Reviews for Kamma Guest House
Review 1:We loved the roof top breakfast every morning. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, from baggage portage to directions. The value was superb. Accommodations are simplistic and small but updated and clean and for my family it was perfect as we spent zero time in our rooms.
Review 2:The water channel outside was a little noisy at night but that's not the hotel's fault - and it's really interesting to stay in an old Inca village.
Review 3:Fantastic, friendly staff who let us leave our bags there while we were in Aguas Calientes overnight, lovely breakfast with fruit, rolls and really good scrambled egg. Laundry was turned around in less than 24 hours.
Review 4:Nothing!
Review 5:Everything! Liz and Paola were just wonderful. They gave all the information of where to visit and eat. We enjoyed our stay very much. Very comfortable and relaxing before starting our inca hike to Machu Picchu. Definitely recommend.
Review 6:Our stay at Kamma Guest House in December 2015 (4 nights) was perfect. The location is great, the rooms were very clean and cosy and you have a nice view on the old Inca walls/ruins. The breakfast was the best we had in Peru and the view from the rooftop terrace is great. Liz and Paola and the rest of the staff are lovely and were always ready to help. Among the hotels we stayed at in Peru, this was definitely our favourite!
Review 7:- Warm hospitality of staff - Convenience of location - Cleanliness of room - Superb view of town on roof Ollantaytambo is less touristy & affordable place to stay than Aguas Caliente, only 1.5hr train ride away. Local elderly still in dressed traditional clothing. Handful of simple or trendy traditional & fusion restaurants & cafes. The girls at reception are very sweet, helpful & informative. Securities are always visible in main square & tourist sites. We feel very safe & comfortable in this small town.
Review 8:The establishment is new, very clean and bright, we were welcomed with a big smile and useful information. The breakfast is good and fresh, the sitting area is warm with tea, magazines to read ... We love this place and we hope to come back again.
Review 9:The owner was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English! The guest house was cute and cozy with clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again
Review 10:None
Review 11:Great little guest house with an excellent view and a great breakfast. Owners Liz & Paola were fabulous and were very nice, even looked after our bags while we looked around ollantaytambo before we caught the train to Aguas Caliente. Would highly recommend staying here.
Review 12:Everything is great: Liz was responding quickly to my emails with the questions, she speaks a good English and is a very helpful. Hotel is nice, located very central and its only 15 min walk to the train station to catch the train to Maccu Picchu. And we had a breakfast in a bag and a coffee ready for us at 5:30 am.
Review 13:This is a charming small guest house owned and run by two women. They were very helpful and nice. The roof terrace provided incredible views around the town. The location is good, very close to the center on a charming cobblestone street. The room was small but the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed for our short stay.
Review 14:We loved the location (very close to 2 of major sight seeing spots and the plaza), the service (very friendly staffs that made us feel welcomed), the pretty little rooms, the breakfast in the rooftop, the price, etc. We loved absolutely everything about this cozy place. If you're visiting Ollantaytambo, this is the place to stay!
Review 15:Friendly helpful owners and staff that speak English. Great location on quiet street. Great breakfast, comfortable beds with nice comforters. I didn't want to leave. Strong wifi in my room. I highly recommend this hotel!
Review 16:Friendly extremely helpful owners. Breakfast on the roof terrace was wonderful. The setting in the middle of the old village but away from the main tourist area was ideal for acclimatising to altitude
Review 17:Our only complaint would be the noise. Lots of people walking by and shouting throughout the night and there was a disco club thumping music until 4:00 a.m.
Review 18:Lis & Paula were delightful and very helpful. They packed us a lunch for Machu Picchu and were available any time we needed something. The room had a beautiful view of the ruins and mountains. Nice breakfast and clean facilities.
Review 19:A bit overpriced compared to other hotels in Ollanta which offer the same services and level of comfort.
Review 20:Very helpful staff that helped us plan and book our trips and transfer to Cusco. Lovely breakfast and stunning view.
Review 21:A street light kept us awake until the owners provided a thick curtain to exclude the light.
Review 22:Situated in the old Inca part of Ollantaytambo, in a narrow stone paved street. A path opposite the front door leads up the mountain to more Inca ruins . The guest rooms, however, have modern facilities and comfortable beds. Tasty breakfast served on the upper floor, with views over the historic ruins. Very knowledgeable owners, speaking excellent English.
Review 23:This is the place we preferred during our trip in the Cuzco area. The hosts were nice and welcoming, the place is very new and the breakfast was the best I had in ages!
Review 24:Loved this place. Liz was super friendly and gracious. The views from the breakfast balcony are outstanding. The room was clean and the showers were hot.
Review 25:We enjoyed our stay at Kamma Guest House very much. Very clean and comfortable, welcoming and friendly staff and great location. Homemade breakfast every morning was a wonderful way to start the day. We highly recommend this place!
Review 26:We had read about not taking our wheelie bags into Ollantaytambo but we did. Not a good idea because the village is made of stones. Take a small backpack.
Review 27:The welcoming was great. The twin room faced the main street with a water canal running and a view to one of the ruins. 5minute walk to Plaza de Armas and all the food and facilities. Breakfast was simple, freshly squeezed orange juice and we were asked if we wanted eggs. They kept our bags while we went to Machu Picchu (it's very normal to leave your bags in Ollantaytambo) for free. Both girls/owners we talked to always had a genuine smile on.
Review 28:There should be a mirror on a wall somewhere other than in the tiny bathroom.
Review 29:The breakfast is quaint and yummy with a nice view. The building is well maintained and clean.
Review 30:This is an excellent guest house. Liz and Paola are absolutely amazing hosts and I highly recommend this guest house. The comfort, the breakfast, the personal touch, and the guidance around their town was more than I have ever received from an inn. Kudos to an excellent duo!
Review 31:There was not much to write in this space!
Review 32:Lovely small hotel with awesome views and the most lovely owners! Clean rooms, great 360 degree views from hotel terrace and a quiet part of town. The owners - cannot say enough of how helpful (arranged for taxi, food recommendations, etc) and general overrall help.
Review 33:It's harder to get to the hotel with a luggage as you have to walk about 200m up to the hotel from the main road, but that being said the calm surroundings are worth that small downside.
Review 34:Kamma guesthouse is located in a very calm area of town, right in front of the start of the climb to the hill facing the Inca fortress. Personnel was very nice and helpful. Hotel is very clean and amenities are of good quality. View from the breakfast location (on the rooftop) is beautiful.
Review 35:The hotel is rather new, and everything works well. They have a very nice roof top with views over ollantaytambo and the ruins, where they do breakfast! The staff is very caring, they were even here for our check out at 4 am and had prepared a snack box since it was too early for the breakfast.
Review 36:Nothing! All was perfect!
Review 37:- Location: excellent!!! built on an ancient Inca city! Relaxing water flow in a small inca canal just outside our room. - friendly and helpful staff, speak well english, very kind. - bedroom: clean, nice, hot water, new, very comfortable bed. - nice view of inca's ruines from the hotel's restaurant situated on the hotel's roof.Delicious breakfast!!! Review 38:The staff were amazing!!! Spoke perfect English, really friendly and helpful even went through the bin the find my immigration card which I threw out accidentally!! Wifi was not working but they let me hotspot from a mobile! Room was lovely and clean, there was a slight problem with ants but nothing major. Amazing value would definitely recommend!!
Review 39:I would have loved to stay longer here but we were too pushed for time. :-(
Review 40:AMAZING town, AMAZING location, AMAZING hostal. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with the most stunning views of the surrounding area. Most wonderful breakfast experience of our entire trip!
Review 41:The staff was so welcoming n helpful- did our laundry , amazing breakfast included with the stay at the top Terrace of the hostel. Location is convenient but at the same time allows you to relax in your room because no cars can go by that street
Review 42:Room was a bit small but that didn't bother us
Review 43:Water running outside of window is tranquil, fantastic rooftop patio with spectacular views and warm glass enclosure for breakfast.
Review 44:If you have roller luggage rather than a backpack, you need to lift your luggage from 1 of the main streets to the hotel b-c the streets are cobblestone.
Review 45:The 2 managers were absolutely fabulous! They helped me book my trip to MP last minute and they helped me get transportation from Çusco to Chivay. Without them, my trip would not have been able to have been executed the way I would have wanted. They were an invaluable resource - friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. As well, the facilities are new, clean, and close to everything.
Review 46:- very helpful and friendly staff - great terrace with lovely view - fast WiFi - the rooms have a very small balcony which is a nice touch - good breakfast
Review 47:nothing

Review 50:great boutique hotel . has balcony facing the ruins. restaurant on top with great views to the valley .there's a small stream of water on the side of the hotel that's very relaxing when time to sleep . didn't had time for breakfast they made us a lunch Box awesome!!
Review 51:A Little bit far to the station for those who just stopover on the way to Machu Pichu ( moto-taxi 5 Soles p.p.). But Ollantaytambo is worth staying, walking, relaxing.Ideal place for that.
Review 52:Quiet, nice location with rooftop terrace and great view over the city. Situated next to the entrace to the smaller Inka site of Ollantaytambo (free), very friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast on rooftop. Great shower and towels. Just opened this year (2015).
Review 53:Amazingly friendly staff let us check in early, gave us clear information and help at check-in, including booking us a taxi for our departure two days later, and offered to make us up a packed breakfast when we told them we'd be leaving for the train to Machu Picchu at 5am. The entire place was very clean, tidy and modern with a nice feel. Good sized rooms with comfy beds and lovely hot showers. There is also a nice little roof terrace with dining room where the fresh breakfast was served. The location was great, being a few minutes from the main square. The street that Kamma is based on itself is a pedestrianised, cobbled street, so slightly difficult if you have lots of bags like we did. However, upon checkout the staff arrange for a man with a trolley bike to transport our bags to our taxi on the square. Brilliant place to stay - can't reccommend it enough!
Review 54:Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms , new and clean. We loved the breakfast and the dining room on top with a magnificent view!
Review 55:The kind-hearted, generous and knowledgeable staff, the location, the comfort!
Review 56:The attention, location and the breakfast were excellent. The views from the terrace where breakfast is served are stunning.
