Reviews for Hotel S. Bento Da Porta Aberta
Review 1:Bad TV remote control. Very hard to change TV channels. It's well known problem when we asked about it.
Review 2:Top modern facilities. Good location: in front of the S. Bento church. Very confortable and clean. Good breakfast.
Review 3:Nothing at all. Obrigado.
Review 4:Everthing. Honestly very proud as Portuguese to find a place like this in Portugal. That's the way we do business when aiming bigger goals. Excellent service, a good mattress, clean, sharp, good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. That's what makes the diference specially when the prices are affordable. Great !
Review 5:During the Week ends the are is very busy due to the religious attractions facing the hotel. It is not a negative point but on Sundays it's better to be somewhere else
Review 6:Locariam, cleaniness, Staff very professional and kind, very nice room excellent food. A great experience!

Review 8:This hotel is located in the nature, the staaf is very politie and helpfull
Review 9:Being woken up in the early hours (about 4am) of the morning by a large group waiting for a coach outside our window. Plus they did not even consider being quiet in consideration of others. The hotel staff could at least told them to be quiet. Did not know that it was such a religious location by the Monastery.
Review 10:Lovely views and location, good bed and a good choice at breakfast. Dinner adequate, really expected better for a 4 star hotel.
Review 11:Rather hard beds, but large and comfortable.
Review 12:Very good place to stay, with view over the lake and the mountains, and on the church of S. Bento. Very spacious rooms, clean bathroom, very quiet and well isolated. Nice terrace, good bar. Excellent breakfast and good meals. A tip: do a daytrip in the mountains with a jeep of Selvagem Adventure, ask for Carlos!
Review 13:Location is off putting....did not know that the hotel is right acrossthe street from a huge big church which is a pilgrimage site. Don'tarrive like I did at 4pm on a Sunday! OMG....thousands of people, cars, tour buses everywhere....couldn't drive through because of thepeople on the street, etc. I thought I was coming to a spot in thenational park system....to be with trees and nature, peace, quiet, tranquility. Also...hotel was almost empty....was told only 4 roomsoccupied, of 38, but they put all of us together...same wing, so wecould hear each other talk and slam doors, etc. There are 3 floors and12 units per floor...WHY Do that???? I had asked for a quiet room...theyassured me....No problem, then put me right next to someone, and thennext day added a couple on the other side of me, and another two couplesacross the hall...one of whom had snuck in a DOG..which I heard barkingseveral times. Oh well.
Review 14:The hotel was very nice...but it's location was not what I hadexpected when I was looking for a place in the National Park. Breakfastwas good; ambience inside is nice; good facilities...but....
Review 15:The location is very close to some spectacular mountains - some superb walking can be found in the local area. The meals served in the resturant were oustanding in every respect - presentation, choice, taste and value - indeed much better than the local resturants.
Review 16:We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It has old world charm from the outside and has been tastefully refinished on the inside. Our room was on the 3rd floor (top floor) and had “new” everything. The bed (a “real” king size bed – not two singles squished together) was one of the best ones we slept on in Portugal (this was hotel number 8 for us on a 3 weeklong trip). Breakfast was continental style and we had dinner one night in restaurant which was very good and reasonably priced.
Review 17:The wifi was slow
Review 18:Breakfast, Room
Review 19:The WiFi was awful - working for 30 seconds then not working for 30 seconds.

Review 33:Great location not far from the river. The hotel is new and the food at the restaurant is good.
Review 34:The view towards the church is amazing. Very good breakfast with real coffee, good location for doing daytrips, newly renovated rooms ...
Review 35:The breakfast should be better.
Review 36:The staff were very very friendly and helpfull. The location was perfect. We eated one time in the restaurant of the hotel, at luch, and it was very good (even if a little bit expensive)! The rooms are very nice and elegant: ask for those in front of the church!!!! ;)
Review 37:A little mistake on assigning the wrong room type although the hotel was quite empty. Issue was solved right away when I've brought it up to the receptionist.
Review 38:The location, the balcony and its view over the mountain and São Bento sanctuary. The room was spacious and the bathroom quite nice.
