Reviews for Hotel Brasa
Review 1:From the moment I set foot in the hotel I felt a little like I was intruding. Almost assaulted by an elderly gentleman who eventually grabbed my booking paper. He seemed to be everywhere looking and lurking. Basil Fawltey just came to mind. Had to change rooms as WIFY did not work. Shower was not adjustable and soaked the bathroom.
Review 2:The staff did try to be helpful.
Review 3:.The wifi was not effective in the room, however it was sufficient in the lounge area.
Review 4:Generous sized room with distant views. Decent menu, we had lunch and couldn't manage dinner.
Review 5:The male receptionist on our arrival was very grumpy. Wi-Fi didn't work even though it was supposedly «open» Breakfast poor ( but waiter lovely!)
Review 6:Very easy to find and near motorway which was very convenient for us as we were stopping off en route to Lisbon. Very quiet room with lovely view over typical Portuguese countryside. Good value for money. Breakfast waiter charming and helpful.
Review 7:Minimal TV. Probably a bit far from town centre if purpose is sight-seeing but easy enough to drive up for that.
Review 8:Large comfortable room, full bathroom, simple but plentiful breakfast included. Plenty of parking.
Review 9:nothing really - not all staff speak English though
Review 10:Great location though not walking distance into the town of Elvas, good basic breakfast included
Review 11:No restaurant - apparently closed on a Monday but we could not find this on our Booking.com information
Review 12:Nothing in particular.
Review 13:restaurant was. closed on Mondays
Review 14:Was all very good .
Review 15:Glad to have an electric radiator heater in the room.
Review 16:the noisy people who show no repect for other people trying to sleep.
Review 17:nothing
Review 18:nice hotel perfect stop enroute to algarve
Review 19:On our visit the restaurant was closed, so we had to visit another hotel for a meal!
Review 20:The hotel was okay for an overnight stop but not use it for a long stay. The room was drab and in need of some T.L.C. The area was okay, and Elvas was worth a short visit.
Review 21:If visiting Elvas this is about 2 miles from the old centre, but plenty of parking under the famous viaduct.
Review 22:Very good situation outside Elvas. We needed a stop on way to Algarve. Quiet, good night's sleep. Very roomy, modern, family run hotel. Other restaurants nearby if you don't want to eat in hotel-although we did & have subsequently used their recipe.Plenty of parking.
Review 23:The restaurant was not open at the time of our visit so we had to look for an alternative for our evening meal.
Review 24:Value for money accommodation and breakfast with no frills.
Review 25:It is just a little too far away from the main part of town. If we had to walk just a mile to get to the middle of town we would enjoy it, it would make the visit to Elvas that much more enjoyable.
Review 26:Very good value for money. Evening meals in the restaurant are of a pretty good standard and reasonably priced. The place seemed pretty clean and the facilities more than reasonable for the price. The place is very easy to find when approaching from the East and driving so as to avoid the costly toll roads.
Review 27:For the price, we were expecting much more. The breakfast was modest and the facilities could be a bit more modern. The price should be more accessible.
Review 28:Very clean, and good location (near Elvas). The staff was friendly.
Review 29:We asked for food off their speciality menu, a chicken dish and an entrecote, both of which were unavailable which surprised us as we were the first to arrive in the restaurant that evening. This meal coincided with a large pre-booked coach party arriving which seemed to have an impact on the quality of our food. However, next morning we were allowed breakfast early before the coach party could enter the breakfast room.
Review 30:Friendly, helpful staff. Loads of on-site parking. Continental breakfast which was generous in its type and quantity.
Review 31:It was quite noisy through the afternoon of our visit and everything looked a bit 'tired'.
Review 32:Lovely location for historical Elvas. We had our own transport so not a problem visiting the town.
Review 33:We liked everything about the hotel - staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and we could not believe the low price for such good quality accommodation. We are considering spending a weekend at the hotel later in the year.
Review 34:we were very pleased with the hotel and staff, and appreciated the easy to find location in a city we were unfamiliar with.
Review 35:The hotel is in bad shape, not good gleaned, we have to sleep in the floor and very noisy.
Review 36:Only the restaurant.
Review 37:Convenience
