Reviews for Le Riad Villa Blanche

Review 1:Well, the food is expensive and it's a little bit of an effort to walk to the beach to find other eating options. But I was happy to eat at the hotel because we were feeling lazy and the food was great.

Review 2:This place is AMAZING! we dont normally go to posh hotels, but splashed out on a weekend in Agadir in January. An awesome time to go. This hotel is a GEM! Its 10 minutes or so from the beach - but the beach isn't that beautiful, really. There are 2 pools, one indoor heated and the other outside and unheated. Every single corner is beautiful. The food is gorgeous. Its not even that expensive, around €100 per night, but feels like ultra luxury! (To me, anyway!) Simply stunning.

Review 3:I was told that my wedding anniversary cake will be complimentary and I was charged 250 in my final bill.

Review 4:Great hotel to stay, amazing rooms and perfect service.

Review 5:Service is unacceptably slow Breakfast is very expensive and should be included. Sauna wasn't warm enough. Pool mattress and towels are difficult to obtain. Towels left on sunbeds all day. Good for a one or two night stay only.

Review 6:Spacious room with Confortable bed, Spa facilities and treatments are very good

Review 7:Breakfast should be included in room rate Staff are really lovely, but could be slicker and quicker

Review 8:Fantastic food, massive breakfast Good location, near to the Sofitel, a 7 km walk to the marina

Review 9:Quite a long walk to center of town. But close enough.

Review 10:Beautiful place. Staff nice and helpful without being overattentive. Bonus points for the very friendly cat of the mansion, named Jacques.

Review 11:Service in the restaurant & bar was extremely slow... however, always served with a smile, albeit a little apologetic for the time it took for drinks/food to arrive. Suggest more staff be taken on.

Review 12:Villa Blanche is quite simply pure luxury with everything presented in beautiful, traditional Moroccan style. We were welcomed by a strapping hunky porter who carried our bags as if they were light as a feather !!! and escorted to a bright reception area (with stunning wooden carved doorways) for a swift & easy check-in with Rashid. We were offered a welcome drink of sweet Moroccan tea on the terrace & then shown to our room, just a "Classic" double, which turned out to be much more than "just" anything... Our room was stunning, very spacious, beautifully designed & an absolute pleasure to behold! The bathroom, too, was beautiful, lots of little design features everywhere we looked, with separate shower, loo & bidet, and gorgeous tiles throughout! We had a little balcony which looked out onto a tiny courtyard, a comfy sofa, delicious candies in a little sweetie jar, massive bed with fluffy pillows & all-white linens... very impressive! There's a gorgeous spa downstairs which we took full advantage of (pool, Jacuzzi, steam/sauna, massage therapy rooms),and the most amazing interior courtyard area which dominates the centre of this beautiful old Moroccan property, and is all aglow by candlelight once evening falls. All the staff were super friendly, everyone had a smile on their face, and there are even two resident kitties roaming around who were a welcome addition for us cat lovers! We only stayed for one night on this occasion but would definitely return & stay longer next time!

Review 13:This riad is absolute perfection and I am struggling to find a fault! If I absolutely had to say something, it would be that breakfast should be included in the rate - this is ONLY because, my boyfriend and I found ourselves ordering extra for dinner from the night before and keeping it for breakfast or walking to the beach to have something there (5-10 mins walk). As I said this was not a massive obstacle but just an FYI ?

Review 14:I have personally travelled to 16 different countries and stayed in some amazing places but this is without a doubt, the most sensational place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Everything from the decor to the service is absolutely exquisite - we felt like movie stars the entire time!

Review 15:The ocean view is a joke, the hotel is far from the ocean and other buildings block the view, the neighborhood is noisy up to late night hours because it's a popular meeting point for the local people, the air condition was not working, there was a very noisy party in the hotel club up to 2 in the night, so forget about a decent sleep.

Review 16:Not much...

Review 17:AC was not working properly as it was blowing warm air, I've open window but part from next hotel didn't let me sleep well and sun rises on the morning another issue, even after they fixed it next day still not to satisfaction level. King size bed comes with two separate mattresses. No Wifi connection on the 3rd floor, and best you can get in hotel lobby.

Review 18:Atmosphere, quite, good for relaxing. Spa was nice many people come for it from outside of the hotel. The receptionist was very polite and helpful.

Review 19:Staffing. Whilst the reception staff were very good, we found the waiting/bar staff to be fairly poor. During the day, often finding a member of staff to take an order was an effort and the length of time to receive what you ordered was occasionally vast (40mins for two coffees). On the evening we ate in the restaurant the staff were disorganised and kept us waiting for 15mins without menus and the another 15mins before our order was taken. The food was good but the service poor. Overall our feeling was that the hotel could be excellent but the service wasn't at the expected level. Agadir itself is awful so you really want your hotel to be perfect, sadly over a few days the constant waits for food and drinks became too irritating and led to us checking out a day early and heading back to Marrakesh (real Morocco).

Review 20:On arrival the reception staff were excellent, offering us a drink in the bar and giving us a tour of the hotels facilities, whilst our bags were taken to the room. Our room was lovely, spacious and very clean with our own personal wifi router. The pool area was very quiet and relaxing, and easy to get a sun lounger and towel. I also had a massage in the spa which was excellent.

Review 21:OVERALL SERVICES, INTERNET VERY VERY POOR, BREAKFAST, CLEANLINESShowever, the price paid not for the kind of services provided.definitely the management has to look after these details that annoys the guests and instead of enjoying their stay, they have to deal with issues.

Review 22:THE LOCATION AND STAFF . very helpful employees, smiling, answering questions, doing extra mile,

Review 23:It was not possible for me to book two rooms at the same time. That increased the price of the second room for my colleague.

Review 24:The decoration, the atmosphere and the staff.

Review 25:Their restaurant closes in the afternoon and early night. The place is far from other eateries. So buy some snacks and water and keep in the room.

Review 26:Excellent hotel. Goes close to Taj Hotel hospitality, which I rate highly. English speaking staff, nice hammam, overall excellent stay

Review 27:This is a gem of a hotel. You feel like you're a house guest in a wonderful, luxury, villa. So many personal touches, from fresh flowers and welcome treats to sun hats and wraps on the balcony sun beds. The one very very slight drawback is the location as it is at the very end of the bay and so a long walk to the centre but not far in a cab. I definitely want to go back to stay again.

Review 28:Wifi was free but only accessible in common areas. Breakfast was abundant but with all sorts of inappropriate tastes and timings, e.g. Sweet things first and then eggs!

Review 29:The rooms were gorgeous. Plus perfect v reception to watch the French open finals. The tasting menu dinner was sublime.

Review 30:Bed was uncomfortable and the drainage system caused a bad smell in the room from time to time

Review 31:The decor and ambiance were great and the quietness and size were perfect

Review 33:The only but is that breakfast get's a bit boring even if delicious, too sweet and if you have breakfast for several days, you miss a bit ofvariety and (salt),

Review 34:The house is amazing, transmits a lot of peace and taking care ofdetails. The restaurant has a menu with french and moroccan dishes, withsuper high quality prize/level, we had linch and dinner during 6 daysnd food was extraordinary, also good selection of wines. Veryconfortable rooms.

Review 35:If I had to pick something I'd say the wi-fi was a bit iffy, we had hardly any first day but then worked on the second day.

Review 36:Everything from the moment we got there was amazing, I can't say enough good things about the staff, the room, the beds, the food, the little touches. I would recommend anyone to go stay here. It's also at the end of Agadir away from the main tourist area which in our opinion was an advantage.

Review 39:Nothing really - thought twice - nothing really.

Review 40:Small and personal with Moroccan touch in everything - the architecture, design, food, service, spa - everywhere. Excellent service from reception in all aspects incl help in arranging trips out of Agair. Good breakfast. Superb restaurant - ate there on 5 nights out of 7. Away from crowds - yet close to beach and short walk or taxi drive away from activity. Stayed in junior suite with perfect view to the sea. Enjoyed the spa treatments and room service.

Review 41:The first room we were offered was in the basement, with very little daylight. We had to pay extra to move to an upper floor with sunshine on the terrace. The bill comes in Dirham which are then calculated to euro at a very disadvantageous rate.

Review 42:The place is beautiful, with very tasteful decoration. Breakfast is original and nice, but perhaps too sweet after a few days. Excellent service.

Review 43:WLAN was not working in our room, we had to go in the hallway, but we did not care too much about that The gym could use some makeover, the eliptical did not work properly, all in all the Gym is a little old fashioned.

Review 44:great atmosphere, this place is amazing, very well kept and taken care of. the staff is extraordinary, heartwarming friendly, caring, helpful and thinking out of the box. you can tell that they love working there. they love dealing with people, love kids, everybody has a smile on his or her face. the rooms are luxurious, room service comes twice a day the Spa and pool are beautiful, the SPA treatments are just great.

Review 45:Very small quibble. The bedroom was on the ground floor and had no view. Not a problem for us, but sea view rooms are more expensive

Review 46:Room was large, beautifully furnished and very clean. Bathroom excellent. Restaurant food delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Would not hesitate to recommend this boutique hotel.

Review 47:I find it too pricey for the value they offered. I found the staff to lack professionalism. You would expect a hotel at this price point to pay attention to hiring the best. I am a frequent traveler overseas and i can say that this hotel to my surprise was a compete disappointment. A couple examples 1- we used the Jacuzzi, the water was very cold, the heated pool was warmer than the Jacuzzi! talked to the staff and argued that the water temperature is fine, went back again and complained, so they finally decided to call someone to check it....but to my surprise no one apologized or even came to talk to us...! While we were at the indoor pool, we felt that we were being watched closely, they were walking by us back and forth...we felt very uncomfortable. During our first day, the security guys, who looked like prison guards, were watching us bluntly as we were walking in and out the front door, we honestly felt being harassed. That same evening, we walked back to the hotel, the guard actually followed us, i looked back and saw him looking at us as we walked up the stairs. I went right back to front desk to complaint.......i would not go back again to this hotel and i am sure there other hotels at this price point that can offer a much better service! Wifi didn't work inside the room as claimed, it only worked outside.

Review 48:food was good

Review 49:The paint in pool could be redone and maybe other construction for shade around the pool. It is windy in Agadir so a better protection from wind and sun in this supper location would be appreciated.

Review 50:The Riad is small and very fine in comparision to the big 5 stars hotels in Agadir. If one is looking for relaxing time without many people around then it is a place to stay.

Review 51:The staff was very slow, not atrentive ( thecarriers were nice though) The managers were not welcoming and they didnt realky care We got the most noisy room when we asked for a quiet room for young married couple We founf a cockroch in our room !!

Review 52:The room

Review 53:Exterior needs a bit of updating. But that's me being extremely picky. But the hotel deserves it. Other than that small suggestion, I have nothing I didn't like!

Review 54:I love staying at Le Riad la Blanche. It is my 2nd time here and I will be coming back. The hotel is a wonderful example of a bespoke, original, contemporary hotel. From the detail of design to the service and spa are top class. A hidden gem...

Review 55:As elsewhere in Morocco really hard to get a great espresso. But that's about as nitpicking as it gets.

Review 56:Great service and fabulous restaurant. Possibly the best breakfast I have ever been served. The rooms are lovely, generously large and well designed. The spa has an ambience that is unique (I will refrain from describing it so as not to spoil the surprise).

Review 57:Facilities, quality of food, service and orginization. Small structure => all people are VIP.

Review 58:Nice pool and house, very big breakfast

Review 59:Bed should be one single mattress.

Review 60:Loved it!

Review 61:The most relaxing holiday I have ever had

Review 62:Internet and power plugin

Review 63:The calm quite atmosphere

Review 64:Wi fi was a bit weak.

Review 65:Room style.

Review 66:My daughters arm got stuck in the inflow pipe in the swimming pool because there must have been guard missing

Review 67:The staff were very lovely and attentive

Review 68:Nice decor and staff attitude. Great french food

Review 69:The food was quite bland and we expected note variety and flavour.

Review 70:The staff were lovely and the garden and pool were idyllic.

Review 71:The staff were amazingly helpful. The room was perfectly equipped with everything one needed

Review 72:- WLAN in room does not every time work

Review 73:-spacious, quiet room -lovely garden and beautiful decoration everywhere

Review 74:The most beautiful place I've ever stayed in. Lovely staff.

Review 75:the hotel was beautiful. the best bathroom I have ever seen.

Review 76:Wifi weak unless by reception but such a small thing it didn't matter

Review 77:Excellent food , great staff and worth every penny

Review 78:Stuff,

Review 79:I really enjoyed my stay at Le Riad Villa Blanche.. The receptionist is amazing.. He is so helpful and friendly.. The Food is SUPER delicious..

Review 80:Service Comfort Food Lounge areas Bedroom suite Pool Location

Review 81:Quite a long walk to shops and restaurants.

Review 82:Beautiful interiors with attention to detail. Great food.

Review 83:Over priced for 2 nights Costing nearly 700 euros Charged extra for room cause I was with my girl (Moroccan law) so they say Were living in 2014 people !!!!

Review 84:The balcony view over looking other hotels and a tiny bit off the beach :/

Review 85:Nothing

Review 86:Wonderfull place, so comfortable and familiar. Very good quality and beauty. Staff very proffesional and kind, most of all, the guys from the restaurant. Marvellous treatment to every guest. The hotel is very well designed, the ilumination is perfect. The food really good. In a quiet area near the beach but far enough from the mostly ocuppied touristic area. Also with interesting services as massages and hamman. Very recommendable.

Review 87:Service a little haphazard e.g. none of the postcards we gave the hotel never arrived home. Sound proofing between the rooms could be improved but hey, only God is perfect!

Review 88:Passionate staff, fab food, lovely pool and spa. Beautiful hotel

Review 89:Nothing It was perfect

Review 90:a very personal, small, elegant hotel. Worth every penny. I highly recommend this beautiful little hotel. ...& the walk in shower is worth the mention

Review 91:We were in room 103 which is directly above the fitness room. So we had piped music all afternoon and evening. We asked the staff to turn it down and they did, but it was soon turned up again by the users of the room. It took 4 calls to reception over two days to get two lamps in our room repaired. The wifi in the room did not work due to a faulty plug. We got a week signal from the adjoining room.

Review 92:Welcoming staff and attractive decor

Review 93:Allowing smoking in the restaurant during the food service is unacceptable, the food is excellent and the staff are great at the restaurant but smoking should not be allowed.

Review 94:Excellent service, staff always available for our needs and comfort, lovely place to stay, very quite which what we needed!!

Review 95:Background music always played too loud. They had booked in a group that was VERY noisy, with karioki which was NOT what We expected at all.

Review 96:The rooms were very nice, the restaurant also. Staff very attentive, spa good.

Review 97:The gym could have been bigger with more equipment, but for those who like running there are great opportunities outdoors.

Review 98:Beautiful riad - both commonrooms and bedrooms, amazing service and comfort, great food, wonderful pool and spa downstairs as well as a poolarea outdoors. Five minutes walk to the beach. Everything was perfect!

Review 99:Well it is a little out of the way, it's true, but not too much so. Taxis are extremely cheap and plentiful

Review 100:Absolutely incredible from the moment you walk into the hotel. Everything about this hotel is 5 star.

Review 101:I could not fault a thing. It was just perfect

Review 102:I needed a short break away from everything, and wanted a small quiet hotel with a spa, somewhere with some winter sun. From the moment I entered Le Riad Villa Blanche in Agadir, I knew I had made the right choice. The hotel is filled with fresh flowers, roses and lilies, their perfume gives a wonderful welcome. The staff are excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. The attention to detail was amazing, for instance, there was a straw bag available in my room to use to take things down to the beach. My room was spacious and immaculately clean. At night the hotel is lit by dozens of candles, and candles are also lit in the bedrooms and bathroom. Just magical. Despite previous comments I had read about some noise from the road, I heard nothing that I found disturbing to the tranquil environment, even though my room was at the front corner of the hotel, bordered on both sides by roads. The hotel is located at the south end of Agadir beach which seems the quieter end, and the surrounding area is mainly residential holiday villas. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach, where the pedestrian promenade along the bay starts. It is lovely to walk all the way to the marina at the other end, however be warned it is about a 2 miles walk, each way, so do consider a taxi back, although I walked back along the beach in the water, as it cut off some distance, and was nice and cooling to my feet. Most restaurants are located along the promenade, so are some distance away. However, the restaurant in the hotel I thought was excellent, and despite being a bit more expensive than perhaps those in the town, the quality and service more than made it worth it. I ate most nights in the hotel, and was not disappointed once. The restaurant has a very intimate feel to it, and I did not feel awkward being on my own. Breakfast, was well worth the cost each day. Enormous. Everything is brought to your table, and the selection left for you to graze at will.

Review 103:Food was good quality but the do not justify the prices as superior food is available the in area for 1/3 of the price

Review 104:Excellent facilities and comfort.

Review 105:Hotel with ambiance , luxury and intimacy feeling .Wonderful and chicrooms. Candle light and special aromatic smells in the hotel's areacontribute to a very unique atmosphere .Great spa &wellness area.Amazing breakfast near a swimming pool served by polite personnel.Friendly directors. We loved the Afro -colonial Moroccans design andarchitecture of this hotel !

Review 106:Nothing to fault - they've got it completely right.

Review 107:Practically perfect in every way - fantastic rooms (definitely worth getting a sea view to watch the sunset in the evenings), incredible food (there is no reason to go elsewhere to eat - so tasty), lovely staff, short walk to the beach, amazing spa, candles lit in your room and a chocolate left on your pillow every night, lovely pool and poolside service from the staff. A little bit of pure luxury in Agadir. We will be going again - even if just for long weekends to escape the cold and feel truly pampered.

Review 108:The room overlooking the road can be a little noisy at night. The cleaning staff kept taking away bath robes and towels without replacing them, which was odd. We also had some bad surprises when it came to paying the bill. We had been charged an extra £50 for a meal we had not consumed (this was sorted though) and they also insisted we had booked for 3 nights, whilst I had amended the stay through booking.com to 2 nights and this was very clear in the confirmation. It wasn't a nice way to leave the hotel.

Review 109:The place is very beautiful and offering a peaceful atmosphere to relax, whether you choose to lounge by the pool or use the spa facilities. You definitely get the feel of a luxury place, but you also get to pay for it! Our room was very spacious. It is also closer to the beach than we expected, which was nice. We didn't get to go into Agadir, but I expect it's just a taxi drive away. The restaurant is exceptionally good, but expensive by Moroccan standards.

Review 110:Not applicable-we had a superb stay.

Review 111:This riad was fantastic, the room was huge, beds were very comfortableand bathroom was luxury. The bar , courtyards and gardens were reallywell kept and the staff were always on hand to help you. The quality ofthe food in the restaurant, bar menu and breakfast was exceptional. Thelocation meant it was away from the all inclusive resorts along the mainpromenade. Would highly recommend this riad.

Review 112:Excellent boutique style hotel. Booked one night ro be sure then stayed for four. The location if fine, a five minute walk to beach and promenade.

Review 113:There wasn't a non smoking section in the restaurant so it made eating less enjoyable. Also bar menu ends at 6pm so a light snack for dinner wasn't possible and ordering off the menu to get something lighter was made difficult. Bar menu extended after 6pm would be helpful.

Review 114:The rooms are large and light . Super comfortable bed. The spa is relaxing. Hairdresser makes getting ready for dinner a dream come true. Amazing breakfasts by the pool. And serene courtyard for afternoon reading with mint tea.

Review 115:Food v pricey Hammam could have more privacy Price for third bed Exchange rate was poor

Review 116:The staff was friendly, courteous. The toiletries were fab. The food was great. Rooms has comfortable mattresses and pillows with lovely ambience

Review 117:Terrible and very boring hotel. For people under 65 years! Bed flavour, dark pool. Very far from sea . For the first day they gave us complientfruits, which were all rotten, even oranges. We even didn't stay allpaid days and changed to neighbour Sofitel hotel.

Review 118:I ate dinner only once this visit as last time I was disappointed withMoroccan cuisine.I Have to say that I still feel this is the only weakpoint for me .

Review 119:This is my second visit in six months and it did not disappoint. It's a wonderful haven of tranquillity . Rooms are spacious anddecor very tastefully done .The staff are superb - most helpful andfriendly and very smart in their crisp whites. Yassin ,Aschar and Khalidare most accomodating .The spa is small but the treatments are some ofthe best and not overpriced .Pool area is lovely. I look forward toreturning again and will reccomend to my friends. I am from hotelbackground and am usually hard to please but love this place !

Review 120:Breakfast delicious but very expensive, we found a cheap nearby alternative however.

Review 121:Idyllic surroundings, attentive staff who didn't linger, top class facilities. Nothing was too much and we were continually surprised at how much the staff went out of their way to serve us.

Review 122:We had room next to road which was noisy with traffic Traffic noise also by outdoor pool Not relaxed enough for us, better for more mature couples

Review 123:great spa area, pool, jacuzzi etc Excellent restaurant Friendly staff Romantic

Review 124:This Riad is amazing, the rooms are very big, the spa is great and the service is outstanding.

Review 125:Fantastic....best i'v ever been

Review 126:Nothing at all.

Review 127:This must be one of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed at. Fantastic staff, beautiful rooms, amazing breakfast.

Review 128:Not much information or attention from reception staff.

Review 129:Nice building and nice spa and restaurant

Review 130:Breakfast was wonderful in every way.

Review 131:Location a bit far from anything else

Review 132:Lovely atmosphere, great room and fantastic restsurant
