Review 1:The walls are thin. I could hear the people in the adjoining rooms conversation word for word. I also would like there to be a mini fridge in the room and possibly a microwave. We called for a room service menu and never received one.

Review 2:The room and hotel was nicely decorated. The price we paid was very reasonable.

Review 3:Jan 2016 - Stay at any other hotel/casino! Since this was my first and last stay at this hotel, I will only list 3 issues with the Golden Nugget (yes, there were more):1) Took over an hour (1.5 hrs) to have bell desk tell us that they didn't know our room number so they couldn't deliver our bags. I apologize for not knowing my room number when I pull up to the valet. I eventually had to go retrieve my bags myself after waiting (they were still in the valet area). This was unacceptable and a great way to kick off a weekend with friends.2) Front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. I reserved a Deluxe King room. Upon check-in (at 4pm) I was informed that they only had rooms with Queens left (its not like they didn't know I was coming). Additionally, the room was on the first floor and our "view' was of the outside smoking section and the lobby. There was nothing deluxe about our room. When asked, they replied that this is all they had left...However, while waiting in the lobby for my bags (see 1 above), they still managed to check at least 10 people in a room that was what I reserved (I stopped counting after 10, I was getting tired of getting angry about their subpar service). I was still charged for the deluxe king room...Just an FYI - Their "queen" beds are actually full/double.3) Most everyone (except the 1-person they had working late night at the 24-hour deli) was not very friendly or helpful. We actually observed multiple staff openly mocking other guests who asked questions or asked for service (directions, drinks, a menu, where is my food?). They didn't even try to hide it!Other than waiting for our group of 15 to gather at our hotel, we ended up spending 99.9% of our time at other properties (Harrah's, Pioneer, Tropicana, Colorado Belle, and Edgewater).The first two issues were taken up with "managers", but they didn't really seem to care.

Review 4:Luckily, the Golden Nugget is located very close to other hotel/casino's so you wont have to spend your time and money here....

Review 5:The staff were all friendly, courteous and efficient. Special thank you to Regina at the front desk and Kenneth from housekeeping. The room was very clean and the view of the river was awesome. All the restaurants were very good too! We even won at the casino!

Review 8:We paid for an upgrade and the room wasn't worth the price. We couldhave stayed elsewhere for cheaper. The hallway and our room smelled likecigarette and marijuana smoke. Even though the household staff sprayedour room, it still smelled.

Review 9:Room 147 was very loud. Right next to the lobby. Had to change rooms. Got one on the third floor and could hear people walking across the floor above us.

Review 11:A couple of our towels were very stained the first day. Also, the mat inside the tub had not been removed to clean under it. There was some kind of gunk squeezing out every time we stepped into the shower.

Review 15:I did not appreciate the fact that they were doing construction sooo early in the morning, I felt as if I was in the middle of a war zone, alot of loud talking and pounding on the walls, it was quite disturbing...

Review 17:8:00am on Sunday they decided to start construction outside of my door. saws,hammers, banging tool carts down the hallway. Staff said sorry, they had a new crew. I had to ask if they would discount the room. They offered 10% off for that night for my trouble. They should have mentioned the construction schedule and offered a different room if I didn't want to deal with it.

Review 19:The rooms are in great need of updating. OUR beds were not comfortable,lighting very low and only 2 lamps, non on desk. No outlets on desk for charging phones etc and TV controll didn't work and temp contol not easy to use.

Review 20:Staff was friendly.The restraunts were fabulous and waiters great!Accommodated us with rooms close to entrance for handicapped person. Nice pillows!

Review 21:The restaurant selection is not what we enjoy. Claim Jumpers we were told that they would have a Thanksgiving dinner with choice of pie. We were seated only to have the staff inform us of the weight, size, etc of the food items included in the turkey dinner and it did not include pie. We ended walking out.

Review 22:We have been coming to this casino for 5 years for the Thanksgiving buffet and fantastic breakfasts that we would get here. To our disappointment that was not what happened this year. I do like the location and the comfort of their rooms. This may be my last year here. Sorry.

Review 23:The pillow on the bed were horrible there were (3) hard, unable to sleep on they were at least 10-12 inches thick . I got out of bed and made a pillow with the towel. Pillows were so hard my sister woke up with a headache and a stiff neck also !

Review 29:We stayed at the hotel with a couple other couples and we decided to upgrade our room to a deluxe room. We compared our rooms to see what the difference was and it literally was a little bigger TV. And a complimentary 20 ounce bottle of water. That was it! Not worth the money.

Review 31:Checked in, wen't to our room, immediately saw that it wasn'tthe room we booked. Went down stairs to see if there was a mix up. Themanager said they over booked and even though we paid for a nicer room,they said it didn't guarantee that we received the room that we paidfor. Manager was very rude. She had about 5 people behind me saying thesame thing. So we asked for our money back, which she had a problemwith, then went to the Aquarius which was much nicer. I used to stay atGolden Nugget very often, but because of their mgmt I will never staythere again. I have never been treated so poorly. It was dishearteningto say the least.

Review 32:Air conditioning didn't work. Asked to move, they wanted to fix it. Tried and it didn't work but they made us wait until the next morning. Spent the next half day going back and forth to the front desk trying to move because they said to keep checking back. Ruined our experience. Just wish they would have moved us right away, the room was hotter than the hall.customer service was lacking expect for one young lady.

Review 35:Small very friendly Casino beside the Colorado River. Has an excellent Steakhouse and excellent value for money. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Review 36:In room 260 water in sink and bath didn't flow. Towels requires replacement. They were nice whenthey were new, now are a bit stinky and old. They put buttle of water next to coffe machine but it costs 3$. Luckily they didn't ask to pay for that.

Review 40:We had reserved a two queen bed room. Upon arrival we're told they ran out of beds and can only give us a King and an inflatable. After about 10 min of discussion a discount was given, and we were switched to our room on the second night.

Review 51:I did not have a bad experience. The only thing i did not like was i booked the room back in the beginning of june for a deluxe king room and the day of my trip i was offered a two queen bed room instead of what i booked for. The hotel could only give me a king room smoking.

Review 52:Non smoking room that still had awful smokey smell. Maid barged in at 8:30 only knocking once then when asked up come back barked you should have put "do not disturb " sign on door Bubba Gump was awful.

Review 53:The hotel is a bit tired. It is overdue for a refurb, however it was clean and comfortable. The pool was a bit murky by the time we got there but it was a welcome dip.

Review 55:This place is very dirty. I wish I had my cleaning supplies to clean the elevator and vacuum the hallway. How could they possibly rate this a 4-star hotel? Our room smelled like smoke. Gross!

Review 57:we requested a river view & was told they were not available when we checked in. Also the "upgraded" room looked like any other BASIC room I have stayed in. There was not a frig or a microwave in the room, in fact we had to pay $10- additional per day for a really small mini frig!!! I thought it was also ridiculous that we had to pay $1.50 each for coffee pods if we wanted more than one regular & 1 decaf per day. If that is going to be the case give me a regular coffee pot!!! The male front desk clerk was very confused & I don't think he should be in the position he is in. Also, there was not a vent fan in the bathroom.

Review 59:Definite scent of cigarettes smoked in hallways. They need a non smoking wing.

Review 65:I waited for two hours for housekeeping to bring fresh towels for us to shower. The staff was not very accommodating or friendly. They don't have many food options for young children inside the hotel either.

Review 66:The hotel was clean and you can tell it was upgraded. They do have a pool but it is much smaller than what's in the picture.

Review 67:Mold/dirt on shower curtain, tub didn't drain and you were standing in calf high water within 5-min, no Pay-per-view & TV went out, noisy hallways, insufficient security for property, very small pool with lots of kids & noisy, overall deferred maintenance everywhere including elevators

Review 83:The only problem we had was that the coffee maker in the room didn't work properly. Upon checkout we told the desk clerk, and she said we should have let her know, they would have brought us another.

Review 86:We visit Laughlin at least 5 to 6 times a year with our family as we live in nearby Vegas. We have visited every hotel there is and the Golden Nugget always comes out tops. The bed was extremely extremely comfortable , free wifi, a Starbucks, great restaurants and lovely pool. It's a great choice!

Review 93:I had requested a room close to the elevator because I cannot walk very far. We were given a room way down the hallway next to an elevator but very far from the main entrance and had a very long walk to get to our room. When I asked to be change to another room the following day, we got one close to the elevator, however on our second day, we were not serviced when we returned to our room. Since we were leaving the nxt day, we did not complain to the front desk. Our bed was hard as rocks and we did not sleep well and were glad to go leave early.

Review 94:there was only one decaf and one regular pod for the Keurig coffee machine. When I asked if I could have a couple pods of regular coffee. They charged me a $1.50 a pod. I had already spent over $200. Since they were so chincey, I decided not to gamble much at the Golden Nugget. I went to the pioneer next-door. Also, the shower was in disrepair and the window was really dirty.

Review 96:When checking in the guy was trying to put us in a room on the first floor with double beds. We made reservations two weeks in advance for a king bed and river view. We did get the king bed but not a river view and the person in the room above us stomping around for 3 hours was a little excessive

Review 101:I love the view of the river from our room.Nice pool.Very friendly staff. The windows in the rooms can open up for fresh air!! Many of the hotels do not have windows that can open.

Review 102:We requested a non-smoking room with a king size bed. Although we arrived in the early afternoon, no room with a king size bed was available. It also took 45 minutes to get a bell boy to help us with the luggage.

Review 103:I had to pay for a fridge $10 and I didn't ask about the microwave, and I had to bring my own wifi, one lady stated it was $8 per day, on a retirement budget that steep. I got all that in Las Vegas and paid the same.

Review 118:That near the coffee maker was a info letting you know that it was $1.50 for the coffee, but when confronting registration upon leaving I was told that was only if you wanted additional coffee, which it didn't say. so I went down to the deli instead to get donuts and coffee. If your going to let the guest know it's $1.50 for additional coffee that's what it should say letting you know that the first cup is complimentary wouldn't hurt either!

Review 120:We watched the first Football game in the Night Club Lounge Arizona Cardinals and Panthers but for the Steelers and Ravens Game the big screen was switched to the WWc cage fighting ! We left and watched the rest of the Football games at the Tropicana which had money to win after each Score of the games.

Review 121:I play Table Games Let it Ride and my wife likes Black Jack Keep the Let it Ride Game and I will be Back to Play as long as the Game In made available.

Review 122:I was disappointed in the updates of the hotel and rooms. I think bigger, new maybe white bath towels would make a big difference on the perception of the room rather than the small peach colored ones that made me feel like I wad at my grandma house. I did LoVe the food and service at claim jumpers restaurant it was excellent and very friendly

Review 123:Need new shower head. The hotel was about 10% full when we were there but our next door was occupied and very noisy. I don't understand why they have to use the room next each other where most of floor was empty. There was the black out curtain but no sheer curtain for privacy.

All other hotels as soon as you walk through the door it stinks. The entrance looked better than all other hotels. It looked clean in the front and the back. Other hotels were dirty in the back. Food and servers at Bubba Gump were great. Breakfast at Claim Jumper was bland did not enjoy that.

Review 127:Recently, removed Harlow's restaurant that hosted a Sunday brunch that was amazing. Now have Claim Jumper as substitute and didn't find anything special about it.

Review 128:We most enjoy the staff and the convenience of staying @ the hotel where casino, restaurants etc. readily available. Traveled w/86 yr old mother. She felt very safe & comfortable with the surroundings.

Review 129:Bait and switch. Booked a courtyard deluxe king, non-smoking room. Checked in at 5:30pm and was told only room left was a queen smoking. After seeing (smelling) room went back and told the front desk it was not acceptable due to extremely strong smoke smell. After 5 minutes of them telling us there was nothing else, they offered a downgraded room with a view of the garage and employee break/smoking pit, but said that because it was booked on booking.com, they could not refund any part of the reservation. Front desk staff was rude, sloppy, and didn't care that we were unhappy. All they would say was that bed request and smoking was not guaranteed, and we should know that. Booking.com was misleading by confirming that we booked a non-smoking room. We ended up taking the smoking room because the wife couldn't stand seeing and hearing the employees outside the other room.

Review 131:Upon our arrival, we were greeted by two sleepy desk clerks who looked like they didn't want to be there. When called down for air unit not working, they never came. Had to call the next day to get someone to fix it. No apology just "we'll send someone"

Review 132:Things I didn't like, I specifically ordered a "KING ROOM"for the king size bed, when I arrived to my room I realized it was a"QUEEN ROOM" with 2 queen beds. I went downstairs to clarifywith the front desk, they simply said "THAT'S what theyDO" they give away the king rooms first. So whether you order aking room or queen you can possibly be stuck with a queen room even ifyou do not want it. I was very unhappy I was not given the room I hadordered. I will not be staying at the golden nugget again.

Review 133:Things I liked about the golden nugget. The location was great, thecleanliness was great.

Review 134:We arrived late evening. Our toilet was broken...it kept running, sounded like it was constantly filling. There were no options to switch to another room unless we paid an upgrade fee. We had an "engineer" sent over to fix it. A small inconvenience.

Review 135:Great location. The beds seemed newer with nice white sheets. Walk the river out back no or take a water taxi...easy access to other hotels and boat tours.
