Review 1：Security, no heating, no noise isolation No Security because you're placed in a building apart from the main one where everyone can enter and is completely abandoned. The lights in the corridor barely work and the heating also doesn't work so they give you a small portable heating that barely heats the room and you can ear every noise in the building (even the woman in the next room in the toilet). To sum up, it looked like a hunted house.

Review 3：The hostel it's old and need of paint, you could hear people walking on the corridor all night and strong light coming true to the room. The room was very poorly cleaned full of hair everywhere old sheets and blankets not the warmest to sleep in either. Breakfast was very basic and you have to wash everything after the meal which I think should be advertised.

Review 6：Lots and lots of things to do in this hostel. A common room with tv and games. And a massive kitchen that you can use. The facilities were really really good. As well as cheap snacks and drinks from the bar.

Review 23：Hostel Geres has a panoramic setting within the national park. It has a beautiful, spacious sun terrace with tables, chairs and comfy sofas, and festoon lighting by night. The terrace always seems to get the sun and you can see all the way up and down the valley. There's also a bright dining area, comfy living room, well-equipped kitchen and lots of clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Above all, the place is so cheap! We've travelled about in hostels a lot and we couldn't quite believe how nice this place was for the money! I don't understand why people still stay in hotels!

The place itself its greatly located in the Geres Village, close to shops as well as entertainment and restaurants, all surrounded by the Mountain with great places to visit. I particularly liked the varied water-falls scattered throughout the Geres mountain. Hostel Geres highly recomended.

Review 38：Hostel Geres is a nice enough place to stay. I was there for photography, so left early in the morning, and missed some breakfasts...I have to say the coffee was pretty good though. As far as value for money, I'm not sure. I probably could have had a similar stay for a better price, somewhere else, as it was out of season. I travelled in late November, and had a double to myself, so paid a bit more.

Review 44：All places in the hostel were clean, you can use fully equipped kitchen and large shared areas (rest area and dinning room with many tables). Large terrace with beautiful view, smaller bit comfortable room and parking spots directly in front of the hostel has to be mentioned as well. It is lovely place where to stay and we were absolutely satisfied there.

The scenery is fantastic. Very close to Vila do Gerês (less than 5 min walk). Great advantage of having included, although simple, a very good quality breakfast.

Review 48：An extremly awful hard smell in the room. It had probably been recently painted. But, under my point of view, It shouldn't have been offered to anybody. It was really difficult to breath and not cough. Moreover they should think of changing the matress. You could perfectly notice were the springs were and try to avoid them.

Review 53：My girlfriend and I were planning on staying at Hostel Geres for two nights. We ended up staying for five nights due to the comfort of the hostel, the hospitality of the owners Joao and Susana, and the right price. It was refreshing to stay in a hostel where the owner was so eager to help, and so knowledgeable about the area. I never felt so at home while traveling.
Review 54：There was no reservation when I got there and we were put in a room that didn't seem ready, there was a lot of dust in the bed clothes and there were several bugs, including a sizable spider (which I took to be a pet...since it looked well fed).

Review 104：This place is awesome! The guy who runs it, Joao is super helpful and knows the area very well. it was always very clean and tidy in the common areas. Definitely more peaceful and relaxing than a normal hostel but with enough common areas to meet lots of people! I'll definietly return here on my next trip to Portugal.
Review 105：The staff was wonderful and helpful, even though the staff only consisted of two people but they were awesome. They helped us get around town and even did our laundry for us (folded and everything!). Very highly recommended. The rooms were cute and clean, breakfast was simple but good, and the common areas were nice too. Really enjoyed our stay!
Review 106：The perfect location to do a lot of hiking, cycling, all the things you do in a national park. Great terrace and a lot of space for cooking, relaxing and exchanging with other people. Nice view over the valley from the terrace and the rooms. The owners are very friendly, helpfull and interested in all kind of exchange or tips (They started the hostel a couple of weeks ago, so some things are still in progress) but its worth to go there and have a good time.
