Reviews for Hostal Chaska Wasi
Review 1:Bathroom smelled bad. No WiFi outside the hours of 9 am - 11 pm. There was no one to be found if I needed anything after 11 pm and before breakfast time. Breakfast is advertised as starting at 7:30 am, but wasn't ready until closer to 8 am. They don't allow WiFi at breakfast, but they watch trashy TV at breakfast. Felt like I was a child in school, with rules, but I'm an adult on vacation! And some of us need to do research online to plan out our days!!!
Review 2:We have been forgotten during one breakfast. Had to grab food from other tables... The conversion rate from nuevo soles to dollars taken to pay for the accommodation was far higher than the standard one (we have done this kind of conversion the same day, buying stuff, and the rate was not the same...)
Review 3:Could keep our luggage for a few days while travelling.
Review 4:a ilttle bit far from the train station. the water was warmish to cold. wifi only works in public area, which is outdoor, so cold at night. wifi hour is 9-10 only.
Review 5:the combi to cusco is right in front of the door
Review 6:Katy is often very busy, as any proprietor is, so often comes across as being stressed, which just isn't the case. I found her to be very helpful and pleasant, as with the staff too. Yes there are rules, which if you look at them carefully, especially with wifi are there to afford everyone a pleasant stay. The courtyard is pleasant away from the hustle and bustle of p de a. The rooms cleaned daily are comfortable, duvets on beds even. Though, there doesn't appear to be anywhere to leave rucksacks whilst taking in the sights which could be a problem in the dorms, though there are small lockers available. I would stay here again!
Review 7:Internet was bad and didn't function well in certain parts of the b&b (for instance didn't work at all in our room).
Review 8:Good, central location and nice staff. Cozy place.
Review 9:We weren't allowed to use the kitchen utensils. Have to ring a doorbell every time you want to enter.
Review 10:The location was great - about 15 metres from the micro depot. Rooftop terrace with great views. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
Review 11:WiFi was very slow & cut out often. Only one power point in a four bed dorm. The door to the bathroom jammed so I was stuck in there. The beds are old & lumpy mattress.
Review 12:Great location, just a 10min walk from the train. Close to all the restaurants. Good showers.
Review 13:The most worn out bed we have ever slept in. Wi-Fi is almost non-existent. You're not allowed to take in guests, even in the common area. Very clairaudient. Breakfast only bread and butter
Review 14:Location right at the plaza
Review 15:Room was a little bit chilly but not that bad. Breakfast was fairly basic but not unusual for this part of the world
Review 16:Located right on the square so the collectivos drop you off right outside. Staff were really welcoming. Showers were hot
Review 17:overpriced, ugly bathrooms, cats running around kithen area and furniture, cold rooms, breakfast is coffee and 2 breads, cant leave til after 7am or locked out!
Review 18:Electricity went away for about two hours and I had to go to sleep with wet hair, pretty uncomfortable, but it's a problem in the town, the hostal has nothing to do about it.
Review 19:Great location, nice and helpful staff, hot shower and great rest. We checked out and left our luggage there during the day. No extra charge. Very helpful.
Review 20:Lots of rules. The owner seems to want everything exactly the way she wants it..signs like "no playing with your mobile phone while having breakfast", come back and pay later...also not very motivated to help
Review 21:Location ok, price not good but ok, breakfast ok (after we waited for them to get it 30 min after the beginning of breakfast)

Review 31:Katy, is a nice girl, helpful and warm. The cats she has are adorable. Its a good place as it is right on the main plaza. Any collectivo would drop you. If you gotta catch an early 7.20 am train, a night stop here makes it comfortable.

Review 50:we booked a private room with private bathroom.it is an average hostel with clean bed and warm water, don't expect much for breakfast though. considering you are in a small town, I can recommend this place.
Review 51:The hot water was limited (for one person only) and there was a leak in the sink, so bathroom was all floted..
Review 52:Staff is really nice and friendly, we accidently locked our selves out of our rooms at 5 am, when we were alredy late for our machu Picchu train and the guy immediately woke up and found a solution.. Thanks again!
