Reviews for County Inn

Review 1:I was told that it was hotel policy to put my stay on my credit card. I wanted to pay with cash and I was told I could not. It had to be on my card. That makes no sense to me. Also, the staff was never around. The food in the restrauant was awful and burnt, the room was dirty. It was really disappointing. We will never go back.

Review 2:This was the worst place o have ever booked. It began at the beginning of checking in with the two rude older ladies at the front desk playing solitar on their computers.

Review 3:The management was a huge disappointment. Not only did they blame all ofmy concerns on someone else, the made a huge deal and scene in front ofother guests checking in. He also made it very clear that I could goanywhere else if I wasn't pleased but that I would still have to payfor my room rate. He told me that if I wanted things to be better then Ishould not have used anyone outside of his resort to book my stay. Veryrude. They got my room wrong, and when I showed my booking confirmation,he said that was between me and Booking.Com and not them. I only stayedbecause I didn't want him to make double the money on the room Irented. It wasn't like he had a lot of guests waiting but still. Thearea is a tad sketchy too. Overall, I would not recommend this facility. There is a Ramada and a Quality Inn right down the road. Go there andavoid the County Inn!! This is what bad guest service gets you.

Review 4:The room actually matched the picture of the room. The beds werecomfortable. The bathroom was a bit small and the front door had issueswith the key several times, but the room was not an issue.

Review 5:Some plumbing renovation would not hurt.

Review 6:The location is very quiet and restful, the room was spacious, cleaning staff friendly. Downtown Mountain View is around 15 min walking distance.

Review 7:I would have liked some dishes and utensils to go with the microwave during my 10 day stay.

Review 8:Bright room and comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Good cleaning staff.

Review 9:When trying to pay for the rooms for my crew working in that area, the office staff was rude and very hard to understand. Clearly didn't like talking to a woman!

Review 10:Very clean and updated rooms with very comfortable beds, mini fridge, microwave, flat screen TV. Nice pool that is clean and inviting. Will definitely stay here again when in the valley.

Review 11:Was told on check in at 3pm that I could not extend for 2 days as the hotel was already booked. Yet at 10:45 pm booking.com showed a reservation had been made at 4:45 pm. Did manage to extend the next morning. But staff forgot to reprogram door key. When they did it was only for 1 more day not 2. So I had to have it fixed twice. Bathroom door needs some repair. Mold on bottom of bathtub soap dish.

Review 12:Housekeeping staff very efficient and friendly.

Review 13:Front desk and customer service on the phone. I have a recording of a phone two phone conversation you really should hear. If you like send address for attach or text any way you choose.

Review 14:Wi-fi not good in the room furthest from the front desk. Good elsewhere. Pool was cleaned but insects still accumulated.

Review 15:Efficient and unobtrusive service. Room very clean. Nice breakfast.

Review 16:For example, that the stuff speaks poor English, and can't give any advices about local entertainment or must visit /see places, sightseeing. don't know anything about the area the hotel is.

Review 17:Safe not usable (apparently in all rooms), far from any restaurant. In the room, there was ad for ordering food, both companies were out of business. Expensive for the prestation.

Review 18:Quiet, yet close to 101 (no noise from traffic).

Review 19:Slow (but free) WIFi and The beds were too comfortable, they were way too thin and firm. If the place had better beds, it would be a perfect 10 rating

Review 20:The room was very clean and roomy, although the building is dated the place is very well maintained. The owners were kind to us and very accommodating

Review 21:Breakfast was horrible!! No hot breakfast like they advertise, staff was very rude and unaccommodating. My kids woke up with bites all over there bodies to only find out the bed was infested with Bed bugs!!!!

Review 22:I wish I would have never booked here

Review 23:I requested a roll away bed for my 6'1" son, he said no, I requested blankets for the floor (son would be sleeping on the floor), he refused. requested him to call his boss, he said no, I said all hotels provide extra blankets and pillows, he said housekeeping was gone and he didn't have any. Also saw an extra charge of $202.90 for the room, per my credit union the charge was removed. It's not "Country Inn" it's County

Review 24:Clean room

Review 25:Breakfast room does not open on weekends until 8 am and as an early riser this was frustrating. The food and coffee was also of poor quality.

Review 26:Easy access to freeway 85 and 101.

Review 27:The staff was not very friendly. They would not separate our bill. He probably could have, but didn't seem to want to try. Breakfast is fine, but the room is small and the furniture is too big for the space.

Review 28:We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel near the San Jose Airport. The County Inn is that. Not much else. It is clean and the room is comfortable. It provided what we needed for the night.

Review 29:The service at the desk was terrible at check in. The man who was working hardly told me what room we were in, let alone any other information that we may have needed. Our room keys didn't work. My sister and I had to kill several spider in our room, which was very scary and concerning. I was afraid of being bitten in the night. Worst place I have ever stayed.

Review 30:The room was next to the pool. Nice floors.

Review 31:WiFi was basically unusable. The AC unit sounded like a car backfiring into a garage. The staff were perfunctory, but oddhandish. The price I paid did not match the facilities at all.

Review 32:The only thing decent about this place is its location.

Review 33:Only negative is that there was no restaurant within walking distance.

Review 34:Clean comfortable room overlooking the street and the pool area. Some street noise but not a lot. I liked that the lights by the sink and in the bathroom were motion activated. Convenient location--around 10 minutes from Stanford Medical Center.

Review 35:I had a personality conflict with ONE staff member; the owner and staff later fell all over themselves trying to apologise and make up. Excellent hotel. Just don't park in the yellow zone when you are signing in...

Review 36:Staff was friendly and very helpful and did great job. Very clean, very quiet. Great place. Will choose it again next trip.

Review 37:Staff not friendly and not helpful. Room very noisy since close to the road. The room was cold and the AC wasn't working straightaway, it suddenly worked at night and woke me up. Avoid this hotel

Review 38:There was no wireless internet, but there was a cat 5 cable at the desk in the room. I think I actually preferred it because I never got disconnected and I had enough bandwidth to stream TV shows and use Skype. There happened to be a large Chinese-speaking tour group of children staying at the hotel at the same time as I, and I could hear them quite clearly through the walls. I didn't mind it though, and if you stay at hotels often, you know that you can hear guests in adjacent rooms no matter where you stay. There were no scrambled eggs with breakfast, just the standard waffle-maker, cereals, and breads.

Review 39:The room was big, clean, and included a microwave and refrigerator. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was amazing (for my purposes at least).

Review 40:Breakfast too late at the weekends I missed it as I had an early start also a microwave would be handy in the rooms.

Review 41:Rooms were very clean and nice comfortable beds

Review 42:-continental breakfast was very disappointing, almost all breads -outside fire alarm went off twice while there -awful TV channel selection/reception -subpar soap stuffs -location not great for pedestrians

Review 43:-great jump-off location, near freeways, but not noisy -friendly staff (front desk gave me some travel toothpaste bc I forgot mine) -easy parking -comfortable beds -good housekeeping

Review 44:We booked late during a business weekend and were happy to get a room. After staying here, clean room, decent bfast, good location, we will stay again.

Review 45:Some equipment is too old, like the hair dryer, while it is still working, not too bad.

Review 46:Good position, and very easy to park. Air conditioner is very strong.

Review 47:Light sewer smell, from times to times (my room was on the ground floor, in front of the pool). Room a little noisy too (vicinity of the 101 highway)

Review 48:Nice room, standard breakfast, close to NASA AMES where I had a meeting.

Review 49:Saddly the highway noise is always audible, even in the rooms.

Review 50:Central location, near the highway. Good breakfast. A LAN cable in the room provided a very stable internet connection.

Review 51:Somewhat noisy (but my room did face the freeway), breakfast plates and cuttlery all paper and plastic (like in most US Motels)

Review 52:Free Breakfast, free and adequate WLAN (fast enough for video calls), good access both by car (1 min to freeway) and on foot (footpath to downtown Mt. View close by)

Review 53:being given a hard time by the front desk staff and housekeepers about my documented Service Dog for which I provided at check in

Review 54:very clean, very comfortable and safe

Review 55:That breakfast started at 8:00AM on a Saturday! I wish it would have been at 6:00Am. Traveling with a group of kids that were scheduled to have a soccer game at 8:00 was not convenient at all. Had to go out and eat a light breakfast elsewhere. :(

Review 56:No cooked food for breakfast (other than waffle maker).

Review 57:The size of the room was generous with a great bed and was warm and quiet since it isn't on a main road. Good free WiFi and there was an Ethernet cable as well (untested).

Review 58:Front desk staff was not that friendly. Breakfast was a little skimpy, but not a deal breaker.

Review 59:Comfortable room, clean and well appointed. AND QUIET!! Loved this most of all! Also, great adjacency to freeway and running trail.

Review 60:a bit noisy from the road, and from time to time at night from the moffett air field - might be problematic for the light sleepers.

Review 61:nice complimentary breakfast; strong wifi; kind staff at most cases

Review 62:I arrived before check-in time, but agent prepared all the paperwork and even gave me a room on 2nd floor that was reserved. Wow, client friendly attitude.

Review 63:Any place to eat is at least 10 minutes walk away. Furniture is quite dated. One set of power sockets was dangling from the wall: fire hazard!

Review 64:Close to NASA Ames and Steven Creek's trail. Nice new hardwood floor. Quieter location than other places nearby due to greater distance from noisy Hwy 101.

Review 65:Breakfast room opens a little late on the weekends for people wanting to get an early start (8 am)

Review 66:It was a perfect location for our concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre

Review 67:The fact that I had to go to the front desk at 3:00 o'clock in the morning to have my keys re-programmed.

Review 68:The location. Although, I would advise that microwaves be put in rooms and coke machines in vending areas.

Review 69:Not the hotels, fault but when we tried to order food from a menu in the hotel room the vendor was not contactable by the phone numbers on the menu, had to go to a local shop and stock up on snacks.

Review 70:Really helpful staff. Good location for the area. Good price. Room was excellent.

Review 71:The outdoor pool was too cold for the kids to play in. It did look inviting and clean, though!

Review 72:Comfortable beds, nice location for getting around town. The complementary breakfast was handy and had a nice variety of foods.

Review 73:I booked a king room, but got a double queen which wasn't a big deal and there's also a bar near by that was surrounded by cop cars.

Review 74:The room was clean and well kept, AC worked as well as TV.

Review 75:Nothing to tell here actually, was a bit noisy outside one night, but it was a Sat night, which will be probably like that anywhere anyway.

Review 76:Stayed there for 4 nights, exploring the Silicon Valley by cycling around, great budget hotel, friendly staff, super clean, recommend to everyone.

Review 77:This inn was 1.6 miles away from Shoreline Amphitheater, where we attended a concert. We also enjoyed the pool and the friendly staff person who loaned us a blanket without charging us.

Review 78:When I call to confirm our reservation 2 wks prior to our stay, theydidn't have it in the system si when I called booking.com back theyapparently double booked the room. When we checked in, the guy was goingto charge us for 2 the rooms when we only needed 1. Then our airwasn't working right in our room (it blew 2 feet and stopped thereleaving the rest of the room with stale air). We called the front deskto ask for a fan...he didn't have one. He asked if we wantedmaintenance to come by to look at it, I said "no, not now, we aregetting ready for our outing". No sooner than 10 minutes later, themaintenance guy comes barging through our door, no knocking orannouncing himself (he had a key). Thank God I was dressed already!! Myhusband and I were shocked at what had just transpired! We will neverstay there nor recommend to anyone.

Review 79:Nothing

Review 80:Too expensive. It costs about 150$/per night, while the condition is just as good as some other hotel, which only costs 50$. The omnipotent reason might be: this IS hotel located in MTV, California.

Review 81:The room wasnt very clean, there was an old t shirt under the bed thatwasnt ours and a huge joint left in the night stand next to the bed, thestench filled the room. Continental breakfast, my husband went to get usbreakfast and after it was made he was told he could not go back to ourroom, the attendant threw our food in the trash!!!!! No one seemed tocare that this happened!! This is not the way you treat people who payto stay in your establishment!!!

Review 82:They have a nice exercise room and pool.

Review 83:I wish had time to eat

Review 84:Cold floor but clean! Thanks

Review 85:Highest noise room was run down

Review 86:location

Review 89:There were some room mix-ups. Staff seemed not to agree on all items.

Review 90:Room not clean. No respect to "Do Not Disturb" Poor breakfast.

Review 91:It was hard to find the hotel because the signs weren't very visible.

Review 92:The remodeled room was very nice.

Review 93:pricey. almost as much as i paid for beachfront condo in maui

Review 94:reasonably close to shoreline amphitheater and restaurants/bars

Review 95:Everything was fairly close, food, concert venue, freeway .

Review 96:Electrical outlet in room was coming out of the wall

Review 97:Rate

Review 98:easy on/off freeway, located rather close to town and stores. It is quiet and comfortable so I can get some sleep.

Review 99:staff was very unhelpful and unfriendly almost on the edge of being rude

Review 100:clean facility close to venue
