Reviews for Residencial Popular

Review 1:We arrived in festival week so the noise was horrific! Best to carefully check dates in October. Disco music till 5am. Not the hotels fault. I've had no sleep at all.

Review 2:Very central. Right in town. Very small but super cheap and friendly. Basically in a car park but I adore the place. Super clean, well looked after, great wifi, attached to the best restaurant in town.

Review 3:Very loose wi fi connection. No breakfast included and wasn´t easy to find a coffee shop open on a sunday morning.

Review 4:Central. Clean. Good value for money.

Review 5:So noisy at night until 3am and bed was uncomfortable. Pillow was tiny. I barely slept the whole two days I was there. The hotel in near the fort and in an area with s lot of restaurants. It also has s public car park out the back. So the music and people noise from the restaurants is crazy and doesn't stop until about 3am. You have to have the window open as too hot with it closed so no relief from the music and people coming and going. My room had ocean view. Maybe ask for one at the other side of the building? Might be quieter.

Review 6:Lady at reception was very nice

Review 7:In a 3 night stay they provided clean towells only at the second day after arrival. The bars near the room are cool if you want to stay awake whole night drinking and having fun, but too noisy if you want to rest at 1am for instance I understand that sometimes staff may be too tired, but that doesnt mean the customers should feel that on the way they are treated

Review 8:Near downtown and close to the restaurants; Parking

Review 9:Very noisy street. Difficult to find if you don't have google maps... Oue GPRS didn't know the Streetname..

Review 10:Clean, very very good location (bars, Restaurant, hugh public parking area for free) bright room. Everything was okay for us and for that price ( we staid there in the end of Sept.)

Review 11:staff us untrained and quite indifferent took forever to check in as if it was fort knox wanted money up front very gruffly room was a matchbox

Review 12:centrally located

Review 13:not so easy to be found, and then there was nobody in the recaption (we weit 15 minute before someone to come)

Review 14:the room is clean, is near a bar so is a lillte laud in the morning.

Review 15:Had reserved 2 rooms with a fridge each..only one room had this facility and as the Hotel was fully booked it could not be changed. The difference in the 2 rooms was disappointing, one room was tiny and the other was large with plenty of space..both had paid the same room rate. The first night as there was a local festa on was very noisy, some guests left at 7am in the morning and were not quiet about it...no noise insulation through the doors into the stairwell so could hear everything. The second night was much quieter and so slept much better, The restaurant fan noise could be heard in the day but when it mattered at night, they were switched off and did not disturb us...we were in rooms 201 (small) and one window to the side and 202, large with windows to the side and front...on the 2nd floor in the main Hotel part.

Review 16:Loved the location ~ great for restaurants and bars, and only a short stroll away to the boats over to the Isla de Berlanga which is what we went there for . Cleanliness and general condition of the rooms were good. The staff were friendly but spoke no other language than Portuguese, not a problem for us as we speak Portuguese, but if you don't then be prepared if you need any information. No breakfast but this wasnt a bad thing as a similar Hotel across the road wanted 25 euros extra a night to include breakfast...opposite the Hotel was a Pasteleria and we had tea and toast for 4 euros for both us and we could have had juice and pastries etc as well.

Review 17:The check-in procedure took incredibly long: instead of photocopying our IDs, the receptionist took almost 10 minutes to manually fill out a form with all data, with some difficulty (she only spoke Portuguese).

Review 18:The establishment is conveniently located in a lively street, with many restaurants and bars. Big, free parking just in front of the entrance.

Review 19:The hotel is in a building placed between two Pubs, with loud musicplaying ultil 4:00 am. If sleeping in something you want to do duringyour stay, just avoid this hotel.
