Reviews for Champa Lao Bungalows
Review 1:Compared to villas, the rooms with shared facilities are great value.
Review 2:This place had a nice vibe about it with great views of the karst mountains. Not to far from town though not in the heart of it. Our kids were in a room atop the main building - shared facilities etc. This had a great view in a shared common area. We were in a bungalow across a wacky foot bridge - this was a pretty unique setting however we were on the go all the time and no time to sit in the hammock so the simple rooms where our kids stayed would be enough. Nice family run the joint with a young baby. Good restaurant in guest house next door.
Review 3:Has to have the best view in Vang vieng. To really enjoy the views stay in the main house not in the bungalows bellow, The staff were very friendly. Great location, walking distance to great bars etc but with out all the noise. Would definately book again, thanks.
Review 4:- Water heater did not function well.
Review 5:- The lady owner is superb friendly . She captures joy with those beautiful smiles ! - Traditional Laos style rural hut provides a whole new and refreshing accommodation experience after staying in countless western style hotels. - Simply beautiful and stunning mountains view. - Quiet after about 10pm so no problem to rest at night. - Good location . Not so crowded and packed but just a short walk to the centre area.
Review 6:Bungalows were quite rustic and low security thatched bamboo Awkward access via narrow suspension bridge across river Bungalow construction meant fairly noisy
Review 7:Friendly and helpful staff Tasty Thai food Good if you want to feel you are getting away from it all
Review 8:The only bad thing was the bed, it was so hard it was like sleeping on the ground. After travelling SE Asia for a while we know that hard beds are the standard but I think this one was the worst :(
Review 9:We loved pretty much everything about this cool little spot! (Except the bed!). Great balcony, clean shared bathrooms, hot water to make your own tea and coffee, great breakfast (amazing fresh bread). The owners are a lovely little family who work very hard. We had a room in the main bungalow which had a fan and mossie net.
Review 10:The place is just next to a bar that has music until midnight. After that it is mostly quiet.
Review 11:The view is really nice from the terrace. The thai couple who are running the place are friendly and nice people.
Review 12:None. It's perfect!
Review 13:The views are amazing and has a very good vantage point of Vang Vieng and the surrounding mountains. Monchanok was very friendly and super accommodating, and Kam kam, her baby, was very cute too! ^_^
Review 14:I love this place! Feels like home overlooking Vang vieng's scenic views. Very accomodating and friendly guesthouse. I personally recommend this place 1000% ?
Review 15:The bed was a bit hard but then this seems to be the norm in Laos. There was also some noise from a local bar one night but then unless you stay well out if town you'll struggle to get away from it anywhere you stay. At least this place is at the edge of town, not in the centre which for us would have been horrendous!
Review 16:If you're looking for a no frills traditional Laos accommodation with lovely owners, fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and just on the outskirts of town then tins is the one. We really loved this place, it made us feel relaxed.
Review 17:Very noisy as can hear all of the noise from riverside bars Thin, uncomfortable mattress on bed Lots of signs about having things stolen from rooms
Review 18:Central Nice staff Great view
Review 19:We had to change our room because where we stayed was too noisy at night, there's a bar next to room. I couldn't even sleep. Loud music with drunk people.
Review 20:Location - the view is amazing, friendly staffs Then we moved to Bungalow crossed the bridge was very quiet and peaceful. Very authentic. If you go to Champa Bungalow, I highly recommened to stay at actual Bungalow. It was good experience to be so close to the Mekong.
Review 21:The house is wooden, so there are gaps in the walls, which coupled with a poor mosquito net resulted in a few bites through our stay.
Review 22:Beautiful views from the main house with places to sit and hang out in made this place great. Hot showers were good too. Location is great, not in the hustle of the main street.
Review 23:Breakfast is only bread and egg, there should be some salad and other choices. The window in the bungalow cant be closed and the curtain was way smaller than the window. It was raining the night I stayed and of course the rain came in to my room.
Review 24:scenery around the bungalow was awesome
Review 25:Basic but cheap. Rained when we were there and so not a great place to be in those circumstances
Review 26:Looks great and kids excited by wooden bridge to bungalows
Review 27:The room is too dark, need more light and mirror, too much insect as its located surrounded by trees
Review 28:Nice cliff view directly in front of ur eyes And cozy couch
Review 29:Basic rooms, especially bathroom with running water but no plumbing, but with an absolute stunning view. Both quiet and central in Vang Vieng. Nice breakfast and kind people.
Review 30:It is just couple of minutes from the main street. The room is simple and clean. There is a large common area with hammocks, chairs and tables. You can enjoy great view from there. The couples running this place are friendly and always ready to help. They can provide you useful information travel aroUnd Vang Vieng.
Review 31:No flushing toilet in the bungalow, (you have to manually flush toilet yourself using a bowl of water.) Would be nice to have hooks in the bungalow room to hang things.
Review 32:Bungalows are spacious and staff was friendly and helpful. The property is very beautiful, relaxing and picturesque. Awesome views of karsts!
Review 33:Looking at the picture I expected to be in one of the bungalows, not in a very basic room with shared bathroom. Similar places were available for 30000 to 50000 kip, so I moved on the next morning.
Review 34:I liked the location, the view over the Mekong, the owners were awfully friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rather good.
Review 35:The bridge across to the bungalows might not be ideal for everyone. Its high up and very basic (bit wobbly, especially with luggage!) but the bungalow rooms are located by the breakfast area so no need to cross it.
Review 36:Best location in Vang Vieng. Quiet and unique place, yet close enough to the restaurants and rest of town. The views from the breakfast/communal area are by far the best we have seen in our 3 month trip around Southeast Asia. Accommodation and breakfast was basic but did the job! Outside space outside bungalows has chairs and hammocks, perfect place to relax!
Review 37:No very hot water Stairs to get to the bungalows are quiet dangerous
Review 38:The couple who owns the bugalows is so sweet.. She is 6 months pregnant and so smily lovely and helpful .. Bless her and same her husband so kind.. Good and clean facilities amazing spot and excellent position.. I highly recommend this place to traveller for a nice spot in vang vieng
Review 39:Nothing
Review 40:Simple, wood-panelled rooms but a balcony with a view to die for. Delightful Thai couple are very helpful and a delicious breakfast was unexpectedly included. Quite an oasis in the tourist town of Vang Vieng.
Review 41:Basic, don't expect too much from the toilet/shower.
Review 42:Location was perfect; close to town (5-minute walk) but far enough to be quiet (which is preferable in Vang Vieng). We loved the balcony with the hammocks and the amazing view on the karst rocks.
Review 43:The view is amazing, i love it so much:) quite chilly at night and i don't even need to on the fan. If you are a natural lover, you would totally into it. Btw i just love the concept and the way they run this bungalows.
Review 44:If only they also offer meals (lunch/dinner) in the property.. I was there when they cook the meals for their own lunch and it smells really good!
Review 45:I fell in love with the view from the common area! Shared bathroom were clean, and eventhough they provide hot water shower, the cold water shower was very refreshing! The staffs are friendly, and they have cute pets in the property. This is however not the place if you are looking for party ambience.
Review 46:Champa Lao Bungalows is heaven! We intended on staying one night, and we are still here after 4. A beautiful balcony with stunning views of the mountains is covered in lounges adorned with bright, comfortable pillows and hammocks. Our room was a double with shared bathroom. Its small in size but all we need. With two fans, mosquito net and small table. The bed is hard but in a good way and the pillows are wonderful. The bungalows are situated in a quieter end of town but still super central. The staff are so lovely and hospitable making whatever we wanted for breakfast and giving great advice. There are puppies and kittens too! Showers are cold but refreshing, and I couldnt have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing place to chill out. Prices are great. No complaints at all. A+++++

Review 56:Site location
Review 57:enjoy natural activities in here
Review 58:A dog-box with a bed. Internet non-existent and too hot to stay inside the room with the fan on.
Review 59:Leaviing
Review 60:i like the bungalow itself, feels so authentic. And it has a very good restaurant beside it.
Review 61:Basic bathroom and shower
Review 62:The place where you can have a good breakfast and see a nice view of Vang Vieng at the same time
Review 63:It probably was the most charming place of my 3 weeks trip. Also thanks to the sweet owners:) Thanks!
Review 64:Location, staff, breakfast
Review 65:Friendly helpful staff&great location!
Review 66:great location, nice view, helpful staff
Review 67:Very welcoming and helpful staff! Breakfast in very good, especially with that nice view! Our shower head broke and they fixed it really quickly.
Review 68:toilet sharing is not clean
Review 69:mosquito net in bedroom. terrace with day beds, hammock and very nice view. very friendly staffs.
Review 70:Hmm, maybe not as much of an atmosphere as there was in some of the hostels but it would be great for a couple.
Review 71:Got there at 6am after a 15hr bus journey. Thankfully, staff left out a note saying that although they were sorry not to be able to greet us in person, they left us a key and directions to our room. Brilliant! Comfortable, breakfast was good and the scenery made for some great photos.
