Reviews for Residence 102
Review 1:though it was known, having the room at the 3rd floor was a hassle when checking in and checking out, getting all the suitcases up and down, so come prepared for that.
Review 2:the room is beautiful and clean, and was big enough for us (2 adults and 2 children). parking was easily found nearby. Our host was very responsive and helpful.
Review 3:For 1/2 the price this might be ok. It is a Very small cramped dark attic. We climbed 5 flights with heavy luggage to reach our room. There were no sheets, soap or shower gel. The owners said the would come home and fix but I booked somewhere else.
Review 4:Location was great. Owners were trying
Review 5:Hosts made you feel at home. Room was very large and comfortable. Loved the breakfast and location was fantastic. Just be aware that it's a typical tall, narrow Dutch house - so be prepared to climb a lot of steep stairs.
Review 6:Everything was wonderful on this quick trip to Leiden. The hosts were wonderful and breakfast was wonderful and started each day on a great note! Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!
Review 7:We were disappointed that the room was not as bright as the photo led us to believe and that the light sources were very dim. We also were surprised that the toilet was outside of the room, altho the shower and sink were inside.
Review 8:The convenience to downtown Leiden.
Review 9:There were a lot of stairs as my room was on the top floor of a 4 story house. But the landlord did offer another room after the first night, which I didn't take up because of only spending 2 nights there.
Review 10:The quiet location beside a canal, very friendly owner, excellent breakfast and brunch. Free wi-fi, comfortable room, tea and coffee facilities in the room, near to the centre of town
Review 11:Free parking a few minutes walk away but not a problem.
Review 12:Comfortable and well-equipped rooms, excellent breakfast, close to centre of Leiden and great hospitality from Leon and Ingrid. We'd recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxing break.
Review 13:No real welcome - never met the hosts, just the son Windows in the room on the first floor hardly opened - it was very hot and airless. And dark... Didn't really expect the Hoover to be left outside the room - looked messy
Review 14:Location was very handy Cannot comment on breakfast as it cost extra so we ate out cheaper.
Review 15:Fantastic little B&B overlooking the Nieuwe Rijn canal in the beautiful and historic Leiden. Not too far a walk from the town centre, and a very quiet and peaceful area. My boyfriend and I stayed in the attic suite- a bedroom with a comfy double bed, dressing room/bathroom, and little terrace overlooking the rooftops of Leiden. Our stay was fantastic- the area was very quiet at night, and the staff/owners were extremely friendly. Plus, there were bikes to rent for 10 euros a day. I would highly recommend Residence 102 to couples looking for a romantic weekend away.
Review 16:Room was really spacious and clean but a little too dark for our liking, windows were small but we didn't stay in the room so we didn't really mind.
Review 17:Perfect location to see Leiden on foot, bikes could be hired from owners but it was so much to see and we would be pushing and locking bikes all the time. The optional breakfast was a real treat with so many special thoughtful touches, it was served better than in a posh hotel. Very friendly and helpful owners.
Review 18:Room could have had a better table to work at
Review 19:Great location. Great Breakfast.
Review 20:Bed in the same room with toilet.I have never seen this before.
Review 21:Recommend the breakfast!
Review 22:My mum and sister had an amazing stay at Residence 102, very hospitable owners!
Review 23:The owners are very helpful and friendly. Very nice neighbourhood, just 5 minutes walking to get in the real towncentre.
Review 24:Home comforts, location, individual attention and service.
Review 25:Such welcoming and knowledgable hosts who made our special weekend visit to Leiden amazing. We had the studio with the lovely roof terrace. The room was clean and had everything you needed to make the stay comfortable. It was just a 5 minute walk into Leiden which is a pretty place, but also very convenient for the train station to travel a bit further afield if you wish! I would not hesitate in recommending residence 102.
Review 26:A lovely place with a great host, Leon! He was very helpful regarding sightseeing & restaurants. The B & B is within walking distance of all the major museums etc. and there are plenty of restaurants & cafes in the neighborhood. Also a grocery store right around the corner and the farmers' market on Wed & Sat just down the street. We stayed in the "studio" on the first floor - very charming and romantic! A great place to call "home" when in Leiden.
Review 27:What a lovely bed and breakfast . We had the room in the attic which was large and airy with a small roof terrace . We would definitely use this residence again and would recommend it.
Review 28:Sheets and towels not changed over a 5 day period ... Bin not emptied in room... Tea and coffee not replenished
Review 29:Lovely location. Nice owners. Gallons of hot water and very good shower.
Review 30:unclear about breakfast and no teabags provided (empty tea cartons) Better have two keys (one each)as we had business/leisure trip combined.
Review 31:Spacious, clean and a very good location
Review 32:Well, the weather was pretty bad but that's not the fault of the proprietors. Lots of steep steps which could be fun with bags and a toddler, but that's to be expected in older Dutch towns.
Review 33:Friendly personal welcome, relaxed and laid back atmosphere, everyone helpful. Oh, and great breakfast.
Review 34:Leon and Ingrid were the most charming and gracious of hosts! We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend their B and B. It was one of the best breakfasts we had encountered on our trip.
Review 35:The breakfast perfect, friendly staff, the area, renting bike.
Review 36:Residence 102 is as beautiful and friendly as Leiden - we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back - thank you!
Review 37:Rather pricy when breakfast was not included.
Review 38:Friendly staff, great location, nicely designed "studio".
Review 39:Toilet outside the room. Only small windows with little daylight.
Review 40:Nice spacious room, with a comfortable bed. Very nice location on the canal
