Reviews for Hotel Cecilia
Review 1:spent 30 minutes to wait at check in. Location close to dangerous zones (saw a shootout at the ancient train station while driving to the hotel) old hotel. still pretty expensive regarding the standing. swimming pool was smaller than I thought, water not really clear but was ok. Sauna was closed.
Review 2:cleanliness ok. some of the staff were very welcoming a swimming pool and a gym
Review 3:although far better than what I saw in other hotels in Asuncion, the fitness center isn't overwhelming.
Review 4:Hotel Cecilia is full of nice details, from the interior of the restaurant to the great terrace. the staff works friendly and efficient, I had a great time there.
Review 5:Breakfast is a little poor with few options. Internet conection does not work properly in some parts of room.
Review 6:Staff is much helpful. Rooms are ok, even though they could be better furnished.
Review 7:They charged me for 3 nights (upon check-in) although I only stayed for 1.5. A few of the staff were bit rude, always asking me my room number, even though I had answered them just the day before. Our rooms window faced a brick wall and we got no direct sunlight.
Review 8:The room was huge and the breakfast was really good (EGGS AND BACON and freshly squeezed juice). Also cable tv.
Review 9:Not much parking since its down town. Rooms were in need of renovation. Balcony had no access to other than window.
Review 10:Everything. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Good location. Restaurants were nice and a couple there. Breakfast was good for being free. Rooms were large. Pool was very nice and gym was huge and lots of updates equipment.
Review 11:The older front desk manager gave us the smallest room in the hotel, with no view, right near the kitchen and restaurant. We had it changed when he went off duty.
Review 12:We liked the service re received from the young front desk mansger
Review 13:The hotel is located on one of the busiest streets of Asuncion, so the rooms in front are noisy. Also, wifi sadly does not reach the wonderful terrace on the roof.....
Review 14:Nice, comfortable hotel with a rooftop swimming pool that provides gorgeous views over the river and Chaco.
Review 15:the bed was not clean. the noise outside was deadly. other than the heavy traffic, there was a constant noise of a whistle(traffic warden?)from around 6 in the morning. the female staff at reception was unpleasant.
Review 16:the lobby was colorful and welcoming. the wifi worked. quite close to the city centre.
Review 17:I love the location of this hotel is right close to all the big stores and the breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly and very helpful when you neede something.
Review 18:Loud noise in every room. If you face the street, you get loud street traffic. If you face the other side, you treated to disco music from Queen Disco until 8 am when it closes. Air conditioning also barely works in 4 of the 5 rooms I was transferred to in 2 nights while there.
Review 19:Decent breakfast
Review 20:The rooms are outdated. Amenities are low quality.
Review 21:The location was very convenient. There is a brasserie that belongs to the hotel, lunch was good and hearty, fair price.
Review 22:Uncomfortable parking
Review 23:RELAXING AND QUIET HOTEL GREAT BREAKFAST BUFFET BIG ROOMS BEAUTIFUL POOL AND VIEW OF THE "COSTANERA DE ASUNCIÓN" FROM THE TOP OF THE BUILDING
Review 24:The carpet on the floor is too old its smells like old. The room is not that clean.
Review 25:Location, the staff is really friendly and helpfull.
Review 26:The rooms had a bit of a humid smell, but it doesn't last.
Review 27:The rooms are big and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast and really nice staff.
Review 28:Bed and carpet need replacement,
Review 29:Good location and value.
Review 30:location in downtown, helpful pleasant employees
Review 31:Service is so so
Review 32:No some space have special feeling.
Review 33:The view from the pool is great. The superior room was huge, the bed was huge and very comfortable.
Review 34:Room 215 Room ok but no window opening Very claustrophobic, Would have asked for change of room if stayed for longer
Review 35:All of it
Review 36:great staff, delicious breakfast, the existence of a pool, sights are just a short walk away.
Review 37:Nothing
Review 38:Very clean, blackfast is really good
Review 39:The room smelled like rotten, humid and the lights were very poor. The corridors were very dated and so was the lift. The location was terrible. Far from everything and everywhere! Swimming pool access were closed. Very bad taste and very old bed covers and sheets. Definitely not worth the price we paid.
Review 40:The spacious room, staff friendly.
Review 41:we had a room on the street side and its unbelievable loud!!! the hotel is on a very busy street. because of the loud noises its not possible to sleep longer then 6/7 a.m. or to open the window (anytime).
Review 42:The room is very very nice, clean and big.
Review 43:Being charged premium money for local calls without being told. Being charged an extra $20 or having a visitor..not even overnight, just for an hour. Pool looked kind of nasty
Review 44:friendly staff, good food at breakfast buffet. Room was comfortable and clean.
Review 45:The location was superb, easy to move around town. Breakfast was abundant, it would be perfect if there was a toaster, or a sandwich press. The room was spaceful and cozy, and I love the fact that there are balconies on every room. The view is great. Try to get a room on a higher floor, the higher, the better. There are many great restaurants close by, and cool bars to drink beer around too.
Review 46:They quote in dollars and charge in local currency at an inflatedexchange rate. It adds a couple of dollars to the bill. To me, this isbasically dishonest. If they quote in dollars I should be able to payin dollars.
Review 47:Nice hotel.
Review 48:Is not a 4 star hotel, rooms are small and bed were for 6 yr old kids! They charged everything even the sauna, is an spensive hotel for asuncion it doesn't worth it, there are many other options far better for less money in this city such as excelsior inn wich I stayed too. I wouldn't go back to Cecilia. No es un hotel 4 estrellas, las habitaciones son pequeñas y las camas individuales parecen para chicos de 6 años, te cobran todo inclusive el uso del sauna, no vale la pena por ese dinero hay mucho mejores opciones en Asunción.
Review 49:The machines in the gym were a bit old and some were broken
Review 50:The staff was kind and very efficient, wi-fi works perfectly, location is most convenient
Review 51:O hotel é muito bom. Recomendado!
Review 52:VERY GOOD WIFI ACCESS. EXCELLENT STAFFS
Review 53:Great customer service; hard to find in Paraguay. The view from the pool is amazing!
Review 54:no hair dryer, poor choice of TV channels
Review 55:extremely friendly and efficient staff
