Featuring an outdoor pool overlooking both sides of the Caniçada lagoon, Verde Pinho is in the Peneda Gerês National Park. All rooms have balconies with views of the surrounding mountains and lagoon.
Individually decorated, each air-conditioned room includes a flat-screen TV, fridge and modern, private bathroom.
There is a bar, a snack bar and lounge with exposed stone walls and a fireplace. A supermarket and a few bars and restaurants are found within a 10-minute drive.
The lagoon offers watersports and has several beaches, and the mountains are good for hiking. There is a spa centre in Vila do Gerês, 4.3 miles away.
Braga is around 45 minutes by car and the E1 motorway is 5 minutes further. Guimarães is around 1 hour’s drive away and Residencial Verde Pinho has a free car park.

Review 1：Places to eat night do not have a lot of food variety, but by car you can access good restaurants in 10 min.

Review 5：Lovely place to stay,excellent value, peaceful and the staff are lovely and helpful. Beautiful area. Even though it rained most of the time (It was April) I found some great walking trails.
Review 6：Only it was by the motor way, but not noisy, as not many traffic at night. I thought it was on the island at first when I book it. But overall, great choice. We will book the same place if go to that area again!

Review 8：No lift. If you carry s lot of luggage as we did it is not the best especially if you have a room in an upper floor. No wifi in the rooms, only in the lounge area; it is not a problem if you come here to relax and enjoy the nature. The room was very hot; fortunately there is air conditioning in it! No maps of the national park nearby. If you have breakfast included (we didn’t) be aware that the coffee is not included.
Review 9：Excellent relation quality/price. Wonderful location! The view on the lake was something we didn’t expect and we surely appreciated. The room was spacious and the bathroom had a big tub. The water from the tap is excellent; it is the same as the fresh water of the national park mountains. There was a big fridge in the room (compared to the mini fridges you normally find in a hotel room). Air conditioning available, you will need it if you come in summer time! The reception is well prepared with information on the national park; you can ask them for directions to waterfalls, villages, etc. Free parking on the spot. If you like Portuguese cuisine and you like wild meat such as boar go for the restaurant O Pimpao 4km north in direction Geres.

Review 29：Excellent value for money. We had a very nice room and the pool was a godsend ... as was the aircon with 40 degree plus heat! The view over the dam was beautiful and the room was cleaned every day.
Review 30：The only con was the road in front of the residence. Luckily, it's only busy during traffic hours so it will not keep you up, but only makes you wake up in time for breakfast.
