Reviews for Swansea Beach Chalets

Review 1:All good.

Review 2:Beautiful views - worth paying extra for the sea view chalet. Clean, comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Will return. Next time we will head to Swansea on the way to Launceston on route to Cradle Mountain.

Review 3:Hardly to look for restaurant at late night.

Review 4:Perfect room facilities particularly, heater in shower room. Nice landscape around the property. Suitable for family member's vacation.

Review 5:Airconditioner in the living room is not strong enough to cool down all bedrooms. But only an issue on hot days. No nets on most windows so we couldn't open windows in the evening. No dishwasher.

Review 6:Location on the beach, close to town center and places to eat, shalets have all necessary amenities, very new, modern and clean, comfortable beds, nice decor.Swimmjng pool is good size and in sheltered position, games room with table tennjns and pool table

Review 7:The kids facilities are poor, except for the swimming-pool but forget about the playground. I would have liked a fence around the terrace as it was said to be family friendly but I couldn't leave my one year-old there nor anywhere when the glass door was open...

Review 8:The chalets are nice and clean. But if you can, stay in the waterfront ones as they get amazing views! We stayed in a standard 2room chalet which was nice though and we'll thought as the rooms are separated by the living-room so you have got a lot of privacy! It is quiet and has direct access to the beach, which can lead you to the shops in the center. The BBQ area was very nice with a lot of shade!

Review 9:Light in toilet wasn't working, the windows in one of the rooms couldn't be opened. We stayed 2 nights but the room wasn't cleaned on the second day

Review 10:There was a stove, in addition to the usual facilities like the refrigerator, toaster, boiler. Comfortable accommodation with car parked just outside your cabin. Sea just a stone's throw away

Review 11:friendly staff and wonderful house, flexible kitchen, amazing sea view and comfortable furniture that I will say you are the best choice of Tasmania to my friend.

Review 12:Not really a bad experience about these amenities but make sure you plan for dinner before 8pm and selection is limited.

Review 13:We had a cabin facing the ocean/water. The views spectacular especially sunrise and sunsets.

Review 14:Pool and games room closed by 6pm Room didn't have Sea view .. From pictures thought all might have some. We were at the very back - sea view rooms would be worth the money.

Review 15:A great place to relax and unwind after exploring the east coast of Tassie. Its central location on the east coast makes it very easy to pay a visit to all the well known attractions on the coast. Highly recommend. Very Friendly Staff.

Review 16:The mattress is too soft, the water heater in the toilet is so noisy . Only a few chalets face the sea, the others have no view at all.

Review 17:The staff is friendly.

Review 18:TV could be tuned in to only one channel. All power points switched off, requiring moving bits of furniture to activate. Electric blanket inoperable because switch not accessible.

Review 19:Wifi coverage wasn't great, but of you want to get away from emails/Internet for awhile, this might just be the place for you.

Review 20:Great location overlooking the bay. Cabin-style accommodation with modern furnishings.

Review 21:Limited beach view and a strange sewerage smell would blow in if we had the window in the bathroom open.

Review 22:Nice location, near the beach. Clean and tidy chalets.

Review 23:Friendly relaxed and helpful staff Wonderful clean and spacious chalet Great location overlooking the beach Walking distance to quaint shops, buildings and cafes

Review 24:very nice place to stay longer, we had time only for one night, but we enjoyed our stay, separate chalets gave privacy, the ocean is almost behind the door, staff was friendly,

Review 25:Nothing really to complain about. It could be better if the price could be lowered for 10%?

Review 26:Our seaview cottage is at the corner of the hotel so very quiet and comfortable for a short stay. The kitchen was also very cleann with everything we needed for preparing a good dinner for a group of 4 people.

Review 27:Modern and comfortable accommodation, warmly welcomed at reception, great views from the chalets. Beautiful beach and views, lovely town with lots of choices for dining. Highly recommended

Review 28:It was hard to receive internet at times, but the Wifi was free, so not too much of a bother.

Review 29:Peaceful and quiet, and the view was amazing! The electric hotplate was a lovely surprise and the cabin was clean and warm. Beds comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome.

Review 30:Cabin was great clean comfortable had everything you need . The location has a stunning sea view . Only regret we didn't book the cabin with the sea view worth paying the extra.

Review 31:Children's bedroom. One of the beds had no electric blanket. The other one did not work. We put children in bed with us. Kitchen was rather grubby. And several utensils were broken.

Review 32:Pretty scenery. Bathroom was good.

Review 33:We loved the way the cabins were right on the beach, with a balcony that enabled us to have a wonderful panoramic view. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and allowed us total privacy. Fantastic place - hope we can come back another time.

Review 34:If you're arriving into Swansea in the evening want to eat out everything in Swansea is closed by 7pm or 8pm.

Review 35:Lovely beach, cabins are well designed to feel private. Friendly staff. Local fish & chip shop have tasty seafood chowder. The bakery have a large selection of food for breakfast.

Review 36:none

Review 37:the studio was wonderful. The heating was great. The staff were very friendly. They put the heaters on in the studio before we arrived to make sure it was warm when we arrived.

Review 38:The layout of the chalets were perfect, taking full advantage of the fantastic view of Coles Bay. Even in the middle of winter, the room was toasty warm and only a short walk to the local tavern if you didnt feel like eating in.

Review 39:Beautiful seaside location, great pub down the road. Cabin was very cosy & warm despite the icy Winter temp & strong winds outside! Well fitted out & would love to go back in Summer to enjoy the pool.

Review 40:I would prefer a harder bed.

Review 41:Excellent location! Just beside the beautiful beach, near togrocery store and bakery etc. Near to wineglass bay. Verycomfortable small suit.

Review 42:None

Review 43:Renovated beachfront chalet. Direct access to beach. The chalet was very comfy and warm coz the heater was turned on. Beddings were adequate. Will definitely return in summer.

Review 44:Although we didnt have the beachfront Chalet we could stoll hear the waves through the night... Beautiful! Staff/owners were so lovely recommending places to eat with big friendly smiles, he even changed our tyre when we discovered it was flat in the morning. Not a problem. Get out of bed to see the sunrise.... Totally worth it!

Review 45:The beach chalet was just perfect. We had a beautiful view over Swansea Bay, and relaxed in a lovely, clean, warm chalet. We could not rate our stay any higher, and will definitely be going back!

Review 46:Only a small complaint. Thought the pillows a tad too hard.

Review 47:Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment & although it needs a bit of an upgrade was very clean & well appointed. The balcony overlooked the beach & the sunset was awesome. Loved the sound of the waves gently lapping on the sands.

Review 48:Lisa made our stay an amazing one. From the tips to the help planning the next stages. The location was great. The cabins contained everything. It was welcome news to hear that the bathroom and kitchen will be refurbished. They showed a bit of wear. We'll be back.

Review 49:The cabin facilities were very good as well as it's location with views to the water. The beach was right In front and we had a nice afternoon walk.

Review 50:Location - at the nice beach, walking to the Mill Taverne and Swansea restaurants, convenient point for reaching Maria Island and Freycinet NP. Self contained cottage. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly staff.

Review 51:Lack of info in room regarding town, apart from available restaurants. Smears on floor in living room & residue 'crumbs' under cushions on lounge. Electric blanket working on one side of bed only

Review 52:Superb location - beautiful views & beach access. Clean comfortable bed

Review 53:Staff were very helpful, our chalet was clean, modern and very comfortable. Nice and close to the beach. We had to drive to town as we had elderly parents with us but you could easily walk it. Would definitely come back.

Review 54:We absolutely loved our stay in this comfortable, well equipped upmarket chalet. We had a view of the sea from our second row cabin and were impressed by all of the fixtures and fittings.

Review 55:The bunk beds for an adult are bordering on unusable.. They knew we were 2 adults traveling and wanted 2 bedrooms in a disability friendly chalet. An adult cannot sit in the bunk, the space provided for clothes was used to store the fan and broom etc. The bathroom had no shelf next to the basin. The mop stored in the bathroom was smelly. overprices and under serviced

Review 56:The view and the beach

Review 57:No wi-fi or cable tv for over $200 per night. This is 2015 and many customers are from overseas and want to keep in touch with their families and what's going on in the world. Most of the cabins were way back on the property so no beach or sea views for them.

Review 58:The location of this property is simply gorgeous. It's quiet and peaceful. It overlooks a beach and out to sea. Loved the sound of the waves shushing on the beach at night. Place was clean and well kept.

Review 59:These "chalets" are in dire need of an update. Cheap quality materials has lead to rust, wear and tear especially in the kitchen, and mould and condensation. For $240 a night you would not expect cobwebs on the windows, a hair on the toilet and a spa you would not want to sit in due to wear and rust.

Review 60:The view is what you are paying for. If you did not have a waterfront chalet you would be very disappointed as this was the only good thing about the property.

Review 61:Nothing......

Review 62:Layout & size of the cottage, local wildlife, staff very friendly, helpful & knowledgable about things to see and do. Mountain & Ocean views with amazing sunrises over Freycinet.

Review 63:Whilst the accomodation was clean and comfortable at $180 a night (we only stayed one) was a little excessive. We stayed in a apartment in Sandy Bay for 4 nights $150 a night which was much better value.

Review 64:The beach is a little dirty but still a very good place for a walk after dinner. 海滩有点脏,但还是很好的晚餐后的散步地点。

Review 65:Near the beach, great place to see the sun rise, very quiet. The reception lady was really thoughtful and wish us a happy new year on the first day of Chinese Spring Festival, give us a great surprise, very nice. And there are a few hares nearby. 比邻沙滩,海边别墅有很好的事业看日出,虽在海边但晚间却非常安静,前台的女士很有心计,退房时特地给我们一个大惊喜,祝我们年初一新年快乐,很赞呀!另外,酒店院子里有野兔哦!

Review 66:Not to be able to easily get the internet. i had to be standing near the office.

Review 67:I really loves the location and the view of the water. I loved sitting on the verandah and the accommodation was very comfortable and suited the environment.

Review 68:I imagined myself sitting on the deck of the cabin enjoying sea views. Our cabin had a view of a fence on one side and about four other cabins on the other side. The sea views as described in description are simply not true unless you are lucky enough to get one of the six cabins the do face the sea. Otherwise you may as well be staying in any other camping/cabin park.

Review 69:The cabin was clean and comfortable.

Review 70:Location with a view across the bay was stunning Great to just sit and enjoy watching boats and kids and families enjoying themselves Staff were very friendly and helpful. Could not fault it Would go back any time GREAT Fab bakery and pub down the road

Review 71:The wifi range wasn't good.

Review 72:We loved the comfortable cabin! It's really home away from home. Scenery from the beach was fantastic. Wish we had more time there.

Review 73:Not enough time to enjoy & explore.

Review 74:Easy to find. Lovely beach. Comfortable cosy cabin. We are from Nth Qld so felt the cold. Next rime our trip will be longer. Best fish & chips.

Review 75:A significant charge for wifi

Review 76:We rented a beachfront cottage and had a fabulous view from our balcony over the bay. The sunrises! The whole complex is just on the edge of Swansea but a short walk along the beach (recommended) to town. I liked the allocated parking spot outside the cabin and the well kept grounds.

Review 77:We may have been naive in expecting from the advertising a sea view. The view was of the unit in front. Not apparent from web site. Long dark hairs on our towels and a smelly not very clean fridge.

Review 78:Not a lot, very disappointed. Swansea was a nice little town with friendly locals though. Unit expensive in comparison to better accommodation in Swansea.

Review 79:It will be a dream place to stay one night, especially you can afford extra 20 dollars to pick a chalet facing the sea. Beyond that, you can also get a 1 hour free Wifi.

Review 80:Swansea beach chalets are in an excellent position close to the beach and a short walk to the shops, We had a two bedroom chalet and it was roomy and well equipped, they are good value for money

Review 81:The views from the waterfront cabins are absolutely worth the few extra dollars. It was so relaxing, cute little town and stunning water views to keep you occupied for hours out in the deck. I will be back!

Review 82:Cold in bedroom -no heater.less than luxury as advertised -too basic for that. A bit pricey for what it offered.

Review 83:The view-Wonderful. The Staff were friendly and helpful. Spa bath nice after a long walk. Clean enough if a little worn. Bakery and town amenities in walking distance.

Review 84:Wi-fi was expensive.

Review 85:Waterfront cabin was worth the extra money. Clean, comfortable, well equipped. Bedside lights in main bedroom were string enough to read by - always a bonus!

Review 86:A fabulous outlook to the sea, there really is no need to go anywhere! Just relax with a book and wine until your event starts...I loved the low impact to the environment, without compromise to comfort.

Review 87:The chalet with no view are pretty average. the playroom is a bit dirty.

Review 88:Very helpful staffs. Got upgrade by the sea view chalet for free. The playground is nice and the playroom too.

Review 89:In our chalet, toilet seat would not stay up, bit difficult for the hubby. In other chalet, some poor little wildlife creature has decided to die under the deck. Bit wiffy.

Review 90:Beautiful location. Chalet were very comfortable and spacious.

Review 91:The wifi was a bit restrictive/costly and not what I have found elsewhere.

Review 92:The cabins were good, clean and the bed I had was beaut. The reception was friendly and the bbq and laundry were satisfactory.

Review 93:Paid WiFi

Review 94:Great location, a few steps away from the beachfront. Great views from the unit itself also. Self-contained units so no noise to worry about, staff were extremely helpful in recommending local places to visit. Heater were a great addition (much to our surprise!). Clean and tidy, had everything we needed. Very comfortable stay.

Review 95:Nothing!

Review 96:We booked in and paid for 2 days, intending to do a Wine glass bay cruise. Unfortunately the cruise was cancelled. The hostess Lisa was very gracious and refunded a days accommodation so we could continue with our holiday a day earlier.

Review 97:The only little thing is the spa bath is quite small.

Review 98:Everything! The view, the gorgeous villa, the deck, the greatinformation provided at check in, the location. I wish I could'vestayed longer!

Review 99:There was nothing not to like at this location

Review 100:The whole experience was wonderful. The staff very helpful and informative about the area. Would definitely stay again if we return to Tasmania and Swansea

Review 101:The Swansea Beach Chalets are well worth a visit. Clean, comfortable and reasonable - walking distance to the township cafes and restaurants and a stone's throw to the beach. Friendly and very welcoming staff. What's not to like?

Review 102:There were two boilers but no pan. And it wouldn't take much trouble to leave some instructions on the kitchen equipment but it would certainly be welcome by the guests.

Review 103:Clean and comfortable. Easy to find. When we arrived at the parking lot we were already amazed by the spetular sea view. Good for a walk at sunset and morning.

Review 104:Very well appointed cabins/chalets, only stayed one night but would've been good in Summer with the beach so close for a longer stay. top service and friendliness from the new couple who'd just taken over the management.

Review 105:Kitchen and close to beach

Review 106:Fantastic location, great staff and lovely chalets. Could not fault it.

Review 107:Views were spectacular!

Review 108:nothing

Review 109:Spectaculair view over THE sea

Review 110:Nothing really

Review 111:Wonderful to hear the sound of the sea when you wake up in the morning. The cabin was well appointed and adequate for our stay.

Review 112:great location. value for money. great view of the sea. in room facilities are awesome.

Review 113:The cabin had everything i needed

Review 114:Outstanding views from our beach front unit.

Review 115:Great Location looking over the Bay, and a view of the Hazards. Comfortable newer cabins. Definitely stay there again.

Review 116:It was hot and the fan was noisy; also the blinds in the bedroom did not block out the light.

Review 117:Location and fans!
