Review 1：I have used the Hiwayman for many years. The location is good and easy access to the hiway. The rooms are clean and comfortable...I noticed this time the furniture has been updated but the bathrooms could use an update as well. They are a bit tired looking.

Review 2：It was really cool in the pool area, turn up the heat in the pool for the winter please.

Review 3：The room was great, but we have also stayed in another section of the hotel, before this trip, and that section seemed a bit run down.

Review 4：They didn't even clean my room.. I stayed with 4 kids 2 nights... My daughter hurt her baby toe in the door to the pool. Then Centre door ham the doors close onto was rusted off the floor.

Review 5：I left my nightgown, which is a long t-shirt, on the bed and to date no one has returned my call to say they have found it. It is red, long and should have been easy enough to see when they made the bed. I feel silly for leaving it but we were late and rushing out. I would stay there again, but would make sure that the room was completely combed before leaving.

Review 6：Very accommodating on check-in; they moved us when we didn't like the location of the room. Very comfy bed and noise free room. No fridge humming etc. We have been staying stay there on Christmas Eve with other members of our family for over 10 years, and have noticed the improvements especially with the beds. Location is great with easy access to Orillia and Coldwater.

Review 7：Fire place did not work in the room, there was no soap in the bathroom.Asked to have someone come look at the fireplace and there was no one tofix it. Asked for a discount due to the inequities and did not receive adiscount. Was a nice stay but not impressed with the issues we had.

Review 9：The night we stayed it was for our 25th anniversary.kind of felt it was ruined by the police and manager yelling thru a door at another guest for over an hour before kicking the door in and removing the other guest. It's a Little difficult to find the romance or sleep after a situation like that.

Review 11：Did not like the fact that our patio door on our room wasn't properly installed it was very loose, the mattresses slid off the box springs when moved around as there was plastic on the box spring. Our room made a weird noise from the bathroom like a vibrating noise. Carpet was old and not vacuumed when we got our room there was dirt on the carpet.

Review 14：We really like the fact that there was a resteraunt on property, which allowed us to have a swim, before supper, get changed and , go to supper without having to drive anywhere in the cold. The choice of breakfast was very good! The motel is dog friendly and there is a large grassed area to excercise our dog. The price was very reasonable.

Review 16：Since we came for a dance competition and all the parents with their dancer stayed at the hotel , we enjoyed their company and the pool facilities, breakfast was good and plenty, service at the restaurant was very good

Review 17：The beds were rather squeaky. Pillows were not really comfortable. I was unable to find the Do Not Disturb tag to hang on the door so I decided to craft one instead by making a note. While a pen was provided, rather than a typical notepad I get at all motels/hotels I've been to, all we got was a single piece of paper. Ended up splitting it in 2, in case I'd need to make a second sign.

Review 18：All-in-all the place was clean. Everything was showing its age, but nothing was broken. The staff was very friendly and the price fit our budget. The in-suite TV allowed HDMI input and I was able to review photos I took on the big screen. There was a pool I saw other people use. The facilities seemed to be pretty decent

Asked for late check out, was confirmed by front desk staff that late check was OK and would cost additional $25. Review 110：Where to start...the room was filthy. Patio door would not open. Staff was rude. Rooms, furniture, bedding were very dated. Not all rooms were the same (some had fridges, microwaves, flat screen tvs, while others didn't). Hot tub not working. Parking was brutal because there were no available spaces. Security entrances weren't locked. Tv was blurry and ancient. Buffet food was cold and staff didn't know about the coupons we were given at check in. Staff promised to address all of our concerns but nothing was done.

Review 111：We requested rooms near one another at the time of booking and not only were we not on the same floor as our other group, we weren't even in the same wing. Upon entering our room, it was apparent it hadn't been cleaned (hair around sink, filthy floor). Although we were paying the same per room, our two rooms were vastly different (one had a fridge, microwave, flat screen tv and new bedding while the other had no fridge or microwave, an old clunker of a tv, and bedding from the 70s). The hot tub was out of order. The staff acknowledged our concerns and promised to rectify them. Nothing was done, there was no follow through. We paid for breakfast at the time of booking our room and were given vouchers to use in the restaurant. Restaurant staff had never seen them before and didn't know what to do with them. The staff was rude and even hung up on us at one point.

The insides of the bathroom facilities (tub, sink, toilet) were clean, but the outside was not, nor was the floor. There were spots on the carpet (some still sticky or wet), and the furniture was quite dusty. There were "dust bunnies" behind & under the furniture and in the corners. The TV did not work, nor was there an outlet to plug the clock radio in. This was all mentioned to staff, and I believe they attempted to clean/fix during one of our outings, but it was no better. They did, however, give us a reduced rate. We have stayed at this hotel many times, and while not top rate, it's never been this bad.

Review 134：We were stuck in the middle Of a large family taking up about 4 rooms in our hallway (room 233). They left their doors open, yelled, ran, their kids randomly knocked on doors, they were up all hours of the night and we could hear them word for word in our room. Maybe next time don't scatter them out like that (large groups) because it's the poor people in the rooms between that suffer sleep deprivation.
