Apartamentos Carteia sells fast on our site. Located directly on the beachfront of Quarteira, Apartamentos Carteia offers self-catering apartments with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The unit features access to an outdoor swimming pool.
The spacious apartments are simply decorated and contain a lounge with a sofa bed, cable TV and balcony. The fully equipped kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave and oven. The bathrooms feature a bath tub.

Review 6：Even though we visited the Apartments at the end of the season with Quarteria closing down for the off season, there was still plenty of choice for eating out in lovely local places along the promanade towards Quarteria (10-15mins along the sea). We were away from the hustle and bustle of Vilamoura but still went in on four of the 8 nights for a few drinks. It was only around 7euros for a taxi in to the centre of Vilamoura. The beach was straight out of the apartment block a 1 min walk, lovely clean and tidy, you can hire sunbeds for the day 5euro for one with an unberella or 2 x 8euro/ 3x 10euros. We were on a golfing trip and organised golf transfers to and from Laguna/ Pinhal and Old Course for 40 euros per trip. A hire car is not needed but you can easily save on money if you have a driver. The local supermarket is across the main road leass than 5mins walk, and all reasonably priced (especially the red wine!). The apartments are basic and need of updating but really clean and washing machine and everything else you need. We also hired golf clubs for the week but would be returning next year with our own clubs and packing all the extra clothes and golf stuff in our golf bags! Bearice and Anabele were really helpful with any queries - so give the place a try for a relaxing trip to Portugal, we will be retunring next year!

Review 9：The apartment had the oldest looking bedspread and couch throw I have ever seen! It looks like someone has gone to a house clearance and picked up old bits of furniture and silly ornaments. It really would not take much to turn this into a lovely modern flat.Just a couple of new bedspreads and get rid of all the old tat and with that view this would be a must have apartment. Only wifi in reception area. Despite these negatives I would stay here again as such good value.

Review 10：Fabulous location, right on seafront. Loved our view from the balcony and watching the sunsets from there. Good sized apartment and fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need. Nice pool.

Review 14：Apartment is close to all the restaurants and bars in Quarteira. The beach is literally on the door step. Can't fault reception staff or cleaning staff. My 3rd stay. Hopefully back there in Feb. 2016!

Review 21：The bed was terrible, very hard and uncomfortable. There was no dish soap and the nearby store only sold large containers which we were not going to purchase for our 3 day stay. We could hear quite a lot of noise from the apartment next door.

Review 22：The location was perfect. Right on the promenade, close to beaches and restaurants. The receptionist, Brigit (sp?) was superb, professional and helpful. She booked a shuttle from the airport, met us with keys to the apartment several hours after her work day was complete due to our plane arriving mid evening. The apartment has a lovely view from the deck and has a washing machine. Wifi is only available in the lobby.

Nice clean apartment with good kitchen, big Lidl supermarket 23 minutes walking distance, other shops even closer nearby. Also plenty of restaurants within 5 a minute walk. Overall good value for money.

Review 29：The wifi was only available in reception or outside reception which was annoying, but we used the beach and they have free wifi. Location wise although it's on the beach you have to walk a fair distance fir decent restaurants and a mix of shops, and the beach has about a four foot drop from beach to sea so you had to walk up the beach to swim.

Review 30：Tge apartment was clean and very large for two people which was brilliant! The kitchen was large enough and had very good equipment provided for you, although we had to buy out own washing up stuff which seemed a waste as we hardly used any of it in a week! The staff were friendly, especially the younger girl, and were always happy to answer queries or book taxis etc.

Review 46：Fabulous promenade/beaches with the road behind the frontline hotels/apartments so very safe for children. The sea could be a little rough so small children would need to be watched at the waters edge as it went deep very quickly. Everyone was so friendly. We were greeted by Annabella who was extremely helpful. The apartment was located at the far end of the promenade so was fairly quiet but next to a small play area for children. We felt very safe walking at night. The apartment was very clean and was well equipped. We slept listening to the sound of the sea. There was a beautiful nature reserve to the left of the apartment which we found walking along the top of the beach. With a restaurant/bar close by. Lots of bird life. We also walked to Vilamoura which will be connected eventually when the promenade is extended. Very close to bars, restaurants and supermarket. The bus depot was a short walk away. A car is not essential. Bikes are available for hire for 11 Euro per day.

Review 48：Location of this self catering apartment was perfect with a lovely view of the sea/beach from our balcony. It was a modest apartment, but comfortable and suitable for our requirements. The lace was spotlessly clean!

Review 57：Nothing 'bad'. A chopping board would be useful as an addition to the kitchen as I had to cut meat in the packet - I didn't want to damage or contaminate the worktop. I think swapping the double bed to the bedroom and the twin beds to the living room would be a better sleeping arrangement but that's just feedback rather than a 'negative' as it was a great place overall. :D

Review 58：Excellent price as an extra 2 nights for our holiday. Great size and a surprise that the 'studio' was in fact a 1 bedroom apartment with twin beds in the bedroom plus a double bed in the living room. Good size apartment and Anabela is lovely as was the member of staff from the cleaning team waiting for us when we arrived. A town I already know and I like this end of the prom as it's quiet and non-touristy. Front row and literally step out onto the beach. Would definitely book again for another out of season break, wouldn't want to pay much more for the apartment (but don't visit places in high season due to numbers and high costs generally for holidays) but for this time of year, less than £20 a night was a bargain. Didn't try the wifi as we had our own router with us.

Review 59：Lack of WiFi was a problem for us. The 'business center' is the reception area and only open for a few hours. Parts of the building are in real need of attention, and it is poorly insulated in the winter. We spent a whole morning mopping up water in the lounge which had come through closed windows.

Beds a little hard I used extra duvet under sheet .WiFi poor non existent in apartment had to go out near reception toconnect. A little run down as mentioned in plus column. I read e reviewof someone mentioning balcony dangerous for small children although wedo not have them I would strongly agree. Even on ground floor you wouldhave to be vigilant they could scramble over and pool is deep. All abovecomments I normally would not bother with but reviews are there to giveother travellers an informed opinion.

Review 69：Location was brilliant. Ground floor apartment overlooking pool and seawas bliss. Roomy . Good english channels on tv (rained a couple ofdays).Sofas quite comfy. Washing machine included microwave. Promenadeplus beach yards away. Quiet. Other guests were respectfully courteousall nationalities included. Restaurants nearby were excellent a nicewalk along promenade to get to. Annabel who showed us round apartmentand supplied keys was fantastic ( also very attractive don't tellthe missus ). All in all a fantastic apartment costing 360 eurosapproximately for 11 nights. Yes Perhaps a little run down but we had 2bedrooms so if you are a family it would suit you more. We arrived 11October for 11 nights didn't want to leave I could go on and on butI'll stop there.
