Reviews for Hotel Carpe Diem
Review 1:when we arrived it wasnt very clear on how to contact the host to let us in as there was no doorbell. however banging on the door worked.
Review 2:We stayed 1 night in the apartment and there was 4 adults and 4 children under 9yrs in our group. The hotel was easy to find, the host was friendly and spoke good english, and the breakfast was nice. The host gave help with how to get to De Haan beech which is lovely and sandy, and the best place to park in Brugge.
Review 3:Place is decorated with tons of antiques. Which is good, but you smell the oldness to them if that makes sense. Reminds me of a place Ann Frank would have hid during the war. One family member swears it was haunted.
Review 4:The hospitality of the owners is top notch. Comfy atmosphere, good company and a darling dog.
Review 5:Conveniently close to the E40 , friendly Owner / Staff , good food , comfortable bed , will use this little Hotel again, thank you ! Nice little Hotel
Review 6:little light in the room where I lived, TV exclusively in Flemish, no satellite TV, towels very worn, nice enough staff in the talks especially one elderly lady, breakfasts vain, it is rather B & B than a hotel
Review 7:Near the Brugge, good location, clean rooms.
Review 8:Dated apartment, some furniture are a bit worn out, third floor apartment with no elevator, stairs are not child friendly. Plain breakfast. I feel like it's a bit overpriced.
Review 9:Friendly owner, rooms are spacious. Free parking provided at the back.
Review 10:- no wifi signal in the 2 bedroom appartment
Review 11:- functional place to stay, close to brugges if you own or rented a car - good breakfast - Only stayed for 1 day for a weekend so can't say much more
Review 12:We loved the sugar-free strawberry jam, croissants and french bread the owner made for breakfast. The restaurant is very pretty & seems to do a lot of evening business, although we didn't eat dinner there. There's also a nice outdoor patio/bar to enjoy.
Review 13:Very friendly staff, comfortable location if you want to visit Brugge or the seaside. Beautiful tearoom for relaxation in the evening. Good quality breakfast, but vegetables for the breakfast would be appreciated.
Review 14:Very welcoming hosts, took an interest in what we were doing and gave appropriate suggestions. Would highly recommend as a good base for visiting Bruges and the area
Review 15:We were in the "house" across the street, which is an odd conversion of the front half of a house for holiday accommodation. Beds were poor, and it was not very clean. The only wardrobe was in the shower room. There was an extra fridge and freezer in the kitchen/diner/living room. The toilet has a pipe in the wall open to the outside. Many other odd features like that. It was ok for a couple of nights but all a bit eccentric to say the least.
Review 16:The hosts of the hotel were very welcoming and provided excellent dinner and breakfasts as well as helpful advice. There is a bus stop right outside with direct access to Brugge. Note however the busses change to hourly night service at 8pm. We were stuck in Brugge for over an hour as we didn't notice this. It is easy to park on the street outside the hotel.
Review 17:Wifi worked fine in bar and resturant area, but I had no signal in my room.
Review 18:There was a warm welcome and helpful staff and owners throughout stay. They found me secure parking for my motorcycle over night. The room was clean and comfortable. The evening meal I had was fantastic. Breakfast was good. It was handy for the Channel tunnel being only an hour away. I would stay again.
Review 19:Large room was enough for 5 people, good communication with staff, comfortable beds with countryside view.
Review 20:Failed to connect to Wi-Fi but that could be me.

Review 50:Need to have a 75cl bottle of wine for Eur.15 - not Eur.22.The TV in room 5 must be 20yrs old! It really does need a flat-screen.
Review 51:Nice patio and excellent beer. Old decor but all in keeping - In likedit. Very good food. Attentive owner/chef.
Review 52:It has nothing to do with Carpe Diem - but I didn't like the traffic, road builders etc.
Review 53:It was a pit stop on my way to England - nice town, quiet, interesting graveyard - the hotel was just a bed for a night - in and out near the motorway
Review 54:Nothing

Review 58:It's little old-fashioned and it could do with some updating. You need a car to get to Jabbeke, around 10km from Brugge.
Review 59:We stayed at the appartment. It was great value for money. Very spacious (a double bed and a single bed in one room. A double bed and 2 single ones in the other. A living room and a bathroom). Great for families with children. The breakfast was nice and copious.
Review 60:The Double bed in our room could do with changing, past it's sell by date.
Review 61:It's a good location and easy to get to from the motorway ideal if you want to go exploring local city's . The food in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was ample we would definitely stay again.

Review 63:Convienient location near motorway. Breakfast
Review 64:The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays which is when we arrived so I hadto phone the Hotel number for someone to let us into the Hotel whichlooked abandoned and empty. The person who let us in made us coffeewhich we had in our rooms but there was no opportunity to relax in thebar or restaurant in a convivial atmosphere.
Review 65:Personal service and good breakfast.
Review 66:Room has character but mattress, towels need update. Coffee at breakfastso so. Location far so having a car is recommended.
Review 67:The 6 bed unit is perfect for a large family on an overnight stay.Breakfast good pastries, bread and cheese. Nice quiet village 15 to 20minute drive to Bruges.
Review 68:The owners were very welcoming , the food was great and plenty of it ! Very comfy bed !
