Reviews for Hotel Zobor

Review 1:The hotel is in a rather ugly communist-era concrete building. Much of it has been recently refurbished, but some features have not been, including the wonky lift, ancient electrical fittings, and badly-fitting room doors that admit light and noise through gaps in the door frame.

Review 2:Nitra is a historical city with much of interest - it is a former regional capital and ecclesiastical centre - kinda the Slovakian equivalent of Durham. The city centre includes a large pedestrianized area. The front of this hotel is pedestrianized (so you cannot drive to the stated street address) but the car park at the rear is accessible via a service road (see the Google Earth city street map for how to do this). This makes this hotel a good bet if you are travelling by car. The excellent breakfast is free; on check in a voucher is provided that can be used in the basement cafeteria. Handy for city centre amenities, including restaurants, theatre and the castle / cathedral. The free wifi was excellent.

Review 3:The absence of a camera system. Bad signal wi-fi on the 4th floor. No air conditioning in the tropical heat, it is suffering. Enjoy the warmth on the 4th floor!

Review 4:Good spot in the old location. Shops on your doorstep. Breakfast included.

Review 5:Noise all around, from all kind of activities that might be happening on the street - I could hear everything, at anytime. No shutters (hard to sleep after sunrise). Not clean.

Review 6:Breakfast. In the city centre. Nice people.

Review 7:Tatty decor, outdated and run down, but what do you expect for this price? Cafe staff are generally miserable.

Review 8:Very cheap, no nonsense hotel in the centre of the city. Good breakfast (ham & eggs), Wi-Fi free, slept well. Lift works (just about)

Review 9:Good location, good parking
