Review 1：The apartment was very basic, had no cereal bowls or no wine glasses, would benefit from an overhaul!! On the plus side it was cleaned twice in the week & the towels changed regularly

Review 8：We did not enjoy the karaoke at all, it was right across the swimming pool and we could hear it as if it was right in front of us. The Tuesday night singer was awful, poor girl! It was not that easy to walk to the village itself, without navigating a couple of dodgy kerbs and roundabouts; however I managed to go by myself and we took the baby in the push chair once. One needs a car, otherwise you are stuck for shopping or going anywhere.

Review 9：It was very safe for our toddler and we had ready access to the swimming pools during very hot days The staff were lovely, especially Sandro, so attentive and polite. With a car, we were able to park up near the river and catch the morning ferry to Tavira Island, which was really handy. The local eateries are very good as well.

Review 14：the apartment we were allocate had problems with the boiler that heated the water and the air con unit. We tried to contact reception but no one was answering landline or mobile. Contact Booking.com who tried to resolve....eventually upgraded to much better apartment. We were there for three days and cleaners did not service the apartment...it would have been nice to have the bin emptied at least once

Review 16：Everything. Some reviewers weren't happy with the walk to the centre.By varying our route each day we found it an opportunity to see more of the town than we might otherwise have done.

Review 27：The staff were so helpful and very accommodating to our requests. When we arrived we were given a map of the town and an explanation of how to travel around, the bus routes etc. We arrived early but were allowed to check into our room which was a nice surprise! It's only a 15 minute walk into town which was very manageable. The pool area was quiet so there were lots of sun loungers and room to swim. Would definitely recommend Tavira Gardens.

Review 28：The linen and towels were to be changed every 3 days. We stayed for 4 nights and the weather was reallly hot. There were a lot of showers taken so perhaps a change of towels more regularly or even leaving double the amount in the apt on arrival would be great and might be something to consider.

Review 29：This was a lovely, well kept complex with pool and tennis court facilities, also a resturant though we didn't eat there during our stay. The office managers were very friendly and made every effort to help out if and when asked.

Review 30：Hot water tank too small in apartment for 6 only allowed 2 showers then went cold had to space showers every half hour. Strong odour coming from the kitchen sink.

Review 32：The location is a serious disadvantage. The place is located right on a busy highway, outside the city. The city centre and the ferry are a good 20-25 minutes walk away, most of it along the highway, with heavy traffic, but no sidewalks and pedestrian passes. It is actually quite dangerous and the managers should seriously consider opening a second exit/ entry point to a back street or a place that is less of a risk for clients not owning a car or not willing to use one at all times.

We really appreciated having a washing machine. While an automatic dryer would have been nice, the clothing rack worked. We appreciated having a restaurant/bar on the grounds. The manager was very friendly and helpful.

Review 68：Location - far away from the city center with the unfriendly and even dangerous accessthere - along fast road full of cars. Access to the beach is a long trip - first to the city center and then by the ferry (once per hour) to the beach. From this perspective Tavira is very god for people travelling accross South Portugal but we would not recommend either the hotel or the toen itself for a stationary vacations aimed for the realx on the beach.

Review 69：Tavira itself is a beautifull small town with a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Lovely narrow streets, beautifull old houses - really enjoyable. The appartment was quite confortable. Supermarket and pastelaria in the close neibourghod. Very friendly and helpfull staff at the reception - the father and the son. Great massage service.

Review 70：It was a 30 minute walk to the town centre. Fortunately downhill, andonly 5 euro taxi drive back. The apartment we stayed in was a littletired and needed redecorating.

The older man in reception was very helpful but the youngerman was quite rude and didn't want to help us at all. Receptionhours are very limited so if you needed help too bad because they wereshut. Wifi reception was very limited. Hair dryer in our room had anelectrical fault but because reception was closed I couldn't getanother one and had to leave a note on our table when we left so thatthe next person didn't get electrocuted.

The setting was very quiet and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the pool area and well kept gardens from our front balcony. Review 85：Location on the wrong side of the busy main road - 25 minutes walk toTavira having to negotiate the main road which has no pavements.Cleaning was a bit erratic. Towels were changed but sheets never changed in a week. Reception guy was lovely and very helpful in all ways, BUT - frequently the reception was completely closed and you never knew if you would find anyone there. Really frustrating when we needed help and I'm not sure what you would do if you mislaid your keys or something like that. The hotel part of the complex was equally unavailable and the advertised bar/restaurant was not open.

Review 87：we stayed in a studio apt which was very basic and old fashioned. TV remote not working, couch very old, curtains need a serious update! Toaster broken. Outside buildings could do with a white wash and railings could be cleaned up. I know it was off season/ restaurant closed.

Weather was warm.The train stop is just a short walk from the Gardens that can take U to Faro or beyond. The bus, Eva is just a short walk from the Gardens which is in the same area as the train stop which can take U to Faro and beyond.The manager was most helpful in train and bus(Eva)schedules/gave us copies of schedules and directions to train stn and bus stop. Review 91：The noise from what sounded like a nearby disco. Didn't have one good nights rest, and I usually can sleep through anything. After. leaving there I spent most of the next day sleeping- would not go back the this place.

Review 94：For people without having a car the location might be impossible to feelcomfortable; It`s next to the main-road (no, it`s not noisy!), but byfeet you could never walk into tavira`s center nor to any beach in thearea! With a car it`s cool as you`re directly on the main-road alreadyhaving a good starting-point!!

The kitchen was a bit used, butfor the price really ok; Also a big balcony was part of the room wehad booked; The TV-Channel selection could have been better, but allin all it was really fine and I recommend Tavira Garden without anydoubts for this price!!

Review 100：As many others have mentioned, the main road without any sidewalk ogother means of security was a great disadvantage. And we had to use thisroad both to go to the supermarket or to town. But we heard that thiswill perhaps be fixed due to pressure from the public. Apart from that,it is very far to go to the beach, 20 min walk plus a ferry 20 min eachway. The beach at Tavira island was beautiful, so it was worth it.
