Reviews for Hotel Graham Villahermosa
Review 1:We chose the hotel for the pool we ve seen on the websites pictures but after having done the checking in : bad surprise... we discovered that the pool was in renovation since a few months and will not be ready until April. We felt a bit cheated on and the hotel did not want to pay us back as we said that the place did not coincidate with the description we had on the web when we made our reservation the same day. In fact, the hotel is used to get complaints from their customers about that missing pool as they offer a meal to compensate. Well it is nice but why keeping communicatng on a pool which was out of service during all that months... In addition to that, the common areas of the hotel look like a old soviet era hotel, quite rusty with a dangerous and out of age elevator. Under the bed sheet, the matress cover was very dirty... The breakfast was, up to now after dozens of hotels, the worst and poorest we ever had in Mexico.
Review 2:Matresses are nice and firm with good pilows. The jr suite room was nice, spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view on the laguna. Very kind and efficient staff (reception and bell boy).
Review 3:Hotel-sponsored construction (hammering, yelling, with pizza and beer) began at 2 A.M! and staff was surprised we were angry. Refused to stop the work, begrudgingly offered a replacement room. Our complimentary breakfast was only offered to two of us, NOT our third traveler, although we had paid for three beds! Poor location, total Inexperience with non-Mexican travelers.
Review 4:Pool area out of service, no wi-fi in room, far from centre but taxi very cheap 30 pesos.
Review 5:Great hotel located on the lagood. Frienfly, clean, service awesome.close to la Vente park, rooms modern and large.
Review 6:The bathroom smelled a lot, so I needed to close the door in the night. If you go to the hotel by car is a little bit confusing.
Review 7:Great view of the "Lago de las Ilusiones", great sunrises, the staff was really nice with me. You have near a supermarket and a place to dine.
Review 8:Some hooks in the bathroom would be nice to have. There was not a single one! Wifi: while it was good on the penthouse/5th floor, it was very flaky on the 2nd floor The steaks we had had the same consistency as shoe leather, and the chips were not top-notch. But the guacamole, plantains and pico de gallo were very good. While there was good signage from the highway to near the hotel, incredibly, the hotel itself had no sign from the street, as the only sign on the roof was visible from the water side, but not the street side. We had to ask to be sure we were at the right destination.
Review 9:The staff were simply wonderful!! I called a couple of days earlier to request a change and spoke to Ms Lubia Robles who was much more than helpful and very accommodating. On checking in, we were received by Ester at the reception who was very welcoming, had great initiative and very efficiently flexed things to suit us, as we had a dawn departure at the end of our stay. The bellboy (Elihid??), was also very helpful. All the staff we encountered had a very positive attitude. Rooms were generous and large enough to have a mini dance-floor! :)
Review 10:Great hospitaility-used the kitchen almost every meal.
Review 11:swimming pool was closed, breakfast buffet was disappointing on our stay
Review 12:good location near centre of town, nice view from room
Review 13:Confortable Staff fríe doy Good locación Good prive Excelente food Very nice town
Review 14:Here are some drawbacks at this hotel...1)The internet reception is weak in some areas. The staff was very accommodating at trying to help obtain internet service. The best reception areas are on the forth and Penthouse floor. The second and third floor have some weak reception areas. 2) During heavy rains some water might enter the room thru the patio windows. But just having a patio is well worth it. Besides they come and mop and dry it up as soon as you call.3) Parking is limited and tight at the front of the hotel, BUT there are parking areas that are fenced in and the staff will gladly help you.
Review 15:What a pleasure it was to stay at this hotel, I have traveled to many places and have stayed at some of the fanciest and best hotels around, yet sometimes fancy and best cant compare to a quaint and an honestly gratifying stay. When I arrived in Villahermosa I was staying at a hotel (which will remain nameless) with a big name, a big pool and a big bill. So I started shopping around for something a bit more affordable. I looked around Villahermosa for hours (which is a pain in the behind to drive around in) and finally came to the end of this street with a big lightly faded paint job (probably from the sun). I was hesitant at first to simply look at the hotel then I decided to walk in and just check out the place. From the beginning of my stay I was greeted by a wonderful and helpful receptionist. I asked if I could see a room and she gladly said "Si Senior" he called the bell boy and gave him a key to the room. The reception area was nicely decorated a couple of comfortable sofas against a big glass window overlooked the pool area, the reception room was a bit warm for my liking but then again it is Villahermosa MX. . There is a restaurant on site which is also reasonable and some selections are delicious. So we walk over to the elevator which is a bit small and went to the second floor. The bell boy was very hospitable and opened the door for me, I was simply amazed by the size of the room. The room was clean and smelled fresh, There was a large LED T.V and big spacious closets. The air conditioning which is controlled by remote was cold and comfortable. The restrooms were large and have a big shower area, and the water pressure is wonderful. The blinds were open and I could see that the manicured pool and sitting areas were well maintained by the staff. I opened the sliding glass door and was treated to a wonderful balcony that overlooked the pool and the lake (which at sunset looks amazing). So I was sold from that moment...
Review 16:Rooms were large, clean, and tastefully decorated, many with beautiful views of the lake. Staff were helpful and Oscar Graham (the owner) was on location to attend to the guests. Breakfast buffet was full of fresh, delicious, home-cooked food.
Review 17:We did not like the receptionist asking if we wanted King beds, without mentioning the higher cost which was $15.00 more than what we were quoted on Booking.com. The bathroom had a terrible sewage smell and the nice big King- sized bed was very uncomfortable and soft on one side.
Review 18:We liked the great view of the lagoon from our balcony, the use of the pool, the nice large room and quiet a/c. An excellent buffet breakfast was included in a pleasant dining room with good service and was included with room cost.
Review 19:- internet was not working at all - everything was very dirty - the bathroom was all in mould, seriosly it was scary to touch anything... - there where holes in the bathroom clogged with toilet paper (sic!) - credit card terminal did not work, had to pay in cash (unplanned) - it is located next to water so prepare for the smell - apart from fruits and coffee the breakfast was uneatable
Review 20:- cannot think of anything good in that place...
Review 21:If you're in the end rooms on the top floor, you hear the lift motor as well as the traffic from the main road. The 2cm gap under the door did little to keep the noise out. The shower was the wetroom type but there isn't enough dip to the drain and water leaked out of the bathroom, across the bedroom floor.
Review 22:Buffet breakfast didn't look promising but tasted really good. Quirky design features, plenty of space in bathroom for washbag etc. View over lake.
Review 23:Had abandoned feel to the rest of the hotel. Pool was not inviting, garden seems uncared for, meals offered were uninteresting, architecture nothing to write home about. Didn't seem to take full advantage of the fact that it is right next to a lake.
Review 24:Big spacious rooms with nice hard mattress. Bedrooms were clean.
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:When I arrived having lost my passport, the staff could not do enough toassist. Despite some language barriers they were so wonderful. The hotelwas simple but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great too.
Review 27:Beds were very uncomfortable and the pool/hot tub were not usable
Review 28:Great customer service and friendly staff
Review 29:beds were extremely hard
Review 30:view was spectacular; staff was extremely friendly, efficient and helpful.

Review 37:Un poco complicado para llegar.
Review 38:Cerca del lago, silencioso, desayuno
Review 39:hotel facilities already worn-out somewhat. some fungus on the bathroom ceiling. too pricy
