Review 14：The Buffett breakfast was our favorite part! In South America many hotels claim to have an American breakfast but this hotel blows that out of the park. Nice spread of fruits, meats, cheeses, sweet breads, etc. Nice comfortable bed & room to move around the room. Facilities were very nice decorated.

Review 15：1- The first room assigned to us was barely a 2 star accommodation: small - dirty - outdated - bed and blankets that were low standards - amenities that are from the 1950s -etc. Then another one was shown to us but it was the same. We were then offered a suite for US $50.00 more per night. We saw the suite and we took it. It was nice and spacious with a balcony. I must say that we were disappointed and we would NOT have been happy in a standard room. We would be very surprised if YOU were satisfied with a standard room....

Review 17：A bizarre conception of the architect, made a very strange window, from which you could never take a proper look of the outside (in particular, of the Paraná River): actually, you do not have a regular window view: you do have a lot of metal staff that does not allow you to normally see the outside landscape. The heat system was a little bit noisy.

Review 43：The hotel, Asunsión and Paraguay were all above our expectation. We spent four wonderful days at Guaraní Esplendor and everything was great - staff (English speaking), service, room, bed, wi fi, swimming pool, breakfast, location, the restaurant... And it was value for money.

Review 46：The sun louvers over the windows are not adjustable and block the view. The rooms are somewhat remodeled but many of the finishes are pre-renovation such as the sliding window, the bathroom tile, the plumbing fixtures. Room not large.

Review 47：Mid century modern style. Downtown location. Excellent and caring staff. Restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was very good and varied. Overall, an excellent stay. Large bed very comfortable. A/C strong and good. Excellent security staff all around the hotel. Convenient to public transportation. WiFi excellent.

Review 48：Breakfast buffet has a good variety of dishes but it's the same everyday so for a long stay it is a bit repetitive. The gym has little equipment that is not in a good shape.

Review 52：It's surprising that the reception staff at hotel of this calibre didn't have much English. We got by with poor Spanish. The room's windows also do not offer great noise insulation. It wasn't a major problem but ear plugs might help if you're a light sleeper.

Review 53：We had a suite room with fantastic views over the city and the bay beyond. The room was huge and very comfortable: living room, bedroom with King sized double bed, good bathroom, plus a room at the apex of the building's triangular shape with great views. The city's historical sites and restaurants are within walking distance. The breakfast is really good and includes good bacon and pancakes. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 54：Front Desk and Restaurant personal was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and Lunch buffet was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and have only positive input for the Guarani Esplendor Hotel and Staff.

Review 55：The air conditioning did not function especially well in my room. It worked if you set the dial to 10 Celsius, but at 20 Celsisus, it was just blowing air, not actually cooling it.

Granted, there is not much to see or do in Asuncion but all the more reason for the hotel to have a handy list around. Just a suggestion... Oh and a hotel guide in the bedroom would have been a nice touch.

Review 58：Good location in the centre of town, good breakfast, lovely air conditioning (a must for the baking heat), and great service in terms of organising taxis all over time. The staff are very friendly, and even though their English was sometimes limited, really great.

Review 63：The rediness of the staft for helping customers. The maids do good jobin cleaning the room, very courteus. Araceli and Alejandra at the frontdesk are just an excelent example of creating the feelings of welcominghome to new arrivals.

Review 64：The pool area is very nice but there is no pool attendant, no towels,and no food or drink served by the pool so nobody ever used the pool --it was literally empty both times we stayed there. It's really quite ashame because they have a very nice pool with nice cabana beds andlounge chairs -- but with no towels or food nobody hung out at the poolat all! We were a little disappointed about this.
