Reviews for Kirkit Pension
Review 1:Just not my style of place, I don't like to feel like I am staying at someone's house when it is supposed to be a hotel. I didn't like the shower in the bathroom.
Review 2:Staff were really helpful with my questions.
Review 3:The room was large and comfortable. The Courtyard brimmed with old world charm. And, breakfast with Ahmet and Osmond was always an enjoyable way to start the day!
Review 4:The pension has lots of charm. The people who work ther are very friendly and helpful. Avanos is a nice, quiet town but close to everything. Highly recommended.
Review 5:The facilities for handicapped people are not so good
Review 6:The staff The location The place indeed The breakfast... The cave they use like restaurant... You really love this place
Review 7:I loved this place and highly recommend it, but here are potential disadvantages: Some of the rooms are very very small. Fine for young people, but something to consider. I would recommend reserving the "three bed" rooms. Also, some of the rooms are up a few flights of old stairs...great for agile guests, but might be a bit much for someone over 80 years old. The bathrooms are fine, but not fancy. It's an old building. That is the charm, and that is the nature of it. The meals are served some parts of the year in an underground cave. This is a plus if you like caves, as I do. My mother prefers upper areas.
Review 8:Kirkit is a place you will remember for a long time. There are aspects of it that are magical. I was enchanted by the superb live music played every night during dinner. It was by far the best music I heard in Turkey. The food was excellent and prolific. The staff were helpful and friendly and very intersting. The other guests were themsevles fascinating. The decor is antique and fanstastic. Our room had a wonderful view of the roofs, river and town. The beds were comfortable and clean. It was extremely easy to get help setting up transportation and guides.
Review 9:Lovely feel, great gypsy music on two of the evenings we were there. Helpful & nice staff.
Review 10:No dislikes at all. Those expecting muslim teetotalers might bedisappointed.
Review 11:Superbe staff in a well-restored house. Multi-lingual , sophisticated(but local) owners at every meal. Informal jam sessions--in "oldtime Cappodician music" resembled authentic American jazz--if ithad zithers, pottery drums , tamborines , and clipped quarter -tonevocals. Superbe referrals with quality control ( because the owners, unlike tourists, are repeat customers.)
Review 12:Beautiful pansion, very Nice staff, amazing chef (breakfast and dinner). Traditionnal music some nights. Various possibility for hikes or horseriding organized by the tourist agency runned by the same staff.
Review 13:Very expensive for a backpacker.
Review 14:Beautiful old building with many of excursions available. Excellent breakfast with many homemade spreads from the region.
Review 15:A hotel with a lot of charm, very nice people who run it. Away from the massive crowds. Our room on the 2nd floor had a view onto the river and the hills opposite, early in the morning you could see the balloons taking off.
Review 16:The muezzin wakes you up very early
Review 17:Big comfortable room and bed big clean shower and bath English andFrench spoken nice, reasonable breakfast
Review 18:the room was dusty, cold and small. the breakfast was just butter, jam, olive and cheese.
Review 19:Staff was good. location was ok.
