Review 1：nothing bad....except that new housing is being built which changes the unique character of the quaint little village we love.

Review 2：Very clean and everything worked. Staff spoke very good English and was always very helpful. Location near the beach and the view of the ocean from every room. Great breakfast and even had scrambled eggs. Always fresh and well stocked.

Review 3：Room far too small, we could hardly access the shower/toilet area. Very slow and unreliable lift, on occasion we had to use the emergency exit from the 4th floor. Very limited parking

Review 5：Luckely we had Wifi because we were staying on the first floor, but there is no Wifi in the rest of the hotel (except the bar/reception). When staying on the first floor you'll definitely hear the noise from the bar... Bring some earplugs or book in advance so that you're able to get a room on one of the higher floors.

Review 6：What a beautiful place at a more beautiful beach. The people at the hotel were very helpfull and the breakfast was great! Some really nice restaurants at walking distance. Although there is no private parking of the hotel, there is enough space at a small parking area behind the hotel.

Review 9：Hotel is close to bus stop and beach. Very easy to get around the village. Nice seaview and balcony. Hotel very clean, breakfast hearty, varied and nutritious. Fresh fruit, esp oranges, was the BEST on my trip! Staff very accomodating and helpful. They also speak a variety of languages. Our bathroom sink leaked a bit and was fixed up immediately. Our leftovers from dinner were refrigerated and reheated for us the next day in real bowls! Wish I could return soon!

Review 15：We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Residencial Salema, which is located just a stone's throw from the beach. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was plentiful. Salema is a small but charming fishing town that has retained it's traditional Portuguese character. I would highly recommend visiting.

Review 25：I was greeted by Chiko on arrival and made very welcome. All the staff were very friendly and Valentino in the bar is a really great character. I missed the nice lady who used to greet me at breakfast on my third week !!

Review 26：breakfast was ok, but the same thing every morning, only one hot dish (scrambled eggs)! there was a misunderstanding with the price as we added another person to the room but I think this was booking.com and not the hotel. the room had a broken tv, shower and telephone when we got there but all were fixed immediately.

Nice room...even includes robes! Atlantico restaurant was awesome. Also try the "cataplana" at Laurneco's. No view but a very cool place....great food and people!

Review 47：When I went to pay they tried to up the price of our stay from 54,- to 60,- euros a night. After checking my booking with Booking.com they said it was just for the first night (despite charging me 60,- for the first night too) then finally climbed down and charged the 54,- euros advertised. It was the only sour point of our visit.

Review 62：This remote fishing village is worth the travel time.The town is small and cozy. The hotel was a few steps from the beach. It is a simple hotel that covers your basic needs. They have a bar where you can relax in the evenings and enjoy the scenery. The staff were helpful and breakfast was good. The beach is spectacular and the views are beautiful. We did not rent a car but since we had all the time in the world we didn't mind the local bus service. It was efficient and you get to see all the little towns.The location is perfect near all restuarants. I loved it!
