Reviews for Hotel Jardim

Review 1:The staff spoke no English nor could they answer emails in English when I requested specific information. Additionally, it could have been cleaner.

Review 2:It was good value for the money.

Review 3:This is an old tired hotel badly in need of a deep clean. My visit in September was like visiting a seaside hotel that had been closed for the winter.

Review 4:Staff a bit indifferent but might be down to lack of English spoken. Breakfast was very basic. A bit expensive by comparison with Spanish Hotels of similar standard.

Review 5:Easy to find location on outskirts of town of Elvas. Dinner excellent with friendly waiter.

Review 6:The WIFI was unusable! Our room was next to reception and so the signal should have been strong. However none of our devices would connect during our 2 day stay. The breakfast was very poor. All guests are squeezed into a very small room, although there was a very large empty restaurant next door. The only food available was bread with jams or cheese and ham. The only yoghurts were strawberry, which my wife and I both dislike. There was fruit available, but that was not very fresh.

Review 7:The position of the hotel was easy to find, but is was a fair way out of the city. However parking in or around the city was no problem. We enjoyed using the pool after walking around seeing the historical sights. Its position for Elvas, Campo Maior and other historical towns was very good.

Review 8:1. It took us 20 min to find someone at the reception to check-in although we arrived at 18:302. Included breakfast is absolutely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel 3. Taking shower is like playing a Russian roulette - you never know if the water gets hot or freezing. Maybe it's a water mixer issue or a problem with a proper water pressure in the system 4. No restaurants in a walking distance. So we had to go to the hotel restaurant, which was a decent one for food quality but rather expensive for a country-side location OVERALL - price-quality ratio is pretty low

Review 9:Free parking. Good wi-fi. Spacious room

Review 10:Booked and paid a month in advance. When we arrived hotel had no record of booking and at breakfast aggressively demanded payment

Review 11:Room was good and outside of hotel very attractive. Restaurant area nice looking too.

Review 12:The standard room is awful and very small compared to the suite so it should be a lot cheaper. The Wi-Fi signal was very weak inside the room. The breakfast is really poor, specially considering it is a 4 stars hotel. The entire hotel seems to have stopped during the 80's and even then 4 stars was a bit too much to rate it.

Review 13:The bed was comfortable and the hotel is located in a quiet area.

Review 14:Easy access ideal for overnight stay when on the way from Spain to Portugal

Review 15:Beds

Review 16:Food and staff

Review 17:nice location, nice facilities, cosy restoran and bar

Review 18:Good halfway stopover evening meal excellent stayed befor will stop again.

Review 19:Very noisy at night. Sleep not an option. Very small bathroom, showering was a challenge. Staff were civil but not friendly or helpful.

Review 20:Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Pleasant room. Good location.

Review 21:Probably the loudest vacuum cleaner I have ever heard!

Review 22:The hotel is easy to find with plenty of parking. Rooms were a good size and the bed comfortable. Nice bar area and very good restaurant with plenty of choice. Staff friendly and helpful. The swimming pool looked inviting but it was the end of October and I wasn't brave enough to try it.

Review 23:When I looked this hotel up on booking.com it stated it accepted dogs.Only on the confirmation did it say that dogs were not allowed in thehotel and could be housed in a kennel. This is not accepting dogs.

Review 24:Very nice room. Good air conditioning Very nice outside eating area. .

Review 25:It was very easy to find on the main road in from Badajoz, it was only a mile from Elvas city gates, the staff spoke English for the most part, it was clean & relaxed.

Review 26:Bit of a lack of hot water in the bathroom; would be a problem in the winter!

Review 27:Great location for stop-over en route to the Algarve. So clean and very comfortable - we look forward to staying again in the future. Restaurant FAB. Easy, free parking. Pub, swimming pool.. on site. Lovely!
