Review 1：It's a big hostel and it feels like a lot of people go there to party. If you want to have a nice night sleep, you won't. It's music all night.
Review 2：The common areas are nice. The dorms are ok, not super clean. The staff is nice and will help you with what you need. It's nice that breakfast is included.
Review 3：The music was a little loud but usually was turned off at "reasonable" hr. Had to bring a lock for the locker.And I did not get the bottom bunk I requested over a month in advance. The line to check in was long and took a long time. More of a younger 18-30ish crowd.
Review 4：The place has an excellent vibe, location and bar/restaurant all on the water in the middle of town. Even had a balcony for the room and only 4 people shared the bathroom versus the whole place sharing one. The staff was fantastic!
Review 5：My dorm bed had bedbugs! I was really itchy and when I realized what it was after googling and finding them on my bed (so not just sandflies) I went to talk with the staff. They moved us to a private room and washed all my clothes as compensation and we had no problems there. However, one staff member said bedbugs are a common problem with the wooden cubicle frames in their dorm so I don't know if they have tried to clean them away properly! So if you go here at least ask for a dorm room with concrete cubicles (I heard they have some) or a private room. Common kitchen is nearly unusable for actual cooking (dirty, poorly equipped and low gas pressure in the stove). Go to a restaurant.

Review 13：The shared bathroom was quite far away from our room which was inconvenient and the toilets downstairs were dark and dirty. Also the wifi wasn't great but that's expected in a big hostel.
Review 14：We had a private double room. The air con was amazing, the hostel was really clean and nicely designed. One of the best hostels we've ever stayed in. The location was good, not right in the middle of everything but still relatively close.

Review 18：The location was great. Just a few minutes to all the lanchas to get to the other island. This hostel is the best I have stayed in. I was in a 6bed female dorm which was comfortable and had lockers for personal stuff. I have recommended it many times since. I am an older traveller but the other younger travelers were great company and respectful of other guests. Not the usual party hostel while I was there.
Review 19：Quite pricey, especially the bar and restaurant. Be aware that its a part hostel so you will not get much sleep! Shared an 8 bed dorm with 6 guys with only one toilet and shower- I feel the cleaning could have been more thorough/ regular

Review 23：Horrible - They had an electronic party that night at the Hostel. 2 (and 3) guys came in our room (6 beds) and were sniffing (probably Cocaine) in the bathroom every hour from 12.00am to 4.00am. They woke us up every time. I went down at 4ham to advise the staff but the office was closed. I was the only girl in the room, next morning i had thoughts on how dangerous that could be. 1 of them slept in the empty bed and was not checked in (was told the next morning). He was itching his body to bleeding around 6am. I left immediately. Go to Bambuda Hostel on Isla Solarte, much better vibe!!!

Review 28：Very friendly staff, good food and great atmosphere at the place. Before going to Bocas i was told not to have too high expectations, but when i arrived i was quite surprised (in a positive sense). They have a good selection of activities that you can do during your stay. Couldn't be more grateful especially for the information about Bocas Dive Center that they recommended. The hostel can be noisy in the evenings - however I didn't have any problems falling asleep;-) will surely get back to Selina if i get a chance to return to Bocas.
Review 29：I had to move rooms because there was water leacking from the ceiling onto my bed. But I found out there are many leaks in other rooms. The staff is temporary and not helpful, they are there to party (but the British girl in the recepetion, she was actually helpful). It is a hostel for teenagers, with no noise corfew, they have DJ's on once a week with loud music until 4am. Breakfast is the same every day and not tasty.

Girl that did the check-in was very friendly, but the one that was there before when I left my luggage, couldn't even bother to speak or smile. Just pointed at the check-in time, very unfriendly, not welcoming at all. If I hadn't booked in advance I would probably have looked for another hostel after that first impression. Luggage storage isn't guarded, anyone can walk in and out and take stuff. Tours they offer are expensive, better to book the same thing in town.

Review 37：Breakfast is the same stuff everyday. Only coffee and tea is included and if you don't drink them they have nothing for you. Be prepared to pay for tap water. Overall the place is great for young single party people who like to spend nights out. For us, wanting to sleep at night, all the loud music until 4 am was a bit too much. Also, we didn't have any kind of hanger in our room to dry our towels or wet clothes. A big minus for having to put all our clothes on the floor.

Review 47：You might wanna go there if you wanna party because it gets quite noisy at night, since there is a bar in the hostel and another one next to the hostel. We had a private room with a shared bathroom. The room was VERY small (a double bed and that's it). Employees were nice but not very helpful.

Review 51：During our first day at the hostel one of our beds in the 12-person dorm was given away, twice. The staff was so apologetic that they moved us to a private room for the same cost of the dorm. They even allowed us to stay in the private room for three additional nights at the reduced cost. Overall the staff was incredibly friendly and the location (right on the water) was hard to beat.
Review 52：We stayed in the "deluxe" room for two nights. And deluxe is a very strong word for the room: -the private balcony has to be shared with the entire hostel as it is just a part of the common terrace. -the only window is facing directly the terrace. So if you don't want to have the entire hostel looking on your bed, you have to leave the curtains closed all day which is not the idea of having a window. -pretty lound till late in the night as the room is directly above the ever crowded bar and directly next to the common terrace. Of course if you book a room in a hostel you expect some people there, but what disappointed me is the huge price difference to the other rooms. The "deluxe room" is just not worth the money.

Review 57：Really good hostel if you're travelling on your own. It's a sociable hostel so it's easy to meet people. There was a club night on the Saturday when I stayed and it was decent. Also great location and you can get boat taxis from the hostel's own pier. There's also a tourism office in there to help you plan your days and they're super helpful.

Review 60：Breakfast was chaotic and clear instructions were never given as to what the procedure was. It seemed as though the kitchen could not turn around the food quickly enough and coffee would run out frequently, causing a line of travelers by the bar. You could be waiting for your food to be served for a long time, and your breakfasts would vary each day (by accident). We asked the young woman in charge on a particularly day why each of us had received different breakfasts and she replied in an irritated tone that one of us had "lucked out". When booking a room, there was no explanation as to what type of breakfast you would have, or what the other room options were. The reception was not always covered, so if you needed to speak with someone during the day, there were times when the office was empty for up to an hour. Excursions sold by the hostel were not explained thoroughly, so we had no idea how much lunch would cost, that we would need to walk for over 30 minutes through nearly knee-deep mud to get to the bat cave, etc. so expectations were never set correctly... the more information, the better, to avoid surprises or disappointment. We had Toni as our guide for several days in a row - he was a blast. The drinks at the bar were pricier than in other bars downtown - ideally they should be the same to entice people to get drinks on the property. The first 2 days of our stay, our 4-bed room's floor and bathroom were never cleaned, so the bin was beginning to overflow.
Review 61：The common area where the lounge, bar area, restaurant, etc. are is great. The property is painted in lovely, bright colors that really help the overall impression of the place.
