Reviews for Hotel Mirna – Terme & Wellness LifeClass

Review 1:The hotel is rated 4 star, but the rooms are very used and old. It is in a need of a renovation. But they are very big and i had a balcony with a bit of sea view. It is a bit overpriced considering the oldness of the rooms.

Review 2:Location is OK, staff is friendly, rooms are very clean and you have the possibilty to use other Lifeless hotels' swimming pools etc.

Review 3:The hotel service was very bad. The reception or front desk manager was not caring about the guests. She did not even ask for feedback when we left. One night we could not sleep because of the loud music coming from a party outside and she told me 'you should close the window'. Unacceptable. The staff at the breakfast room was unfriendly. I asked for a table and the response was 'why do you want to sit there?'. When we asked for a coffee, the staff's reaction was very awkward. I would definitely recommend anyone to spend a holiday in Portoroz but NOT at the Mirna Hotel.

Review 4:Not much from the hotel really except the view from the 5th floor. We had a nice sea front view. Portoroz and Piran are beautiful and lovely places.

Review 5:When you pay 137e per night you at least expect you can use bathrobes for free, but no! Also, you have to pay for parking and for sunbeds although you are hotel guests!!!

Review 6:The room was spacious with a beautiful view! Everything was clean and comfortable.

Review 7:Mirna is extremely noisy hotel, you can hear all neighbours' toilet flush, showering, etc.. For this reason we left one day earlier. furnitures are old-fashioned and used. design is very old-fashioned and tacky. Many steps (about 100 stairs) you have to climb to hotel. This hotel standard is not more than 3 stars. Garage is expensive, otherwise there are very limited parking places around.

Review 8:cleaniness and breakfast was nice.

Review 9:The parking lots close to the hotel are overloaded, the free ones are far from the hotel (considering 4* hotel). The hotel beach was overcrowded - not suitable for so many hotels (4) as it is used for.

Review 10:Nice surrounding, large rooms, nice balcony and nice view, delicious food for breakfasts and dinners, helpful staff.

Review 11:WiFi sometime had a mind of its own, parking is extra-charge and the beach is in concrete, not suited for small children. Also, although the beach is across the street, there is a lot of stairs ana uphill to the reception, which can be a problem for families.

Review 12:Exceptionally kind and professional staff, with special greetings and praise to Ms. Djurdja, who was the kindest and most welcoming staff member there, as all the cleaning ladies as well. Its an excellent hotel complex. Rooms are clean, breakfast and dinner are exceptional - overall, on usual booking discount, its worth of money invested.

Review 13:The variety of the food and beverage during the breakfast and the dinner. Some waiters and waitresses were not very friendly, not so bad, but at some moments we were afraid if we do something wrong (like occupy wrong table) they will shout on us.

Review 14:Thermal water Spa, friendly stuff, specially in reception.

Review 15:No problems!

Review 16:For the last night of our stay at Hotel Mirna, I made a separate booking because we stayed one day longer than originally planned. We got a very nice room with a seaview on the fifth floor. I would definitely recommend this type of room for couples because it's on one of the top floors.

Review 17:On our balcony there was a slight smell from the kitchen in the evening, but we weren't usually in the room at that time, so it wasn't a real problem.

Review 18:We had a nice room that even had a partial sea view and got a good deal on booking.com, so it was very good value for money. Breakfast is very good, and dinner is good as well as inexpensive if you book half board, which we did. This time we also used the swimming pools at the wellness centre (free access), and our daughter enjoyed the children's playroom in the basement. The beach is better and cleaner than other beaches in Portoroz. We'd go back to Hotel Mirna once again.

Review 19:Isn't easy to find the Hotel. GPS guides only to the main street, but the hotel is in the hillside. Not enough parking place, parking is difficult. It's promised, but no seeview.

Review 20:Wellness, staff, food OK.

Review 21:We were really surprised with the complex of spa and a possibility to refresh in thermal water after the return from trip. Hotel is situated near the beach and near bus stop which you can use for travelling to Piran or oposite direstion in very cheap taxes. You can entry all the hotel venue from the beach- side to hotel Mirna without unconvenient way by steps. Restaurant staff was really experienced - "old school" with very personal attention to a guests. Parking car at near big park place was without any probles ana absolutely safe.

Review 22:- only 1 slow lift in this 6 floors hotel. It is ok to climb, but hard with pram. Floor 6 has no lift. - expensive drinks for dinners Laško bottled 0,33 - 3,70 EUR - baby cot was not prepared despite this was confirmed by "Reservation", but solved within an hour

Review 23:- good choice of food and fruit during dinners and always replenished even close to opening hours. - swimming pools with warm and salty watter - good parking possibilities - you can use all parkings from LifeClass hotels for very small amount. But by this hotel only 10 parking places available, others in 5mins walking distance.

Review 24:The hotel is close to the beach, but in a quiet street up the hill, so there was no noise from traffic. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was generally very clean, and breakfast was very good. We really felt less stressed after one week in Portoroz, and I would choose the same hotel again.

Review 25:One of the receptionist didnt speak english or german , so it was a bit problem , because you can get any information , she was there when we checked in. All other stuff were great.

Review 26:Spacious room , very clean. Nice wellness , short way to the beach. Tasty food - breakfast&dinner. We liked it all.

Review 27:Autiorisation wethod for Wi-Fi Intertet connection is very uncomfortable Note, that the drinks for the dinner are not included

Review 28:We liked the basines and spa with ttermal water in the Terme and Wellness Center which belongs to the Hotel Complex

Review 29:We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. When I booked it I got a very special price for the family room incl. half-board. So in my opinion the price of this hotel in comparison to the prices of hotels in Slovenia was low. So my opinion is that the hotel Mirna is perfect for the price you pay. The rooms are large and specious, the bathroom as well. Everything is clean. We had a great quite room with the balcony to the pool. The stuff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed very much the swimming in the inside pools. The beach is not as far as we expected from the reviews we had read before we came to the hotel. We have read many reviews before we went to Slovenia, so we knew that we should pay for the drinks at dinner extra, that we should pay for parking, that we should pay 12 EURO for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, we knew that there is no sand on the beach, we took the shoes for swimming and it was very helpful and we enjoyed swimming in the sea. The sea was clean. I absolutely agree with the other reviewers, that the service in Slovenia is similar as in Austria. We liked very much the breakfasts and dinners in the Mirna hotel. We liked the fitness as well – it was small, but good. We liked very much the town Portoroze, the eis creams; the steaks at the Meduza restaurant on the beach. We liked the time we spent there.

Review 30:The staff were not so friendly, except some of them in the restaurant. But it was so not only in the hotel, but everywhere, on the bus, in the restaurants, in the shops. We saw smile hardly. First we got a room next to the place where they keep the dust. We couldn't use the balkony, we couldn't open the window, and it smellt very strongly in the room too. When we complaind, they weren't surprised. Second day we get an other room which was a little bit better, farer from the dust, but sometimes we smellt the stinky smell. This meant that my 3-year old son couldn't sleep in the room on the second day, because we had to move, so he was very tired all day. In the wellness wearing slippers was prohibited. I didn't understand, because in my opinion it is not too hygienic. In others places it is obligatory to use slippers. There were a lot of steps to the beach, but it is possible to go throw the others hotels and passages. It wasn't really bad, but if you leave something in the room, it isn't so good.

Review 31:Delicious food, location, there was an indoor pool, next to the hotels there was a bus station to Piran.

Review 32:Small outdoor pool without any additional offer, poor breakfast, unprepared room (sheets for extra bed were missing).

Review 33:Location in quiet area but close to the beach, spacious room, helpful staff at reception.

Review 34:nothing

Review 35:Nicel and comfortable room, convenient and spacious balcony. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Quiet location.

Review 36:Facilities

Review 37:Outdoor pool is to small.

Review 38:Location is good in the heart of Portoroz. View from hotel is nice. Food is good.

Review 39:food for breakfast and dinner littlebit boring, always same and not for 4 star hotel

Review 40:great rooms, stuff ok, very near to beach and city center

Review 41:Everything

Review 42:Wifi at 6th floor

Review 43:Everything great but sometimes young receptionist had no knowledge about some services and confused customers

Review 44:personal has very poor English waiter was cheeky long distance from beach

Review 45:large room very good food

Review 46:The location, close to the beach and to the airport. Hospitability. Silence. Food.

Review 47:Location.Too many stairs leads to the hotel. The parking is a bit difficult. Besides the elevator was not working perfectly.

Review 48:It is a city center. There is good and diverse food.

Review 49:One thing what I missed was very weak internet conection on the 4. floor.but the other hand I didn t waste the time by browsing it.

Review 50:I am very pleased to be there. It was prefect holiday where I relaxed among a few people and very calm atmosphere. The staff was very kind and polite. When people are looking for 100% relax it is the best place.everything was perfect clean.the sea was clean.everything was very close so you don t need to use the car.and not to forget-the price was fantastic.I would recommend it all my friends.

Review 51:Poor services. Unfriendly staff and not all speak a word of English. Guests enjoying themselves should be staff's priority, here they could not care less, more important to follow numerous rules of the hotel complex. For example lobby bar refused to give more than one glass of ice to go, even though we offered to pay for it. Lifeclass hotel beach is concrete and grass and a sundbed costs 6€ for hotel guests. Mind you it's 17€ on neighbouring sandy beaches. Can't get even a coffee, other drinks or snack during the day from your own hotel, they seem to think it's enough that some bar in some of the complex hotels is open - it certainly is not. Hard to find anything in complex, signs are misleading. No drinks, not even water, available at pool, they should put a vending machine there.Grand hotel pool closed in the middle of high season, weird. So called treatments questionable, physiotherapeutic massage and classical massage are the same, not really massage at all, just soothing touching. So called Thalasso massage did not have any "Thalasso" in it, excepted some sea water element from the explanation we got before booking. Nothing can be booked adhoc, so don't expect to get any "treatment" when you need it, you need to plan two days ahead, which is not what you want to do on holiday. Cannot book anything at the spot, after searching for some place for half hour you're told that bookings have to be done at reception, after going back to your hotel reception you're told it meant beauty center reception where you just came back from, hotel reception will not help, you need to call yourself. So an hour wasted just for poor information. The shower would sometimes for an instant burn you with very hot water and then return to normal temperature.

Review 52:Near to the beach and restaurants. Spacious and clean room, good beds, very nice seaview (double room with seaview) from balcony. Mirna's own small pool excellent, cool water is just what you need in heat. Quite good breakfast.

Review 53:This hotel is definitely a place for senior citizens, families with small kids or couples wishing to spend some private quiet time. Perhaps this is due to pre-seasonal time of our visit (june), but Portoroz in general is not very vibrant and party-friendly place so I wouldn't recommend it to young adventurous people or teenagers, since they might get a bit bored.

Review 54:Central location, really friendly staff, free access to wonderful huge spa center. Food, especially dinner (we had half-board deal) was unexpectedly good for 4-star hotel (think fresh mussels, octopus salad and similar premium food). Portoroz is a bit of parking hell, but the hotel has valet parking for reasonable price. Rooms are a bit old fashioned in a sense of design, but roomy and perfectly clean. Slovenia has in general higher acommodation prices, so this could be considered as really good value-for-money hotel.

Review 55:food, wellness, rooms, personal, internet

Review 56:For WI-FI you need a password.

Review 57:Kindness of Staff!

Review 58:Great value for money

Review 59:great breakfast, nice staff

Review 60:Bad parking

Review 61:Good food, quiet

Review 62:There was the worst stuff I've ever seen.

Review 63:The beach is not so nice in this city, rather use the pool however the open-air pool is small...
