Reviews for Leisure Inn Spires
Review 1:Blood stains on the bed sheets, Party upstairs at 1am, dust in all the blankets, bedside tables with drink stains not wiped down, sanitary items left in the bathroom bin!!! have photo evidence of all the above!
Review 2:Facilities are fairly old and not that shiny. The biggest issue is the train running at night making huge noises. I'd say it's kind of a exciting experience when the entire building start to shake a bit. But it may not be suitable for those who want a quality sleep.
Review 3:Good location, less than 10 minutes drive to three sisters and scenic world. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Room is tidy.
Review 4:The apartment complex is in an excellent location. It's at the main (Sydney/Katoomba) road end of Leura mall (and super easy to find having driven from Sydney) and then it's an easy walk down the street browsing one way, and walk back having seen the entire main shopping/dining precinct. Double "glazed" sliding doors in the bedroom area, keeps it quiet, whilst there is a "real" window that actually opens, in the bathroom.
Review 5:I enjoy a cup of tea but the quality of HARRIS is poor. Also, heavy duty mugs do nothing for a cuppa. A third of a roll of toilet paper was supplied with no replacement. There is mould on the tiles in the shower recess. There is no fan in the bathroom which fogs up considerably if the door is kept closed, as requested.
Review 6:The unit was quite spacious, lots of room to relax in comfort.
Review 7:No lifts, several levels of stairs, very little kitchen utensils, very little toilet paper, tiny towels, limited wifi, between noisy busy road and railway, no reception or service after 6pm.
Review 8:Space, aircon
Review 9:Noise from freight trains at night
Review 10:The size of the apartment Proximity to Leura Village shops, and restaurants/cates On-site restaurant Ground floor accommodation
Review 11:The next day i found my car had been damaged in the car park.someone had been carelesss and slammed there door against mine :(
Review 12:Very convenient to all the main attractions , shops and restaurants. Undercover parking was handy as the weather was poor on the day.
Review 13:Our carpets were wet from a leaky water pipe which gave way & was replaced few days before we checked in. The carpets remained wet throughout our 2 days stay. Unable to change room as the manager told us the 2 bedroom apartments are fully sold.
Review 14:Apartment is big. Complimentary 1 day breakfast as a gesture of compensating the wet-carpet
Review 15:Only one chair on the deck. I know it is small But traveling with my partner, it would have been nice to sit out there together.
Review 16:Jason at the front desk was amazing and went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He is invaluable to the location and made a lasting impression.
Review 17:A smoke alarm in our unit started going off repeatedly one morning. Not exactly their fault though.
Review 18:Clean and comfortable. Right near all the shops. Staff very friendly.
Review 19:Lack of cleaning, bathroom bin was not emptied from the previous guests, could hear the above people stomping around all night and going in and out of the balcony smoking, bed is small
Review 20:Great location to the Main Street , secured undercover parking
Review 21:No lift which may be a problem for some.
Review 22:Although between main highway & railway you would not know. Delightful location, Leura is lovely and the shops, bars etc. are just 100 yards away. Great for visiting the 3 Sisters, Wentworth Falls and Scenic World. Clean & comfortable, nice gardens, covered parking, free WiFi, Washing Machine & Dryer.
Review 23:Apartments not serviced only had one towel each and one tea towel for 3 days.
Review 24:Great location, handy to the train station and shops and hop on hop off bus. Lovely apartment. Leura a lovely town to stay at if you are going to the Blue Mountains,
Review 25:The fact that we didn't get any house cleaning and when requested the ONLY thing that was done was the 3towels changed nothing else not even vacuumed through, and the oven was fillthy
Review 26:Room overlooked the apartments in the next block. Lack of privacy when in the bathroom as the windows were not frosted all that well.
Review 27:Close to main centre of town and restaurants.
Review 28:There was some banging noise at around 6.00 am which was quite loud and went on for a while. I couldn't work out whether it was inside the building or someone loading a truck outside. Entry to the room was through two doors. Inside the first door was a short hall with doors to two apartments and a shared laundry. I was concerned about banging of doors and chatter in that space but heard nothing so assume the apartment next door was not occupied.
Review 29:The location was so easy to find with close proximity to town, cafes and so on. The rail station was close by adding potential to hop on a train. Secure parking underneath the building at no additional cost was a plus, and the big bonus was my husband was happy.
Review 30:Both my girlfriend and I loved the location, the spacious, cosy, beautiful apartment. The security and the friendliness and willingness of the staff to help.
Review 31:Having stayed at this property on a number of occasions we found that the self contained kitchen was not as well supplied with the necessary utensils as before. The self dispensing soap containers in the shower area had been removed and a substitute supply of soap was not provided. the room was also starting to show signs of ware and tear.
Review 32:Location and room configuration is great.
Review 33:Just an awareness. If I was much older, I would not have been able to get into the shower. Steep climb over the bath to get to the shower.
Review 34:Warmth and comfort.
Review 35:Very large, spacious rooms. Extremely clean and kitchen contained a decent range of cooking utensils. The bed was very comfortable and the spa bath of a reasonable size and depth. Short walking distance to the town centre and all round a great place to stay. Staff were very friendly and definitely well priced.
Review 36:good location. you could walk to shops and restaurants. my husband and I had a studio with a kitchenette. the heater was just right to warm us up on that very cold night...
Review 37:we had a 2 bedroom apartment. only place where there was reverse cycle heating was the lounge. unfortunately, it snowed on the day we were there and the electric blankets and oil heaters were not sufficient to keep our room warm
Review 38:loved how close it was to leura mall. walking distance to shops and restaurants and my favourite breakfast café in leura
Review 39:The shower head and flex didn't work and had been stuck together with duct tape when we arrived, also on our arrival the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes !!? The plug didn't fit the kitchen sink. Staff were apologetic and rectified the problems next day (gave us a comp. b'fast voucher). Beneath our unit young people rent and the loud booming party music on 3 nights made sleep before 11.30 pm challenging.
Review 40:The closeness to Leura shops, cafes meant we could leave the car behind. Heating was excellent, we were always comfortable despite low temps outside.
Review 41:The climb upstairs with luggage.
Review 42:The convenient location, very clean with excellent facilities and that included access to free laundry washer and dryer. And since we were there in winter the electric blanket was very welcomed.
Review 43:Told it was Ground floor, wife is walking handicapped, no lift, two flights stairs from garage no parking space to offload and set up walker too far to entrance. Advertised wrongly unsettled my wife.
Review 44:The staff members cheerful and helpful
Review 45:Hard to locate at night. Poor signage and not illuminated. Property seems to be residential apartments with some used for hotel accommodation. Hence building common areas are sparse and clinical - not welcoming. Reception closes for check in at 6pm??? Really had no customer service experience other than an intercom voice. Remote to u/c parking didn't work Studio was really just a room A/c was temp limited so didn't heat room. Oil heater was insufficient for Blue Mtns in winter so room remained uncomfortably cold. Have stayed at Leisure Inn in Hunter Valley and this property didn't carry the standard.
Review 46:Spotless and clean Good bed albeit electric blanket had wires hanging from control unit - disconcerting Located in beautiful Leura
Review 47:Room needed a little TLC. Electric blanket didn't work, some lights didn't work, Television kept losing the picture. Small things that can become annoying if not fixed
Review 48:Massive rooms, really good for travelling with a teenager. Location perfect for walking to town for dinner
Review 49:Not knowing where to find reception was irritating, particularly after a long drive, but staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation looks to be well used and in need of some maintenance.
Review 50:The location for this accommodation was excellent, very close to the main shopping centre and places to eat. The view across to the mountains from the veranda was excellent. Heating was efficient.
Review 51:Doors didn't close properly so had to be slammed which made for loud noises and tripped on lip coming from grage to stairwell twice very dangerous.
Review 52:Comfortable and warm.
Review 53:No lift to Level 2 from car park. Air conditioner blew cold & hot air simultaneously. It was a cold night on arrival, it would have been nice to arrive to a warm room. Instead the room was an ice brick.
Review 54:It wasnt as clean as I would expect it. The pans and other cooking and eating utensils were filled dusts. The same goes for the washer and dryer...my wife and I had to completely wipe off the dusts from them. It was so dusty that we couldnt stop sneezing. This was after we requested that the room be cleaned off from dusts. The carpet was also stained and looked like it wasnt clean at all. Am very peculiar about cleanliness
Review 55:I loved the location of the room, close to a nearby train station and shops. It also has wonderful apartment units with all the cooking utensils, laundry and a great backyard view. Perfect for a family getaway.
Review 56:Booked 1 x 1 bedroom + 1 × 2 bedroom for my family from China. But hotel made mistake of the booking and insisted they were right. We argued for long time but they not cooperate and kind of forced guests to accept an extra room. Really disappointed with the customer service. Waiting for the solutions.
Review 57:Stayed in a Studio Apartment that unknown to me was part of a larger unit (that is a larger unit that could be rented out as 2 separate smaller units) and so shared a common entry passage and laundry and had its door opening off the common entry passage. My problem was that noise insulation between the rooms in this larger unit was poor. The TV next door went all day, doors slamming and people talking were all quite noticeable. However people in adjacent completely separate units could not be heard at all. Also as these units are next to the motorway and train station a unit in the middle of the complex will be quieter. All said I would stay there again, as I am not in much during the day.
Review 58:Location was great. So easy to access from the motorway or trains. The shops and cafes just a walk away as well as a Woolworths. Double glazed windows for warmth and noise reduction. A small balcony.
Review 59:Room had a very bad smell, like wet carpet. Couldn't get rid of it no matter how many windows we opened.
Review 60:An easy walk to all the quaint little shops and restaurants. Loved the location!
Review 61:Towels are tiny. Better if serviced so towels changed & bins emptied (stayed 3 nights). Kettle hard to fit under tap to fill.
Review 62:Location, price, clean, comfortable.
Review 63:Train noise from goods train was extremely loud an sounded horn in middle of night. Passenger train noise was not a problem just a gentle rumble.
Review 64:Very close to centre of town and able to walk to cafes. No noise from other guests.
Review 65:If you shower, be sure to close your door as the steam sets the smoke alarm off.. But other than that Beautiful Place and Surroundings enjoyed by all!!
Review 66:Walking Distance to all amenities with The Beautiful Back drop of the Blue Mountains..
Review 67:Great location, plenty of parking, large rooms. It was functional rather than attractive, although we were fortunate to have a room overlooking grounds rather than the main road.
Review 68:I love the location, being within walking distance of the main shopping area & cafes/restaurants....We have stayed with you on many occasions for the above reasons & look forward to our next visit, can't wait....Love Leaura...
Review 69:The bed was so uncomfortable! The second night we tried to soften it up by putting the futon mattress on top. The next night my partner slept on the futon and I slept in the bed. We actually checked out a day early because we couldn't deal with the bed. Our bodies hurt, we were tired and grumpy and decided enough was enough.
Review 70:We were kindly upgraded upon arrival. Good location. Nice clean appartment.
Review 71:Wifi not working. Voicemail left at after-hour number, did not receive responds. Bed too soft that leaves me with backache. "Opened" Milk for coffee/tea not removed from fridge. Visible dusts and cobwebs from heater and balcony.
Review 72:Peaceful environment, minus the view. My son loves the Jacuzzi-tub. Room is spacious and well-equip. Received fresh towels eventhough room is not supposed to be serviced during our stay.
Review 73:I had read some reviews about train noise at night. If you are a light sleeper (I am) you may hear a train occasionally but the duration in 10-15 seconds at most. We stayed 6 nights and were used tot he sound on night #2.
Review 74:This was our first visit. We travelled by train and proximity to the Inn was a plus for us. Front desk personnel Jacob and Bianca were the best--professional, caring, helpful. Our room was a delight, one of the three best we've ever booked (the other two were a Disney Property and Saddlebrooke Golf Resort.) We recommend the chinese restaurant a 5 minute walk for the Inn, and the bakery at Wentworth towards the end of the mall. For those who like to walk, it is less than a mile to Gordon Falls, a spectacular view of the Blue Mountains. A day earlier we viewed the mountains from Katoomba, along with a couple hundred other folks; I had the Gordon Falls view to myself! One caution, it includes 119 steps to get down and then again up.
Review 75:Studio Room is dark, no out look. One bedroom apartments have a lovely outlook onto a park and are very spacious. We've stayed in both. Pay extra for the one bedroom.
Review 76:great position
Review 77:The restaurant food could have been better.
Review 78:Loved the fact that there were so many bird species and that it was such a country style location to relax in.
Review 79:Reception area is detached from the accommodation area and was difficult to find as a first timer to this hotel. Staff were indifferent to my claims of reception being poorly sign posted (they weren't walking around in the rain trying to find it!).
Review 80:Easy access to Leura Mall, good bed and bathroom
Review 81:We got a two bedroom. No Make up. No clearing of bin, no housekeeping for 3 days. We have to inform to get the bin clear. Hotel Reception staff not knowledgeable about the area. Stained Carpet and sofa is dirty. Not recommend to stay as a travel service apartment.
Review 82:I have mobility issues and requested ground floor. Was allocated top floor with three flights of stairs from car park! There is no lift. Managed to be relocated one floor below original unit. Stairs were a real problem.
Review 83:Excellent location and huge rooms.
Review 84:It didn't bother us, but the accommodation is close to the train line so you could hear (quite loudly) the trains coming in. This proximity could be a plus if you're arriving on public transport.
Review 85:Spacious, clean apartment. Cockatoos came to visit our balcony, which our little boy loved!
Review 86:Spartan / no frills Tired feel and carpet stains didn't help WiFi inconsistent No coffee plunger as per photos
Review 87:Spacious apartment Convenient Secure parking
Review 88:Nothing.
Review 89:Everything was provided. Microwave oven, toaster, large fridge, great TV (cable), a safe and even a breadknife. The location couldn't have been better.
Review 90:-starting to look tired, we have have been staying here for many years and the place is starting to look like it needs a lick or paint etc
Review 91:-cheaper than the resorts -clean -large rooms -friendly staff -secure parking -privacy -location
Review 92:They are advertised as "serviced apartments". On a five day stay my apartment was not serviced even once!!!!!
Review 93:Location Large TV (but located too low down)
Review 94:Wifi information not available in room as stated on arrival, so couldn't connect. No lift available.
Review 95:Spacious 2bedroom appartment, easy to find location, parking available for free.
Review 96:Small No foxtel No plug to wash up Hard pillows Shower damaged
Review 97:Great location clean and newish. Only the bathroom to wash dishers and no plug for the sink..never found the foxtel. Would stay again we put the extra blanket over the cheap electric blanket which made the bed more comfy pillows need replacing. Great bathroom Huge shower which was nice but the shower head was damaged so had to hand hold it.
Review 98:Lacks old worldly blue mountains character
Review 99:Location - so close to Leura mall cafes etc Apartment style Secure parking Modern and clean Well kept Well supplied with toiletries incl shaving cream
Review 100:Noise from the constant trains. Kitchen with no oven trays, limited utensils and doors that don't close properly. Bathroom that still had hair in the bath/shower, hair behind the doors and on the walls. Stupid dispensers for liquid soap, bath gel etc that leak so we had a soap slick making it's way across the floor. Got a 2 bedroom, which didn't work out well with small children. Both bedrooms are at opposite ends which was like 2 separate apartments with 2 different keyed doors, but with one main outer door. Just not pleasant at all.
Review 101:There is nothing really all tht good I can say about it. So loud from being right on the train tracks and just overall grubby.
Review 102:The apartments do not have lifts, so if you are assigned of an apartment on a higher floor, you may have to lug your luggage all the way from the car park to the room.
Review 103:2-bedroom apartments are really spacious with en-suite bathrooms in both bedrooms. Beds come with heaters, hence, make sleeping more comfortable in cold days. Living and kitchen areas are of good size, too, very convenient for cooking and dining in. Apartments come with a washing and drying machine. Car park lots are ample and free. The apartments are situated right on Leura Mall, within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Woolworths.
Review 104:Price was a bit expensive for what you got. Staff was ok but not the most friendly we encountered on our trip.
Review 105:The facilities were nice and close to shopping and restaurants in downtown Leura. Out of the whole Blackheath/Leura area we were happy to have been where we were.
Review 106:Shower over bath in one bedroom apartment is very unsafe for elderly people. Shouldn't gave to pay for Internet connection.
Review 107:Location at the top of Leura Mall was excellent. Apartment was a generous size. Double glazing being installed will much improve the constant train track noise at night.
Review 108:Cups and plates hadn't been washed properly from last guests, if you are a light sleeper there is minimal sound proofing which means you hear road & train noise & slamming doors & loud guests.
Review 109:Comfortable bed, ample space in the studio apartments, "Green" toiletry dispensers in the bathroom, free access to a washing machine if needed, short walk from train station and town centre.
Review 110:no reception on some tv stations no response from stffl after calling after hours service. air con needing attention
Review 111:spacious room very clean great bathroom
Review 112:The trains during the night were quite loud. The bath was very high, a bit awkward to get in and out of. I would prefer just a shower Without the bath/spa
Review 113:Lovely country setting close to everything the Indian restaurant is excellent, best Indian we have had for a very long time
Review 114:It sounded as if the train was in our room! At night it was dreadful, especially the coal trains.
Review 115:Position at top of Leura Mall was great for shopping. Eating out was easy. Parking area good
Review 116:Trains rattled past. No table on balcony. Phone in apartment didn't work. Drink splatters on cupboard. No dishwashing liquid for hand washing. No tea towel.
Review 117:Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Shower head was excellent! Even though it was close to the rail line, it was also very handy to the shopping village.
Review 118:We didn't like the fact that as a disabled person we were up on the 3rd floor it took all the enjoyment out of being in the area as I couldn't leave the room also the air con didn't work and it was too cold in the unit*(
Review 119:We liked most things but the facility is no good for a disabled person the spa bath was my best friend while we were there*(
Review 120:Could hear the trains due to it being right next to the train line The place was dirty the microwave wasn't clean had someone else's food stuff splattered in it
Review 121:Your staff were incredibly friendly, from booking through to departure, they were smiling, helpful and informative. The location is ideal, being at the top of Leura Mall.... The room sizes were large and very comfortable!
Review 122:Some of the dispensers for the shower needed topping up. This was mentioned to the reception in the morning who was going to action it on the course of the day while we explored. When we came back in the afternoon they were still empty and when we called the reception again we were told that they cant do anything about it as they were closing soon. Other than that, the stay was good.
Review 123:Location is absolutely fantastic. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. Good facilities and comfort.
Review 124:The rooms were old, and tired looking. Did not feel very clean. Train noises were annoying, but not overly distracting
Review 125:The location was convenient for most BlueMountain attractions. The restaurant next-door was nice. And the room size was quite large...
Review 126:The kitchen facilities were very basic. Large but very minimal cutlerly, crockery & utensils. We were a group of foodies with children travelling and with Woolworths down the road we found the kitchen equipment to be somewhat basic.
Review 127:Love the big spacious rooms. We spent time indoors due to wet weather and had more than enough room for the family to be comfortable.
Review 128:Wonderful room for the price. Great location next to shops, restaurants and cafes. Loved the courtyard green space. Quiet stay. Option of covered secure parking was a perk. Close-by laundry facilities is just what we needed.
Review 129:Could hear railway line. There was mould in top corner of bedroom and on loungeroom curtain.
Review 130:The location was great, was able to stroll around the antique shops. Staff were lovely and helpful.
Review 131:Noise, traffic and rail noise could be hear at night. Internet access, it would have been nice fit was for free. Extra blankets would also would have been nice.
Review 132:Our room was a good sizes and fairly clean. Kitchen was good. Hotel location was good , but noises road traffic.
Review 133:Rude introduction, even though we had paid and booked online, difficult and complex sign in. Expensive WiFi. Dirty sink. Pay for every service. Not a "serviced apartment"
Review 134:Close to beautiful Leura. Location, location, Good underground car park.
Review 135:batteries were missing in tv and airconditioner controls in one of the bedrooms ?
Review 136:Loved the layout, bath , heating and kitchen facilities . Beds were comfy
