Review 1：My room location was great for a solo traveller. The deck was very private with a screen and ocean view. The room had all the amenities you need & continental breakfast on the first day was an added bonus.

Review 2：The receptionist who checked us in didn't trust us and was unfriendly . We had to check into our accommodation which wasn't connected to our unit. The common area of the complex was unkept and dirty. We thought we had booked into the Pier Resort but we seemed to be staying at a place called Oceans. All very confusing. The Oceans staff took no responsibility for us. The place is cold sterile with no ambiance.

Review 4：Very confusing checking in after hours to a reception down the road from the apartments. Encountered difficulties with online booking and availability, ended up having to move rooms each night. However staff were helpful and apologetic.

Review 11：The second bedroom was super small with room for only one single bed. The aircon was in the living room only, so was ineffective in the bedrooms at night. The air con also leaked excessively if you dropped the temperature below 24 celcius.

Review 25：Our apartment was in the Oceans resort but managed by a different company so the staff were not that helpful in there and the office for Pier One closed at 6. The poolside was in shade quite early due to the sun falling behind the tall building. Be warned everything in the area closes early so go for dinner early and if you want drinks buy then at the bottle shop and take them to your apartment!

Review 31：I didn't like that because we were in an apartment independently owned from Oceans resorts that we could not use their reception. The whole idea was a bit strange. We found things a bit hit and miss. Some things didn't work such as the spa in my parents in law bathroom. Lights were out. The floor in our apartment I had to mop on the second day there it was filthy making all our feet black. The water when I finished was black. However bench surfaces and bathrooms were clean. I just feel perhaps they were lacking slightly because they are owned outside Oceans resorts.

Review 39：Fabulous location, so close to the airport. The addition of breakfast for the first night was a welcome surprise in our luxurious spa room. Proximity to local restaurants, cafes and pub was great. Peter organised transfers to the Spirit Whale Watching tour which was the best day ever!!! We are coming back again!!

Review 40：We booked a 2 bedroom unit with friends and didn't realise that the main bedroom only has rice paper doors. It was noisy and not very private when the others were watching TV. Apparently most rooms have this and it would be fine if it was just for a couple.

Review 48：I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the resort to find that I had been placed in a room on the ground floor with no sea view at all. On the confirmation form that I had received, it stated in the facilities "sea view" (as well as on the booking.com website when I booked). I had had a very difficult and stressful year and was looking forward to being able to relax and "de-stress" overlooking the ocean. Instead, my first half hour or so in the apartment was spent crying my eyes out because I was so upset and disappointed (and even a "tidge" angry at the time). I believe that the website and confirmation form were extremely misleading and inaccurate.

Review 49：The location of the hotel/apartment complex at Urangan was fantastic and the apartment itself was certainly very comfortable, spacious, modern and "deluxe".

Review 70：The magnificent views both day and night as the resort was beautifully Lit. The breakfast was well thought out and actually lasted more than one breakfast. The in room computer and free wi fi was handy. We travel a lot and we really loved this resort, it's up with our top 5 for sure. Review 79：Not bad, just inconvenient. The elevators are too far from the end rooms, particularly if you have a heavy suitcase and other luggage....and a little physically disabled. For some, this can be a major concern, that the designers had not considered. Poor form on this one. The bed will very soon need a new mattress. The inner springs are loosing their tension and the edge frame intrudes. Not as comfortable as it could be....for we older folk.

Review 92：Could not get air con (heating) to work AT ALL. This was very late at night, so didn't want to wake management. But it was VERY cold as a lot of the wall space is glass. On top of this, it would have been nice to have a mat/ rug in the lounge area. Very cold floor in winter.

Review 97：The only thing I could say is I wouldn't have a room at the front of resort above the bistro bar. Very Very loud till all hours of the morning. We had 2 of our 4 nights with this. Also more info to make a little clearer where to book in, as you don't book in at reception of this building. Now we know for next time so not a problem.

Review 99：In the main bedroom the screen moving walls may not be overdoes cup of tea, We didn't mind them at all. The ensuite bathroom ceiling height maybe a problem for anyone over 6ft. To shower you stand in the spa tab and near touch the ceiling. However the 2nd bathroom was a shower room so there is an alternative.

Review 115：Well appointed apartment with great outlook, close to all amenities. A good location from which to explore the area. Really comfortable and spacious with everything provided. The light airy rooms were pleasant and the huge balcony was big enough for a party. A very nice place.

Review 116：When out on the balcony you hear the noise of your neighbours upstairs, ie... the couple above me - he was quiet reading his paper, but the annoying noise of her i-pad or whatever she was playing games on was difficult to escape. Inside the appartment it was beautiful and quiet. The best night's sleep ever! Beautiful spa bath except for the arachnoid-like wad of black hair that shot out of the jets!

Review 117：The location was good for my tour to Fraser Island the next day. The facilities were excellent, with everything you could hope for. Lovely and quiet, super comfy bed. Nice shower, Quality linen. Lovely staff. The managers were super helpful, especially as I'd had trouble with my car on arrival to Hervey Bay. He gave me his business card and said to phone if I needed anything. His wife was really lovely as well.

Review 118：Scheduled maintenance. Jack hammering all day during final day. Several workers coming into apartment during the day. I was notified about this only after arriving, If I had known prior to paying I would have booked elsewhere. Absolutely hate it when resorts do this and notify customers.

Review 119：Nicely presented, faultless Studio apartment with good views and sea breezes (4th floor) Fully equipped kitchen, PC, free wifi, etc.

Review 120：They gave me a key to a room and when my partner and I walked in it wasn't even clean! Wasn't impresimpressed! Handed the key back and got told that someone else was already in the room! Gave me another room. Was ok but the washing machine stained my white top!! Please check EVERYTHING!!!

Review 127：Amazing modern apartment (It is now called Ocean Resort not Pier). Spacious apartment with balcony and super sea view and pool view. 2 great pools. 2 bathrooms one had a great jacuzzi. Great bar/ restaurant on site. Good cool underground parking. Right beside Urangan pier nice for a walk. Quite a walk into Torquay but easy to park anywhere along coast. A great place to stay in Hervey bay.

Overall the lodging was nice, though the front desk folks could not answer questions or help us out since we booked a place with Pier Resorts ....and we were booked at the Ocean Resort. We were told the poolside room we booked and paid extra for was unavailable. We also paid $185 per night while the sign listed the lodging at $99 per night.
