Reviews for Sareeraya Villas & Suites

Review 1:Dinner at the resturant was below standard and definitely not value for money. Wait staff did not respond when we advised about he meal.

Review 2:Loved the fact it was on the beach, friendly staff, lots of resturant so nearby. Very quiet for its location.

Review 3:None except we felt not quite safe walking to Chaweng Centre at nightime

Review 4:Friendly & helpful staff. Room is comfortable & good view facing the sea.

Review 5:I could not fault the resort. Wine is expensive in Thailand.

Review 6:Pool area, restaurant for breakfast, location. Extremely helpful staff including security. They made our stay most enjoyable.

Review 7:In terms of its high cost, the breakfast doesn't offer even squeezed juice! And the barbequ buffet of dinner is expensive and just so so, and it DOES NOT include drink! The room is not clean enough, I doubt if they clean the floor everyday.

Review 8:The location is definitely perfect, the beach is white and fine, the hotel is on the chawong road full of restaurants and massages, very convenient.

Review 9:Be aware- the rooms close to the road are a disaster. You can hear the road all night. Make sure to select a room close to the pool

Review 10:Amazing. Rooms are outstanding, the pool is heaven style and the beach as well.

Review 11:We booked an extra night by mistake and chose the non refund option. When asked if there was anything they could do I was disappointed with the response as it was a one liner saying that "we chose the non refund option". However it was our mistake and do understand that. Front desk staff also weren't particularly helpful when we asked about taxis.

Review 12:The room was amazing and the facilities were great. Bar and breakfast staff were great and paid attention to the details.

Review 13:The guests around us were not very considerate regarding the levels of shouting and doors slamming.

Review 14:Great staff. General manager was very understanding and customer friendly as well as a very nice man

Review 15:We didn't stay longer.

Review 16:Overall this was a great hotel. We stayed for the final leg of our honeymoon tour of thailand. The food from breakfast to dinner was superb. The manager was there every meal time to welcome the guests and had a great rapport with each guest.

Review 17:The general manager introduced himself on the first evening and continued to speak to us throughout our stay checking if we were having a good time and needing anything else. He was able to answer any questions about the local area which we had.

Review 18:One has to walk in the see to be able to swim :(

Review 19:The entier hotel is concepted with luxury taste and just perfect for relaxing. Very nice private pools and pool bar. Attentive staff fulfilling even exceptional wishes. I ordered a special ice-coffe which was not on the menu and they prepared it in no time exactly as I wanted! :)

Review 20:The shower temperature adjustment proved temperamental.

Review 21:The Sareeraya Resort is perfectlectly located on Chawaeng Beach. The ideal place for an unforgettable family holiday.

Review 22:The only disappointment for us were the families with noisy and undisciplined children. Some were left to run amok in the pool area, yelling, splashing water in my cocktail and whining. Mornings by the pool were lovely and quiet until about 10.30am.

Review 23:Everything was a well oiled machine - from the flower bracelet, cold cloth and juice on arrival, breakfast selection was beyond amazing, staff friendly and remembered kids names and room was immaculate and luxurious. I'm very fussy and our rooms and all hotel areas were kept spotless. Walking distance to markets and many restaurants. Their buffet dinner on the beach was spectacular. Silver service - linen tablecloths and delicious food.

Review 24:Breakfast was not good and food they offered were low quality. There were no fresh juice. Pool was small and the beach area had a few sun beds and did not have a nice or cosy atmosphere.

Review 25:Room was really clean and spacious . Sea view was also good. Especially the security was really helpful and cheerful.

Review 26:Staff weren't very helpfull. pool access room was damp and smelled. Great location though we stayed in akrya (hotel next door) for the first few nights it was just as good, much more friendly and half the price.

Review 27:Swim up bar, pool access room. Location

Review 28:We did have some minor issues with the Jacuzzi, but nothing that was not fixed right away... we visited around end of Feb, and though it was hot during the day, it was not that hot in the evening/night... so the cool water in the private pool we had was a bit disappointing... we were hoping to use it after the baby had gone to sleep, but it was less fun than we had imagined...

Review 29:Huge bed!!!! Villa was perfectly equipped, so perfectly I felt both at home and on the perfect vacation on the same time... the hotel itself is relatively small but we liked the uniqueness of it... kind of a boutique experience... hotel surrounding is beautifully designed and gives a warm feeling for staying more.

Review 30:Nearly erverybody we talked to in our stay did not get the room paid for the first night and had to change afterwards. Does mean you paid a pool villa and will get a suite, and of course the price difference will not be refunded and you have to spend it as credit on the hotel or loose it! Are ttey kidding?? Extremely unfriendly chinese front office manager who even had fights with some guests during our stay!! He tells everybody with whom he had problems that he is also the hotel manager and nobody else will attend you!! At the breakfast, staff is only waiting to 10:30 to eat the rest of the poor buffet even if there are still guests sitting on their table. First time we saw that in a hotel!! Could continue endless, like everybody unfriendly, no towels after room cleaning, spa opposite of the main road, expensive and poor food, suites are located on the main road, etc., etc. Far away even from 4 stars, I think they mention even 5!! Never ever again!! Like most of the guests we met.

Review 31:The weather in January was a bit of a let down - and this place relies on good weather as the resort is all centred around the beach (despite my research saying that January is one of the driest months- it wasn't dry much of the time).Whilst the hotel is well looked after other areas of the beach outside the hotel are not so looked after and lets the island down big time in my opinion. Our room was one of the swim up ones, but the pool was far too cold to go in for me. The design of the building meant that the terrace leading to the pool gets very little sun. If it's raining then there's nowhere really to go in the hotel other than to sit in your room. I felt that the hotel could maybe have organised a few more events to keep people entertained in those circumstances. One of the two bars was closed for the entire duration of our stay.

Review 32:Nice hotel, smaller than I thought it would be. Staff very friendly. Hotel food very good on the whole. We did the Thai cooking class which was very good and something to do when it was raining!

Review 33:Fireworks in close proximity to the rooms (there was a wedding on the beach apparently). Made it very difficult to sleep. Location of toilet paper dispenser was in an awkward position. I would have liked more of a festive atmosphere at the pool bar during the day and at happy hour in the form of lounge music.

Review 34:Loved the effort put into ensuring no bugs made it into your room. They spray every night and supply an electronic mosquito repellent. Bed was super comfy. Staff extremely accommodating. The chef kindly agreed to grill the fish we had caught on our fishing trip that afternoon!

Review 35:Customer service by phone & email before we arrived was disgusting. We booked 6 rooms for 17 people but were not offered any discount or given any special treatments as such. Extremely grumpy bar service by the pool - every day was the same grumpy man! Transfers are normally included with bookings but we were charged just because it was december - not cheap - double the price of a taxi! Extra folding bed charge was USD95 per night - that's just overpriced.

Review 36:The rooms were big, clean & luxurious with ALL rooms having a seaview. The beach was kept clean and had easy access Security guard was most helpful & polite. The reception & dining staff were excellent and friendly. Cleaners did an excellent job. Cheap & delicious thai food & massages on the beach

Review 37:The suite I was given was close to the street. I didn't hear much street and traffic noise, but it did bother me at times.

Review 38:The first thing they did was upgrade me to a suite with a private pool. The suite was absolutely beautiful. The staff was excellent. The restaurant and pool, with a swim up bar, were right on the beach, which was spectacular. Located just down the street from all the restaurants and bars.

Review 39:There was nothing I did not like.

Review 40:Loved the staff for friendliness and very helpful with day tours. Food was also very good. I ate at the Chef's table almost every meal! Great food and great atmosphere right on the beach.

Review 41:Food not enough international more thai

Review 42:Lovely hotel rooms are stunning great that there were no children lotsor couples the only thing there is not much entertainment at night theyshould do dinner every night at hotel and not use Australian meat have avariation otherwise great hotel will come back

Review 43:Perfect if you like a bit of luxury. The location was perfect for us to enjoy a quieter night away from the busier end of chaweng beach but also close enough for us to walk along to the bars when we wanted to.

Review 44:Average breakfast Rooms are not of a 5 star standard, more like 4 star Amenities quality is poor

Review 45:the location of the hotel is about 1.6kms from city center, cabs are superbly expensive so be prepared to walk. The a la carte food in the restaurant is excellent Spa is superb

Review 46:Nothing.

Review 47:The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large and clean. The location of the hotel is excellent. The staff is very nice and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Review 48:Quit part off beach not a lot to do for boys more south we found a better fibe. Also pool bar not good and no music.

Review 49:pool was great, restaurant good, rooms perfect.

Review 50:When I was checking out, I asked reception to print the receipt, the staff refused and even can't tell me the total amount, she told me if I want the receipt have to contact booking.com, I sent email to them, till now no one respond me. how can I know if there is any extra directly charged from my credit card? I feel insecure at all. And I told the staff I didn't need them to call taxi for us, they insisted call a taxi with higher rate, my boyfriend already negotiated with a minibus, but the taxi drive asked the mini bus go. Such a bad experience. The hotel is actually very small and not under good management.

Review 51:Was a lots of Mosquitoes We found 2 Centipede 10cm in our room. The bar it's a bit expansive and the charge the tip inside the bill.

Review 52:Crow was very nice and help all the times. .Big room and quite area

Review 53:Front office staff are very cold. Don't take sea view villas. It's not worth but take regular villas in second floor for a better sea view

Review 54:Great location, excellent property and value for money

Review 55:During breakfast few of personal was not so happy to service you.. Pity that in the hotel to high prices for dinner, just few steps from hotel you have a lot of choice for cheaper price.

Review 56:Villa with small Pool, rooms design is very nice one. The place of hotel is perfect: if you want have fun just few minutes walk from hotel, if you want rest - stay in the hotel area. Check-in is very pleasant and welcome.

Review 57:After 9 days at Sareeraya we left for 6 days in Koh Phangan. We were back for another night in Sareeraya before flying home. We were told that the hotel is overbooked and we were suggested to move to another hotel far from Chaweng. It didn't matter that we made our booking 5 months earlier and were traveling with a 1 year and 10 months old baby. The manger said "if you will help me I will help you", meaning move to another hotel and I will give you a room to use on your last day for free (our flight was at 19:30). We asked to get the room before 14:00 cause our baby needs to take her afternoon nap, the manager kept saying that if we don't help him we won't get a room before 14:00 and will have to check out no later than 12:00 on the next day. We refused to move to a different hotel and ended up paying extra (half price per night) to get a room to use during our last day (it was heavily raining that day). Too bad the manager had to ruin our mood on the last couple of days of our trip. I had expected to be treated better after staying there for so long.

Review 58:Big rooms, great pool and children's pool. A good atmosphere. I recommend the room with the jacuzzi!

Review 59:No free transfer, not much we did not like about this place.

Review 60:Location,bar, restaurant, super comfy bed, beach, did I mention super comfy bed! Staff and general nice feel to the place. Early check in.

Review 61:Nothing

Review 62:Staff are very freindl... The room was big and confortable

Review 63:Excellent location, nice breakfast. The staff, security and manager are very friendly and Helpful. The gym was well equipped.

Review 64:Terrible poolside drinks. Typical resort drinks with next to no alcohol in them.

Review 65:Great location, helpful staff, good breakfast.

Review 66:Staff and security was friendly always smiling, very informative and welcoming!

Review 67:We booked via bookings.com and overpaid compared to what other guests pqid

Review 68:There was nowhere to sit and relax in the evening or inclement weather.

Review 69:Most things especially the staff.

Review 70:Very small property. Very small swimming pool and limited restaurants and dining options. Food at in room dining was very bad

Review 71:Excellent service

Review 72:A lot of mosquito in the room

Review 73:Very good service and good sea beach

Review 74:very noisy.there is no suites like its written only big rooms that are very very noisy

Review 75:the sound of the cars in the street are a bit noisy.

Review 76:the staff. the location. the beach

Review 77:Booked a plunge pool suite. Plunge pool not much bigger than a bath. Overpriced.

Review 78:Nice rooms. Private

Review 79:There is no sea for swimming

Review 80:air conditioned at the fitness, too hot and doesn t work well

Review 81:staff very friendly

Review 82:Very good location. Good property right on the beach..

Review 83:the orange juice for breakfast should be fresh

Review 84:the suite and the location somewhat separate from the main activities, but still close enough

Review 85:Unfortunately the restaurant was a little expensive.

Review 86:Excellent friendly staff.Requests were accommodated with great efficiency.

Review 87:Mozzies in the room more than once

Review 88:Main pool area is lovely. Good location on the beach. Nice restaurant.

Review 89:Pool Restaurant Kindness of the staff Location and beach Cleanliness Room Extras as beachbag are very usefull

Review 90:Very clean, nice location on the beach, away from the main strip but close enough to enjoy

Review 91:Breakfast is fabulous Room are great Clean and comfort

Review 92:nothing

Review 93:everything

Review 94:The wifi could have been better (continuously dropped out) but we told them that in our feedback form and they replied saying they would work on it! The buffet breakfast was great, however the lunch and dinner options at the hotel restaurant could have been more vegetarian-friendly (but they told us they'd work on that too).

Review 95:Sareeraya Villas & Suites were affordable and amazing. Our room was spacious, luxurious and very clean. The room even came with a personal beach bag and shoes! The pool came with a stunning setting, right on the beach and the staff were friendly and attentive. Great location too - the bustling streets of Chaweng were only a few minutes away (which provided great food options and entertainment) however the hotel was far enough removed from the busy streets to still be serene and very relaxing. We would definitely return to beautiful Koh Samui and stay at Sareeraya again.

Review 96:Buffet dinner wasn't the best, take a walk down the strip as there is so much on offer at a more reasonable price.

Review 97:Location perfectly based in Chaweng, close to the main strip but far enough not to be disturbed. Private beach is amazing as you can't get hassled by local sellers.

Review 98:1.i couldn't stay more , 2.drinks pricing on the pool are somehow pricey comparing to other locations in thailand and Koh Samui ( 220 BHT a drink) 3.location is a bit far around 18 kilometers from Lamai beach which is a famous beach in Koh Samui

Review 99:1.welcoming from front office is so warm. 2.front desk manager Mr. Mathew came to us with all documentations ready, we signed, he informed us that it's still 12 noon and room will be ready by 1:15, asked us if we would prefer to hang by the pool , but we told him that we would want to rent a scooter , he called a rental agency for us, got us somebody to the hotel to meet us sign the documents, deliver scooter , that was really special treatment for us ; 3.room spacious, interior design modern amazingly clean, spacious balcony all overlooking the sea ; 4.breakfast i can tell it's the best breakfast i got in 7 nights of staying at various hotels in Thailand , the breakfast at Sareeraya Villas is perfectly amazing and got everything, my respect to the F& B team , the chef and the staff ,

Review 100:Staff was disappointing. This is the only hotel that wouldn't allow an early check-in and a late checkout. They had staff standing outside my door at exactly 12pm to chase me out. It was a very bad way to end our holiday. I'm never going back.

Review 101:Location

Review 102:The sea right in front of the hotel is ok for swimming but is not the best around (bottom is full of rocks and leaves). No worries, a short walk up or down the beach and you can find a perfect spot for swimming with fine sand and clear warm water.

Review 103:Hotel facilities are great, nearly all rooms get their own private pool. The place is beautiful and relaxing, right in front of Chaweng beach, you can enjoy either the sea or the main pool. Pool bar happy hour is a good catch. Breakfast is good and so is the overall food in the hotel. Staff is really nice and always keen to help. The hotel is just 10 min walk from downtown and all the night life but still in a quiet location. Free internet all over the hotel (and yes, it works really well). I would definitely go back there!

Review 104:Variation of food in the breakfast buffet at Chef's Table isn't wide enough.

Review 105:Room and the patio are spacious. Very satisfied with the jacuzzi out on the patio. Loving the pool bar as well. Staffs provided excellent service.

Review 106:not enough tea in the room, or personal docking station. procuring such from reception, no lighter or matches for lighting candles. room 212, outside socket did not work, bath failed to fill at times because plug mechanism did not create a seal, pool depth too shallow, noise from other guests coming through the sliding doors, dangerous step down into bathroom.

Review 107:room size, layout, service, staff, welcome, pool style, food available, atmosphere very relaxed, book shelf and personal spaces in public areas, gardens and features,

Review 108:Delayed check - in ( by 1.5hrs) which was annoying, but appart from that, I have nothing bad to say.

Review 109:We stayed in Samui for 4 nights and this hotel was amzing! It is centraly loacted, has lovely facilities and very helpful staff. It is very luxurious and I would definitely stay there again.

Review 110:Very expensive for what it has to offer. Poor facilities, very small swimming pool that was always very crowded so you could never use it. High prices in food and drinks. Too many families with small children so you could never relax

Review 111:Location, very close to the center

Review 112:Everything was amazing! Nothing bad to say.

Review 113:Everything! We loved how they welcomed us , the rooms are great, clean, decorated , the location is amazing, great pool, wide selection of food-and it was amazing, kind and helpfull staff. We booked for 3 nights and ment to go to Kho pangan, when we arrived we took 3 more nights and loved every second! We had the best honeymoon there!

Review 114:The unwanted rodent in our room - however this was dealt with very promptly by the staff

Review 115:Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was awesome. Great location, would definitely recommend to others, would love to stay again!

Review 116:Breakfast is very simple, not so many choices.

Review 117:We love this hotel. Friendly staffs, good location, clean. I also recommend the hotel restaurant "chef's table", I think the cook put a lot of thinking in the dishes. The food taste good and also present good. They offer Thai buffet (1200 bt)on every monday and Asian buffet with sushi (1400 bt) every Thursday.

Review 118:Our room was very close to the road and so we did hear traffic noise at night.

Review 119:Lovely hotel right on the beach at Chaweng. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 120:The staff at Sareeraya villas are the best in the business. They did everthing they can to make our stay perfect. The rooms where comfortable and very clean. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Review 121:Fantastic location next to the beach and a short (easy) walk to Chaweng Beach shops.Excellent on-site facilities such as pool, bars, and resaurant. We enjoyed delicious and relaxing breakfasts overlooking the Andarman Sea. The beachfront and outdoor facilities were kept impeccably clean. We had 6 nights in a luxury seaview room on the third floor which was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Review 122:false advertising about the room types. We demanded to be moved to another room as the noise from the street is shocking, it felt like our bed was in the middle of the road. Not to mention the mosquitoes due to the fact that there are major gaps in the door frames and they don't close properly

Review 123:Is overpriced, there are better resorts in koh samui and way cheaperthan this.

Review 124:We booked the villa with plunge pool. The resort is beautiful, the staffis very friendly and the location couldn't be better. Is like anoasis in the middle of Chaweng.

Review 125:Can't fault it.

Review 126:Amazing location right on the beach. We were returning after staying last year, we were once again not disappointed. Restaurant very expensive but lovely bars on the beach at a fraction of the cost (two minute walk).

Review 127:A little pricey and a bit of a walk to the main strip. If you're a young couple its probably a little out of the way but still a good location.

Review 128:Great rooms and fantastic service.

Review 129:Repeated insect control at time of day we'd be showering or relaxing before dinner. Annoying children( thought it would of been more of a couples resort.) Expensive drinks Old iPod dock which iPhone couldn't be used No fans or air at reception

Review 130:Bathroom was fantastic. Transit lounge Friendly staff

Review 131:The nearest beach is awful (but a few minutes away you can enjoywonderful water)The bed and bedclothes are uncomfortable No sea side view on the 2nd floor (trees are higher than your sight) Not so clean room (considering 5 star price) Poor amenities (They don't provide disposable shampoo, etc.)

Review 132:Clean & shallow beach Delicious breakfast (you can order 6~8 menusas well as the buffet) Wonderful outside view (only on the 3rd floor)Clean and neat equipment on the beach

Review 133:There was a mouse in our room which the staff did nothing about. They told us it was gone but it was back again the following night.

Review 134:Villa was lovely and very spacious.
