Bed and Breakfast KateKero sells fast on our site. Offering sea views from all the rooms, KateKero is located in the seaside city of Peniche. Peniche Fortress is a 4-minute walk away and the boats to Ilha da Berlenga are 2 minutes’ walking.
KateKero large air-conditioned rooms are bright and simple. They all include a private bathroom with shower and free Wi-Fi, and some have a private balcony.
Within a 2-minute walk a variety of shops, restaurants and museums can be found. Guests can rent a car to explore further the city or take the boat to Berlenga.

Review 1：It would be nice if there was a toaster in the breakfast.

Review 2：Even if our flight was arriving very late to Lisbon they wait for us to do the check-in. The room was very clean.

Review 3：Coffee shops around open late. Taxis are only available by 8am and have to be called over.

Review 14：Small hotel in the center of Peniche. Near the hotel there are many restaurants and bars. Hotel room was clean, functional, with nice port / sea view.` Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is included in the price. Breakfast was simple, but tasty.

Review 17：At arrival, due to a water system problem, our room was unavailable. The lady guided us to a nice hotel next door with a very nice room for the same price. Top!

Review 18：The towels and bathmat weren'the changed all week despite being visibly dirty. Although the breakfast was free, it was very poor, the coffee was awfully, the bread rolls were hard and very little other choice. I would have preferred to pay €5 each for a decent breakfast than having to stop somewhere else for breakfast.

Review 20：Staff lack english knowledge. Parking was not private but 0.5 km from a hotel in a public parking place(not whole place was free). For breakfast they had just cold buffet.

Review 21：Room was quiet and clean, on the first floor. There is an elevator so it os good for people with moving problems. Good wifi connection. A lot of toiletries (shampoos & body gel).

Review 24：Poor breakfast, no real reception, bathroom could have been cleaner and despite booking months in advance, they couldn't put us (my wife and I plus our 16yr old daughter and 13 yr old son) in rooms close together or even on the same floor. Very limited parking outside hotel (couple of bays which are public) although there is a car park a few hundred metres away by the harbour

Review 26：We were late because of a delayed plane arrival. We called ahead to let the hotel know--and the receptionist ended up staying well past her assigned duty time to welcome us. This was certainly not necessary on her part--but her friendliness was very much appreciated.

Review 31：Only minor issue was parking, nearest parking was about 150 metres away on a free public car park opposite the fire station ( bombeiros). So not secure although well lit and visible from the Hotel...it felt as safe as any in the UK, probably much safer..

Review 32：Location was great overlooking the harbour. Near bars and restaurants in old part of Peniche. Staff were fantastic, helpful and very friendly. Room had loads of space good bed and a great bathroom, with excellent shower. Breakfast although continental had loads of fresh fruit, choice of meats,cheeses, cereal yoghurts, and the coffee was superb.

Review 33：Disgustingly noisy in general, claustrofobic bath cabin, bad light, no nets for mosquitos. The pictures may show you the sea - nope, there's no sea there, just a channel, not like in Venice though... The place is like a pansion or smth., there;s no personnal at nights, some drunk guests harassed all of us there...

Review 36：Convenient location with many nearby restaurants, and the bus stop,ferry and museum were just minutes away. The wonderful water view is a delight. A comfortable, light-filled and modern room. Simple, but ample, buffet breakfast is in a sunny dining area. Our "special rate" was an outstanding bargain.

Review 37：Cold tiles on the room floor without rugs/carpets. breakfast is quite simple - no hot meals unfortunately. No option of lunch and/or dinner either.

Review 39：We were glad to find a room for 4 people (we were a group of friends on a road trip) in a pleasant location (marina view, close to small restaurants, free parking) and for a very reasonable price. It's also possible to walk to supermarkets and the historical part of town. The receptionist took my passport at check-in to fill in some forms but forgot to give it back and I forgot to double-check. However, after we left the hotel, they sent us an e-mail saying I'd left my passport at the reception--we had to drive back for an hour to pick it up, but if they hadn't sent me an e-mail, I wouldn't have noticed until the airport.

Review 43：Well as soon as you walk through the door your greeted with a lovely welcome.. The view which I didn't really see till the morning from my room was stunning, although I had a fair idea what it was going to be like seeing the twinkling lights in the harbour. The 2 ladies I met who worked there Catia...and my apologies but I forgot the other young lady's name were fab. The breakfast over looking the harbour....Stunning again.... I know everybody's opinion is different, but you really have to stay here. I was that impressed I've booked the same hotel again.

Review 44：Owners were unable to provide us with a bottle opener. We paid for the romantic night, & candles were provided but nothing to light them with (assumes we are smokers). On check out we rang the bell, waited, staff came through but still no check out so we assumed payment will be made through booking.com but are still waiting to pay!

Public parking available for us in front of the hotel, might be rare in high season. Reliable WiFi.The only drawback is the Ocean-view: Technically true, but har hour view would be more true.Would stay there again!

Review 49：Position - overlooking the harbour with all the boats, the castle round the corner and several quite decent restaurants within a few metres. Friendly staff, pleasant breakfast in a bright environment with huge windows. Very large room with decent internet connection. For the price you can't go wrong!

Review 50：Good price for what it is . Of course not the Rirtz , but it is expected for it price range . Very close of restaurants and there is some things to do in the walking distance but I really recommend to have a car. The parking is about 7 min walking from the hotel , not the issue but keep in mind . The restaurant ketekero is quite good , plenty of fresh fish and reasonable price. Me and my wife had the " stew " for 2 people but It fits for 4 people at least. For 2 people order for 1.

Review 54：Oh we so loved our stay. Loved the friendly staff, our cool room, wonderful breakfast, fab location, amazing price we paid. I chose this hotel for the free wifi as I needed to stay intouch with my children back home. It often needed re booting,in the end we took to doing it ourselves out in reception. No bother. I'm going back next year. Wonderful.

Review 56：Room was comfortable and spacious. Even had a little balcony! Good view over the harbour was always interesting. Quiet and close to restaurants and close to the centre of town. Breakfast adequate but limited choices. Staff very helpful and patient considering her work load.

Review 63：There was a free car park but not very close to the hotel. The room was not very modern, the pillows were kept in the wardrobe instead of on the bed and they were very small. The bed wasn't very comfortable. It was ok for one night, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Review 65：Noisy street. You see the port, but not the see. To be open: the uglier of the port. Weak internet connection. Nothing gives you the feeling you are in Portugal.

Review 71：The apartment was rather tired but clean and had well equipped kitchenette and even washing machine. Nice view over the port but rather noisy with open window. We liked the breakfast (ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit). Apartament dość zużyty, ale czysto i dobrze wyposażony aneks kuchenny (była pralka). Ładny widok na port, ale głośno przy otwartym oknie. Podobało nam się śniadanie – nic na ciepło, ale ser, szynka, jogurt, owoce.
