Reviews for Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center - Moline

Review 1:This was an excellent place to stay. It was only a weekend vacation but made it seem as if it were longer since it was so relaxing. The atmosphere was as if we were in a different part of the country instead of only 200 miles from home!

Review 2:They add an incidental's fee of $30 which would have not been a bigdeal had they notified us in advance. We discovered it on our bankstatement and subsequently emailed them, they explain and it took abouta week to have the money refunded. When I sign a receipt, I expectthat's the amount that I'm being billed for! I should have beenmade aware of this extra temporary fee.

Review 3:The location was great; within a short walking distance of the river andsome good restaurants.

Review 4:Room was okay, not much decor. Also no fridge or microwave. For the money, would like a little more.

Review 5:We did think the bed was very comfortable. Also liked the pillows.

Review 6:For 3 of the 4 nights we stayed the continental breakfast was gravy and biscuits. Gross. Always crowded.

Review 7:Beautiful setting in a nice town. Close by to many attractions.

Review 8:Our air conditioner leaked water on the carpet. Room 446. Bathroom counter is a little small for 3 women to share.

Review 9:Everything! We were pleasantly surprised. Nice breakfasts, pools, workout room, and rooms.

Review 10:It is alittle off the beaten path. GPS was confused. Street names have two names & are not well marked, making it harder to find.

Review 11:The decor makes it stand out from other motels.

Review 12:Phone did not work in our room, night shift front desk man was mean, no nearby restaurants.

Review 13:Clean, nice bathrooms, pool area was clean and water temperature was comfortable.

Review 14:We loved everything! The children enjoyed the pool so much! The decor was so interesting. The kids loved finding all the cute signs in rooms and even the little soap dish that was shaped like a fish! They still talk about it and brag to all their friends!

Review 15:It needs some updating of the cosmetics-new wallpaper in spots, doors of the elevator have been marred. The eggs come out of frozen food bag and are reheated

Review 16:Bathroom sink drain did not work. Told them at 7:00 pm and was told could not get fixed till 9:00 am. Only 2 of 6 jets on whirlpool worked properly. Not worth the upgrade

Review 17:Upgraded to king w whirlpool, room was beautiful and spacious.

Review 18:Did not like that in the outside pool area has bees nests all over we could not enjoy ourselves at the pool. We told the front desk as other people outside were also concerned about it however nothing was done.

Review 19:I liked everything about this place. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms are awesome and the front desk employees know the area and are great with referrals for places to eat and things to do. We will be back.

Review 20:Young kids left unattended. They were noisy and left trash lay wherever it fell instead of putting it in the trash cans that were conveniently placed.

Review 21:The first impression was this is a nice place and it just kept getting better.

Review 22:The staff was friendly. The room was a little dated by nice. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good enough :) Would stay again for sure!

Review 23:No bike racks! No bike rental. Bathroom smelled. We evacuated our room and it still never got cleaned until after 4:00. We had a do not disturb sign but no "please make up room". Perhaps that was the problem, but after 4:00 is really late. And no shampoo on second day. A little too labor intensive for a hotel, I shouldn't have to track down the housekeeper. They were all lovely friendly people, but there may have been an organization problem.

Review 24:Location for bike routes. Theme, common areas. Beds. In spite of shortfalls, I would definitely return because of the proximity to the bike routes and the river.

Review 25:A bit noisy with the air kicking on and off, but managed to sleep pretty well.

Review 26:Our boys loved the pool because you could swim from inside to outside. Loved the trail you can walk, run or bike on! Breakfast was very good also. Great coffee.

Review 27:The decor was charming with it's Northwoods lodge feel. I loved the stuffed animal that was waiting on the bed for purchase (portion of proceeds go to children's charity) and it was close to resturants and the John Deere Pavillion (easy walking distance). You didn't feel like you were in the middle of an urban center.

Review 28:Did not like AC that would barely keep room cool. Hard to sleep in sauna. Situated in poorly lit hard to find spot. No river view, right next to sewage treatment plant. Not what I expected.

Review 29:Liked the decor

Review 30:Walked in to a room with a super cute stuff animal on the bed which was for sale. Thankfully we didn't have any kids with us to see it or we would have had to listen to the whining and begging for it. Breakfast at 7am on a Bix race weekend is just not acceptable but we were close enough to find a better food option. Rooms were clean but dark. We couldn't figure out how to use e of the lights in our room. And the lights that did work were not bright. Overall decent place. Just not for us.

Review 31:Beds were comfy. Room was clean.

Review 32:We had the cheapest room but I still would like to have had a microwave and small refrigerator.

Review 33:I liked the location and atmosphere of the motel. You could walk to many locations or just sit by the river or fountain. The cabin theme was just adorable.

Review 34:The woodsy decor in the hotel is nice. However, it doesn't bode well for the rooms you stay in. The colors are way too dark and dingy. The rooms need to be more cheery with a lighter color scheme. Maybe go with the white birch theme, lighter carpet brighter wallpaper or paint on the walls etc..Also, the staff behind the desk aren't very welcoming. I feel that they need to be more open to new guests Let them know where the amenities are in the hotel, what they offer etc. The girl, Marah who checked us in was cold and indifferent. Not a good first impression of this hotel.. In addition to changing the room colors and the staff being more friendly, the gift shop could use some updating as well. Why not sell some books, or toiletries for instance. Just some ideas. Caution: We ordered a pizza from Jack's bar in the hotel, and they charge you 12.00 for a small frozen pizza. Way too expensive for what you get. The price is ridiculous!

Review 35:This is a nice hotel close to the Mississippi river and the main bridge going from Moline, IL into Davenport Iowa. The hotel was very clean, and offers a lot such as continental breakfast with some hot food, very nice pool(which flows into the outside) nice hot tub, a Bar and Grill, coffee and cookies for quests, and a gift shop. The room was nice except for the dark decor. I loved having a refrigerator and coffee pot with coffee each day, and a microwave. They had plenty of nice thick towels in the bathroom and hotel toiletries. It is a nice hotel.

Review 36:Atmosphere was great.staff were very helpful.

Review 37:Thought the price seemed too high to not have upscale beds and bedding

Review 38:The hotel was simply beautiful. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Lobby area is very inviting. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 39:Location

Review 40:Only downside was the coffee that was served at breakfast. Ugh. Had to make a special trip to DD

Review 41:Enjoyed my stay! Very clean

Review 42:Unique setting with a very friendly staff!

Review 43:To many kids in pool.no adults around.

Review 44:The hot tub

Review 45:Everything room, staff, location, bed, free breakfast excellent!

Review 46:Plastic cups. Poor lighting

Review 47:Nice and happy. Always.

Review 48:Not familiar with the area I struggled to find the place

Review 49:Katie at the front was very attentive and accommodating.

Review 50:Breakfast

Review 51:Breakfast was my only negative. It offered few options and they were not very good.

Review 52:trains

Review 53:Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Should we ever be in the quad cities again we will stay there

Review 54:they allowed us to store bikes inside, which was nice

Review 55:Atmosphere and location.

Review 56:Breakfast could have been better.

Review 57:Friendly and clean.

Review 58:Waited 25 minutes in the restaurant for an evening meal and never was waited on. Yes, it was busy. But, 25 minutes? Having missed the evening meal, because of this, I was looking forward to the breakfast. Unfortunately, at 6:30AM, I guess everyone else had tried to eat dinner at the restaurant because the breakfast room was packed. No room to sit, no room to prepare your breakfast! I did enjoy the yogurt in the lobby. I will find another place to stay.

Review 59:Nice facilities

Review 60:Friendlyness of staff & hotel theme

Review 61:When we arrived staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was great and very comfortable. It was a great stay.

Review 62:Very nice hotel
