Review 1：Unfortunately the teenagers in the island have taken the beach in front of the hotel as their party ground, expect some sleepless nights if you are in sea view rooms.
Review 2：Fine host, structure and position, the breakfast that could be a bit more varied if one stays more then few days.
Review 3：Wifi on the island in general is not great. Don't expect to be able to get high quality wifi anywhere on the island.
Review 4：Poussada Ancoradouro is a very sunny house located right on the beach. Not all the staff have English but this does not impact on their ability to accommodate you. I came with very challenging needs with regards to food for breakfast and one of the staff members, who has fluent English brought me on a tour of the local village in search of food that I could eat for breakfast. The breakfast there is like a banquet and I was treated like a queen. I would highly recommend this poussada. Happy New Year and best of luck with the future
Review 5：Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We checked into the hotel before our room was ready and they took our bags and let us have showers as we didn't have a great stay the night before. We went back an hour later to check in and they had brought our bags into our room for us and asked if there was anything we needed. The woman who was at the front desk was so welcoming. We told her about a painting that we had with us and how special it was and she happily took it and left it behind the desk before we could check in so it wouldn't get ruined. You could imagine how upset we were when we realized we had left the painting behind when we left early the next morning. As we were in transit we could not call and ask about the painting and to our relief, meme had took the painting and put it in safe keeping for us. She was kind enough to mail the painting to us in Canada. The location is also right on the beach with restaurants right beside it. It was such a great value for our money. Would recommend it to anyone!

Review 7：Meme (the owner) is absolutely fantastic! She will do everything to make you happy! The location is amazing, the breakfast real brazilian, and our room was very comfortable! The Pousada is close to the village and yet a bit outside so you can enjoy both the fuzz and the quietness! Don't search any longer, you just found the perfect place to stay at Ilha Grande!
Review 8：- very bad isolation of rooms (we could hear our kids giggling in the other room - which of course could also be considered positive if you want to control your kids) - very small double beds (1m60) - I am a light freak, as such the neon kind of light in our room was a very unpleasant experience (we spent half a day in our room because of bad weather) - the shower in one of the two rooms hardly gave warm water
Review 9：- very good location on the beach, near two nice places on the beach to eat - clean rooms (we had the two rooms on the ground floor with sea view) - very nice staff, always happy to assist with trip organisation (one staff member speaks english) - we forgot our credit card and the staff sent it to our place in Rio - nice breakfast, but don't expect anything special
Review 10：Really nice and friendly staff. Even though they were not able (of course) to speak good english, they tried everything to give us a nice stay. Really nice breakfast, free coffee in the afternoon and always someone sitting at the 'frontdesk'. The only entrance is just via beach. Totally awesome!

Review 12：Amazing location on the beach. Romulo at the front desk was really nice and helpful, he showed us where to go and how to get there. Breakfast was good, pretty standard for Brazil bur good selection and good quality. Wifi was good considering the island location.
Review 13：Minor quibbles: the wifi signal could only be received close to the door when in our room. The internet connection was a bit flaky at one or two times (this is probably true for the whole island).
Review 14：This pousada (B&B) is perfectly located on the beach, just outside the busier part of Abraão. The place is well maintained, clean, with a nice front garden to sit in and more than sufficient space in the room. All in all we had a great stay in Ilha Grande and this pousada.

Review 18：The pousada has a nice location, just in front of the beach, around 500 meters from de principal debarcation, and restaurants, so it's really calm. Its very close to the path to go to the lopes mendes beach where you can relax and surf. The service at the pousada is really good with a standard breakfast. You have the possibility to take a shower when your departure is late and your check out already done, good to know when you would like to enjoy the beach until the last minute! Special thanks to Romuald for the perfect reception and the help to print our bus tickets.
Review 19：The bed was too small for us. It is very wet island so obviously everything gets bit moldy. We asked for change of courtains and there was no problem, the staff was absolutelly happy to help us with everything.
Review 20：Perfectly helpfull staff, ideal quite location on the beach, great service. You can borrow beach chair or some games, movies, books, beach towels... I would come back! I felt like home.

Review 26：The rooms are very nice and clean, with air conditioning. The breakfast is delicious and the hosts very welcoming. They provide a porter to carry your luggage from/to the port pier. The hotel area is a quiet one, with a few great restaurants around.

The staff were so friendly, kind & helpful & we felt completely at home. They know the island very well & helped us plan our days with ease. Every restaurant & beach they recommended became firm favourites of ours. We had a side room which was spotless, well looked after, spacious & comfortable. The sheets & towels were changed regularly & the room cleaned daily. Breakfast was delicious, a huge choice of fresh fruit, breads, ham, cheese, eggs, cereal, cake & fresh juices - a great start to each day. The staff provide a laundry service for a small fee - our clothes arrived back within a day & we had no complaints at all - worth using over the laundrettes in town! Overall a beautiful Pousada on a beautiful Island & we really could not ave hoped for more!

Review 38：Great location,5 minute walk from the village center while being more quiet at night time, avoiding the noise. We stayed in a room with the sea view and it was great to open the window to the beautiful sunrise every morning. The breakfast was also rich and satisfying. I am personally grateful for the attention we received from Dona Ana who tried to take care of us in every way she could. From our transfers to our late afternoon hikes, she ensured we were safe and treated fairly. The rooms have basic furniture like the rest of the island but they are very well maintained and extremely clean. I'd definitely recommend this place.

We lost our baggage travelling to Brazil so we had little clothing with us. They were so nice at the pousada, they washed our clothes for us! Review 108：The journey of or group (4 young people) through Brazil ended with a 6 day stay in this pousada. Memé and the team of the pousada made our last days on the Ilha Grande amazing. They are very friendly and help with organizing trips and they gave great tips who and where to relax. The pousada itself is a nice building. It is not far away from the center of the main village of the city and this is a big advantage in my eyes! You have a relaxed atmosphere but you do not have to walk far until you reach the best restaurants, bars, agencies etc. of the island.
Review 109：the breakfast was the best one offered during our entire trip! fresh fruits, bread, cake, juices, etc! the pousada is located directly on the beach, 7 minutes of walking from the "harbour". Meme explained everthing to us and was very helpful! we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

Review 111：Stayed there last weekrend, I'm Irish and my boyfriend is English. we thought it was great. Excellent value for money and the Poussada is right on the beach which was lovely. Very close to the main town but a little quieter than being right in the centre. Meme, the woman in charge is amazing, really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great, lots of fruit, bread, muesli, meat and cheeses. Can't recommend this place highly enough. We stayed in a beach front room which was R$150 per night and well worth it. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Review 112：It is just outside Abrao center, a 10 minute walk by road or 5 minute walk on the beach (you have to pass a small river though). Maybe I would have preferred a pousada in the center but from the other side this location was also more quite. So not really a down side.

Nice rooms with proper airco and shower, good breakfast with many different kinds of fresh fruit. Overall very good value for money! I would recommend this one to anyone coming to this wonderfull island.
