Asgard Hotel sells fast on our site. This hotel is set in a 1935 building in the museum district of Groningen. It offers stylish accommodation equipped with flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and luxurious bathrooms with rain showers.

Review 1：The shower doors didn't have a good seal, which meant a wet floor (but there were ample towels to clean up, so not a real problem).

Review 2：The location for my trip (specifically to visit the Groninger Museum) was perfect, and the staff was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this lovely city and the hotel staff had a lot to do with that.

Review 5：It was my friend's birthday. There was no refrigerator, wine opener or ice bucket. We had to push our cork through our wine bottle and drink it with tap water glasses from the bathroom.

Review 13：We had a deluxe room on the third floor and the view was lovely. The room itself was very tastefully decorated - just the duvets/ comforters on the bed could have been of better quality (synthetic materials simply aren't nice when the night is quite warm). I'm not sure if the trendy combination of bedroom and half open bathroom works for me - the semi transparent door to the toilet certainly doesn't, while the beautiful bathtub was a definitive bonus.

Review 18：Brilliant location between railway station and city centre, both within only 2-3 minutes walk. At room there was simple and beautiful style, very good bathroom, excellent beds. Everything was absolutely clean. Breakfast was good, although expensive (wasn't included).

Review 20：First of all; the staff! Very friendly and professional. Furthermore; the design rooms (especially the luxury rooms) and not to forget the breakfast; very tasty and fresh local products.

Review 21：Bed was terribly, terribly soft; closed window shades let so much light in, we were awake at 5am; room had a very bad odour (like very strong body odour) that lingered despite us keeping all the windows open for hours while we went out for dinner. The decor was rather "budget."

Review 25：The WIFI in the room was terrible. The only time we had good reception was at 06:00am. My son thought the bed was perfect but it was way too soft for me but I guess that is a matter of opinion and preference. There is no mini-bar.

Review 26：Location was perfect, 2 min. from the station and a few minutes from the city centre. The staff was more than friendly, the room was very clean. The breakfast buffet was simple but very tasty. Although breakfast is served at 8:30 they made an exception for us and had it ready by 7:15.

Review 31：I loved the view from our balcony on the 3 rd floor, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. It was within walking distance of everything including the train station, but was located in a quiet neighborhood. It was just a great place to stay.

Review 32：The bikes weren't maintained. We had to come back and exchange our first ones for others though they did waive the fee for the bikes in the end which was fair and appropriate. The eggs at breakfast were overcooked with green yolks. To make proper hard boiled eggs put the eggs in cold water, bring water to a boil, take the pan off the heat and let the eggs sit in the water for 10 minutes. Any more than this and you get green yolks.

Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Buffet style breakfast was plentiful. Large bedroom with good facilities including high quality toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and speedy wifi.

Review 37：Unfortunately they put money first before the customer, my party were late getting to the hotel, l kept them updated,they asked if they could let the rooms out I had booked on the first night ,we could not get there I said yes , and that we would still pay for the nights we were not there,as I was out with the time to cancel any nights, i didn't mind,but i had amended one of the rooms to one person but was still charged for two.llet them know of this at least 5 days before we arrived,one of our party was asked to pay the same as we did for two people.instead of a single person. A shame really as it was as I said above, as we come to Groningen every year the money side will make me think about staying in that particular hotel again.

Review 91：Room (just like the photos) was quite, big and comfortabel. We had the penthouse with view on the Martinitower. The staff was very friendly. We were there just for one night and did not have breakfast. We came by train to avoid parking problems. We would definitely come back there.

Review 92：Our card to get into the room didn't work and we returned from dinner and the staff was already gone at that time. After trying to call the numbers on the card, we found another number at the reception. We called and they solved our problem telling us where the spare emergency card was. In this sense, the problem turned out to be not a big issue.

Breakfast wasn't included and would have been a pricey add on. There was no atmosphere whatsoever in the rest of the hotel.
