Reviews for Las Portadas
Review 1:Wifi doesn't work... like most of the places there...
Review 2:People very kindness, helpfull and lovely. Lend me a dvd player to watch movies in my room and always aks about how was the room and trip.
Review 3:we had difficulties in meeting the staff. We needed information and towels but there was no one in the reception.
Review 4:Beautiful garden and sweet birds singing songs in the morning..! Super hot shower that you can use once a day (it is in the ground floor and all guest can use it)(that's what I understood at least!).
Review 5:Shower did not work properly. cold shower with a hot water electrical adapter on the end of the shower that I had not seen before with wires hanging out that did not heat the water up properly. A bit scary
Review 6:Nice and clean
Review 7:The shared was not so clean. Of course, it was more because of the way other clients had been using.
Review 8:The place is lovely, with a nice garden Nice staff, and quite generous: they offered us a room with private bathroom although we had booked a shared bathroom!
Review 9:Breakfast can be a bit monotonous if you are there for a few days, but the fresh pineapple juice is delicious.
Review 10:Quiet location a short walk from the main square. Basic room but good value for money compared to other places we stayed.
Review 11:The place is surrounded by mountains which makes for incredible views but unfortunately takes away The wifi.
Review 12:Located in front of a trail to free ruins, near but far enough away from The plaza to avoid traffic noise, beautiful garden and rooftop view, amazing, caring and helpful staff gave us free tea when we had a sniffle, they always had time for everyone, lead us to some trails without needing to ask and upgraded our room for free!
Review 13:No possibilty of buying cold drinks for the kids, curtains where misplaced and give no privacy at all. Could be fixed easily. Everyone can see you taking shower when passing by. Floor was old with nails coming out. Cold showers when we arrived the first day. After we asked it was fixed. Breakfast not included in the price (15 soles extra) , but there are plenty of at the market place. There is some room for improvement.
Review 14:Nice beautifull garden, the setting somewhat out of the busy centre. Ollanta is a nice town and as a stepping stone to Machu Picchu better then Aguas Calientes. Friendly helpfull owners, but speak only spanish.
Review 15:One of our beds was a bit lumpy, but not too bad.
Review 16:The bed was warm and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and the lady who checked us in told us we were welcome to use the shared shower as it was better than the one in our room (it was indeed wonderful). The entire hostel is picturesque.
Review 17:No wifi but I didn't mind it. You cannot return to hostel after 11pm but it's not that bad as there is not nightlife there. They don't accept visa.
Review 18:Hot water, Location is ok. It has a rustic finish. Good for the price.
Review 19:Spiders in bedroom, smell in bathroom, owner forgot about my reservation
Review 20:friendly owners, amazing garden (with flowers and birds), the cheapest price in town, more or less neat, quiet, small but cozy
Review 21:Nice atmosfere , friendly personnel, hot water, parking place, perfect localization close to the ruin, train station, Main square and market place.
Review 22:Neighbors were loud and they were weird smell coming from what they were cooking.
Review 23:The host, Noemi, was fantastic! Although she didnt speak English, she was more than willing to help us in any way. The garden was really beautiful with lots of flowers, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The views from our room and from the roof top were just the best. We particularly enjoyed stargazing at night.
Review 24:The bed could have been better and the walls were a bit thin. But seeing the price and the fact that this is not a party-hostel, these were no real problems for us.
Review 25:The hostess was very friendly, providing excellent service. Also, the courtyard is beautiful: quiet, full of flowers and birds.
