Reviews for Mesón De Leyendas Downtown & Garden

Review 1:Not great for little kids; much better for couples. Very loud at 5:30 am with dogs and roosters

Review 2:Cute B&B in the middle of the city. Food was great. Very nice room. Very romantic

Review 3:We are a family of three with a baby so location was a must and this hotel is just walking distance from downtown, the hotel looks very Mexican is so beautiful, the rooms are spacious and personal has excellent service, we had such a great experience that we even extended our stay. We definitely recomend you to try.

Review 4:I´m very upset ... i always use "booking" to obtain the best relation price/quality in my reservations, unfortunately this time were different. This hotel offer packages (hotel + food + massage, etc.) at lower rates that the prices offered in "booking". And the worst: when i asked the employees if i they can offer me that packages (one of the packages had the same price that i had payed) they told me that i can´t because i had used "booking".

Review 5:Some maintainence going on (hot tub) and there are lots of barking dogs nearby that barked all hours of the night.

Review 6:great breakfast and unique middle of the jungle feel to property. parking cramped but secure. room was big, slept six of us, and had good satellite TV selections

Review 7:I found a scorpion in the bed under the pillow, and had to move out at midnight, parking is across the street and not for a car maybe for a 4 wheel drive, phone at the room did not work

Review 8:decoration is nice and food was good,

Review 9:they put us in a room the smelled of mold and humidity on the bottom floor. the first night i requested a change of room and the front desk manager said we could change in the morning. in the morning he told us he did'nt have any rooms available, but we noticed that there were empty rooms. so once we told them we were leaving the next day, they finally changed our room on the third day. but I have allergies so i got sick anyways by the time they let us change rooms. when we had to cut our visit short in Valle de Bravo they charged us another night for cancelling early. the front desk manager was not helpful at all. the hotel manager took advantage of us also and did not have to charge us another night as they still had empty rooms. If you stay there make sure that you request a room on the upper floor because not only are the lower rooms have a problem with humdity but you can hear every step the guest above you take, including draging their luggage across the floor.

Review 10:I liked the rooms, they were clean with attention to details, like a safe in the room. the garden is very nice, and the breakfast was very good.

Review 11:It's on a one way street Away from the centre square so it's a little complicated to get to.

Review 12:Beautiful grounds with a great room, a crib available for our kid, delicious freshly made breakfast included and close to the centre square. Free off street parking.

Review 13:the first roo m we got had windows to the street and a humid smell. We complained and got another one.

Review 14:spacious room, friendly staff, nice breakfast, overall friendly atmosphere. Good for family.

Review 15:I was blocked in parking lot when we left. We had trouble with sterp stairs in upstairs bedroom which had no bath, so difficult bathroom trips at niggt, not to mention low ceiling, butnwe changed rooms which was better. Room was not ready when we arrived ( 1:00 on a thursday). Many options for breakfast, but not interested in most ( lots of sugar and carbs- terrible instant oatmeal, etc). Staff not always at desk. Patio full of leaves. Hot tub not working - but not a bad place. Overall we enjoyed, but I wouldn't give it an 8.

Review 16:The sheets, beds, towels, showers were excellent. Rooms were charming and spacious. There were many outside areas to enjoy.

Review 17:Great location, the room was gorgeous and the bathroom was one of dreams - huge bath and fabulous mirror/stained glass window. A late night stint in the hot tub on the roof was magical. We didn't want to leave.

Review 18:Run down hotel with limited staff.Very poor quality for the 235USD they asked/night. Customer service non- existent.

Review 19:Unfortunately, nothing to mention.

Review 20:The bed was old, and I think it is overpriced

Review 21:The staff was very nice¡!

Review 22:It was very noisy at night due to street noise.

Review 23:Nice facilities and excellent attention. Breakfast was great and location was very convenient.

Review 24:Humidity in romm 3

Review 25:Beautiful room, lovely breakfast, hottub, wine... Everything we asked for and more!

Review 26:Everything was great

Review 27:One of my favourite hotels in my trip around Mexico Loved the room Bed very comfortable Bathroom beautiful

Review 28:I didn't like the location, I prefer closer to the plaza. I think the hotel from the outside is very updated.

Review 29:I like the staff, they were very nice. The rooms were good and we love the hot tub. The breakfast was very good.

Review 30:After our first night we were asked to move to another room which was inthe middle, and I do mean middle, of a group of people having a meeting. Those people then partied loudly until 5:30 A.M. We were moved again toa room where the floor had been recently varnished and was off gassingfumes. Our new standard for places we love not to be, Valle del Bravo.

Review 31:The staff were helpful and the breakfast was generous.

Review 32:wifi only works next to wifi point, quite slow 1 mirror in bathroom, advice: put another mirror with light in room above table. fireplace could not be turned on

Review 33:clean polite large room fresh water daily close by cheap wash service walking distance of zocalo

Review 34:Do not follow the map provided by booking.com for directions... It is incorrect!!! The address given is correct, so ask for directions when at the main plaza.

Review 35:Very friendly extremely helpful staff. Rustic rooms, Delicious breakfast, relaxing massage! close to everything. Would highly recommend

Review 36:Felt a little insecure about the locks on the doors and windows. The safe also had the batteries taped in, I think if someone hit it hard enough they could possibly open it. The jacuzzi on ground level wasn't really working, had to ask to have it heated and it took two hours. We were never sure when we would need it so we never got to use it. The one on the roof may have been shut down for the season. Wifi was available but really spotty on some days and in some parts of the hotel. Probably not so much the hotel's fault but rather the internet service provider's.

Review 37:I liked that we could walk easily anywhere in the city or get a cab.The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The price was good. Breakfast was good. The environment was lovely and clean. We loved that they had filtered water systems for use throughout the hotel. I could fill my own bottle when I needed it, very smart and eco friendly.

Review 38:Lack of restaurant at night to eat... It's not really a problem dueto location but if you want to stay at night, you don't have theoption of dinner

Review 39:The facilities are from the old century so it has a nostalgic flavor...And the breakfast was very good, a typical Mexican breakfast

Review 40:The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. The hotelis built around a beautiful tropical garden in Valle de Bravo township. It is quite but in the centre of town.

Review 41:There was nothing I didn't like about Mesón de Leyendas; everything was great!

Review 42:The staff was very friendly and even upgraded me to a suite when they learned that my birthday was the next day. The breakfast -- included in the price of the hotel stay -- was excellent, and my partner Jorge and I took advantage of it daily. Just up the block was a wonderful restaurant called La Estación. We ate there several times since the hotel didn't have lunch or dinner service. The garden at the hotel was carefully attended to by Uvaldo. We felt embraced by Nature. A wonderful experience all the way around!

Review 43:The hotel is located in the centre of Valle and has a cozy, cottage-likefeel to it. It is ideal for couples or families that want to enjoy thetown without having to drive everywhere.

Review 44:Front rooms very noisy then moved to back rooms and had no water for a day, management did not believe us until we proved it.

Review 45:Very good breakfast.

Review 46:Rooms dont have air conditioning

Review 47:Location Concept Staff

Review 48:Location Staff attention Breakfast Room design
