Reviews for Parkhotel Hugo de Vries
Review 1:The radiator was switched completely off yet it was warm, making the room too warm for during the night and the windows couldn't be opened. Also the drain from the bathroom emitted a very unpleasant smell and we killed a silverfish in the bathroom and in the room itself.
Review 2:Very friendly staff and a nice ambiance. The entire place was kept nice and clean. The beds were on the soft side for me personally, but still firm enough to not lie in a V.
Review 3:The room was a total let down. In an annex on the ground floor - very dark and "used" and felt rather oppressive. Quite frankly, one night was more than enough and quite a shame as we were thinking about staying there for a couple of nights on our journey home.
Review 4:Stunning looking hotel, in a beautiful little town. Breakfast was very good, situated in a lovely beamed dining room.
Review 5:the ventilation of the single rooms is really poor.
Review 6:quite hotel is close to the village centre, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast simple but sufficient and ok.
Review 7:ordered a double twin room with two seperate beds but on arrival we had to pull the beds apart ourselves. Bathroom was big but no shower curtain. After asking we were given some extra towels to dry the floor. Toilet seat so high that my legs were dangling from the floor [I am 1.70 m tall].Light very dingy. It felt as if we had gotten the invalid room.
Review 8:good location, walking distance from the venue. nice interior of the hotel, friendly staff. Quiet at night.
Review 9:This hotel is set for events, i.e. weddings, thus very big spaces but almost empty. Breakfast was very standard (expecting a little bit more).
Review 10:Big room
Review 11:1 a small table to work w/laptop, lack of convenient plugs 2 no possibility to eat inside, lack of restaurants around, personal advise - avoid Sakkara restaurant! 3 no curtain in the shower (!) 4 the room was started to be heated upon your arrival (why not starting at the check-in hour?); on the 1st day, i had to wear a coat inside the room 5 scarse wall separation: i was listening lullabies for a child staying in the adjacent room!
Review 12:1 wi-fi connection was quite OK 2 polite & helpful staff 3 inspite of other feedbacks, my king-size bed was made of 1 mattress and wasn't too soft
Review 13:Bed was little soft and pillows were poor. The shower does not have any way of controlling the water and the entire bathroom gets wet when you use shower.
Review 14:Good location. Nice breakfast. Cozy atmosphere in the hotel with nice bar. Shower was handicap accessible with raised toilets. Able to open windows in room. Hotel is clean.
Review 15:It was chilly in the room because the windows were open when we arrived and it rained a lot that day.
Review 16:Nice beds, big bathroom. Breakfast was excellent.
Review 17:First room (No.136) was dreadful: Window could not be opened and no airconditioning. The air recirculator made a hell of a noise. Temperature was at least 30 degrees C. (86F.) When I complained the next morning I got a "what do you expect for the money" answer from the receptionist. She did however give me another room which had an opening window and was otherwise fine. Both rooms had empty soap dispensers in the bathroom. Breakfast was adequate rather than excellent. This hotel does NOT deserve three stars!
Review 18:Service from most staff Second room I had was large and comfortable with opening window Wifi signal Parking Close to village Centre All rooms on the ground floor Large flat screen TV

Review 30:Beds were a bit uncomfortable
Review 31:Room Instruction not In English. Got caught out by setting fire alarm off because bathroom door opened when one person left bathroom. Just enough time for moisture / steam to activate fire alarm.
Review 32:The bathroom was a bit chilly because there was no heater inside.
Review 33:Great coutryside building with character and history. Contemporary design combined with tradition. Another great example of great Dutch hospitality and good value. WIFI was good.
Review 34:The hotel has retained most of its period features and is tastefully decorated. The rooms are comfortable and certainly, clean and have free WiFi. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Last but not least it is certainly good value for money.
Review 35:breakfast not very exhaustive / there are no restaurant near around (there is something to eat...) / 2 mattresses were parked in my single room, no way to open my bag / no curtain for the shower / it would be acceptable for € 20, not € 50...
Review 36:quiet around the hotel
Review 37:We were a bit surprised to find out the hotel had no options for lunch or dinner, even though there are many alternatives in the nearby area.
Review 38:Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Very budget friendly.
Review 39:The bathroom should have glass wall (or cabin) to keep the floor dried.
Review 40:I like the design of the hotel. Also, I felt very comfortable when stay in this hotel. It is a peaceful and beautiful neibourghood.
Review 41:Our small group of cyclists found the hotel welcoming and friendly. The unusual decor was most effective and both the evening meal an breakfast were of a very good standard, with pleasant and efficient service.
Review 42:The breakfast seemed expensive, so we chose not to have it.
Review 43:The hotel is very well-presented and we had a lovely big room and very nice bathroom. Comfortable bed, quiet and peaceful. The village has a few bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away.
Review 44:every thing
Review 45:A lot of noise due to the vans of the bathrooms of the neighbourrooms. In general very bad accoustic insulation
