Review 1：Very friendly,helpful owners.Located about 300 yards up the hill is a most delightful typical old Portuguese town, which you must look at. It is all clean and tidy,for the most part restored to it's original condition. The restaurants there are much more interesting than the standard tourist type ones situated in the streets around the hotel.

Review 3：Specious, clean, air-conditioned and comfortable room with nice view to a dam. Very close to historical centre. More than sufficient just for oversleep. Provided breakfast was very nice.

Review 4：The town is extremely boring, though make sure you check out the spectacular gorges of the Douro. The lighting is of the confronting white fluoro type throughout . .. not the best effect if you're on your honeymoon. To be fair to this hotel this problem is quite widespread in Portugal and to some extent in Spain.

Review 5：The management is extremely helpful and friendly. The room was warm and the water hot. The bathroom is a little tired but functions well enough. The bed was confortble although again no duvet, just blankets. There was a big balcony and a bit of a view. A pity about the lighting . . .

Review 6：The staff was very kind, good breakfast as well. It is located in the city center so parking may be a problem sometimes, but as we went for Christmas it was fine.

Review 7：The initial external apearance, but don't let this put you off. However if it's a choice of the street side or the side facing the river do ask for a room facing the river.

Review 8：The breakfast was very good for an economy hotel and certainly better than 2 of the higher cost hotels we stayed at during our journey. The rooms were very clean and the owners helpful.

Review 9：There were a bunch of noisy guys partying on street outside hotel and throwing fireworks until about 2am on the Saturday night. Must have been a bachelor night out. Intermittent problems with WiFi that owner was unable to fix.

Review 10：Cleanliness and great breakfast. Room was very well furnished and very comfortable,. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Great shopping and very reasonable prices attracted many busloads of Spaniards on Saturday.

In my opinion the room should not be sold to anyone. Poor safety with step-up in corridor.
