Review 1：It is a luxury up in the mountains. The property itself is a jewel. Very well kept. The room spacious and the toiletteries , Rituals, an Asían luxury. I hooe to come back with friends and family.

Review 2：The hotel is not expensive, but given location, condition of the rooms, service is still overpriced. The corridors and rooms are old (not antique ones , but all the other ones) and even partly new furniture is not imroving the situation. Breakfast is not tasty and the chioce is quite limited, pastry is of a lower than average level. The number of staff is limited, there is no lift and there was no one to help us with luggage, althoug a girl at the reception proposed her help, but you wouldn't occupy a reception girl with 2 big bags. Location is good for golf and tracking, but for other purposes you would probably look for something with a view or closer to the ocean.

Review 5：It was our best stay in Madeira. Amazing beds - I didn't sleep that well for a long time! Breakfast was excellent, so we went for half board as well. Great decision, food was delicious and we had the best Sangria ever! Very relaxing, small but very clean indoor swimming pool with sauna. I can highly recommend to anyone.

Review 6：The service of cleaning is not so good as we expect. Some dust in the room, including spiders in the lamp floor, problems with plumbing pipes. The bathroom has a typical "bad smell". We found some sheets and towels with holes. There is no Air Conditioning and it is not easy to let the windows opened at the night because the brown dark curtains make some pressure against them, closing them. The carpet seems to be non allergic, I found myself giving sneezing. The breakfast is quite good, but needs fresh fruit. Please don 't ask for the afternoon tea, the cakes are reheated. In general: the place is so great, that they should redecorate the rooms, with a nice carpet and curtains, with brighter colours. Atmospheric conditions and the existence of a golf court nearest which could bring mud is a myth. And please control the cleaning service doing some inspections on the rooms.

Review 8：The service It didn't met expectations. At the breakfast buffet O saw another client eating a fuit that I didn't see on buffet! I kindly ask for it and I was told that they were not serving papaya! it's kind of annoying and somehow sad to be treated like second class client.

Review 11：The pool was very nice and quiet, with some whirlpool jets. The hotel is surrounded by a garden with lush vegetation. The room had all the amenities - good bed, clean bathroom. The breakfast buffet selection was biggest I've seen in Portuguese hotels (which is usually somewhat limited). Dining room had a nice atmosphere, think Portuguese restaurant in an English countryside club.

I found the hotel amazing, it is a perfect place for a romantic weekend or for those who like quietness. Just be aware that it is a bit isolated and takes at least half an hour driving to Funchal.
