Review 1：Not much:- The room was much dearer than all the other similar small retreats we stayed at with the same facilities. The little bar didn't open according to its timetable but not a big deal.

Review 3：Nothing wrong at accommodation , though we were dubious on turn off into the driveway as not much curb appeal until you are at the apartments and drive down the coast from Lisbon not very interesting so we'd had an uninspiring start - however nice spots start from here.

Review 8：We loved the beautiful setting high above the Mira River--so peaceful. The staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and went until the decent late morning hour of 11:30. We took a canoe trip on the Mira River which was a delight!

Review 9：We enjoyed most the peaceful location and view from the pool down to the river. The swimming pool and the outdoor hot water tub and breakfast were also great. The stuff was very friendly and helpful to organize activities like horseback riding.

It would have been much better if there was a restaurant situated within the grounds, as there is only a very limited snack bar to get food, without having to drive into the nearest village. As the place is promoted as a kind of retreat and a place to relax fully, I would have expected to see something more than frozen pizzas and sandwiches on the menu.

Review 22：It would have been perfect if the small bar/restaurant were open (it opens at the start of July). The Herdade is a little way from the town so helpful to have your own wheels to get in for food.

Review 23：Stunning location, lots to do on site- including DVD library, yoga, massages and a lovely infinity pool with a stunning view. They have a few goats (behind a fence) and chickens (with chicks!) who we loved watching pottering about among the orange trees. A real oasis of calm.

Beautiful landscapes and location is close from a section of the rota vicentina if you want to have a walk along the beautiful coast. Staff was very helpful, they advised us good restaurants and nice activities.
