Review 8：This is classified as a four star hotel, but the room did not have a clock, nor a radio, nor an iron & ironing board. The item I missed most was a coffee pot or a pot for heating water for tea. As a person who does not eat huge meals, across my stay of 8 days this time, several times I ordered the same items for lunch and dinner from their limited a la carte menu. limited.

Review 9：The staff was friendly and helpful. The senior staff remembered me from previous stays though these had been several years ago. The beautifully tended grounds with trees, lawns, flowers, birds, butterflies, humming birds provide an idyllic setting. The ground-level guest rooms can enjoy sitting outside their rooms on comfortable rattan chairs, in the arched walk-ways. There are two semi-secluded large patio areas where guests can sit under the trees and relax or work on laptops / tablets, or read books on paper! The dining room is very elegant. Their expansive buffet seems to very popular with many folks who go there for workshops.

We stayed at the beginning of the week and had reservations somewhere else for the end of the week. We cancelled the second hotel to return to Hotel del Paraguay. In my opinion there is no where better to stay in Asuncion.
