Located right in the Póvoa de Varzim city centre, this old house was reconverted into a hostel with brand new materials and design. Sardines and Friends provides affordable accommodation just a 2-minute walk from the Casino da Póvoa and a 3-minute walk from the beach.

Review 1：could't park outside but managed to get close enough.
Review 2：the room and bed layout was great for the baby. The kitchen was well equipped and comfortable to use. the staff were very laid back and friendly and as the only guest we had the place to ourselves mostly.
Review 3：Nothing the guys could do but it's nearly impossible to rent a surfboard anywhere north of Porto haha!

Review 5：Too noisy:every noise from outside(people, seagulls, etc.) and behind the wall(vibrating phone for ex.)you could hear like next to you. We came with 2 persons and there was only one!! towel.. The receptionist was available only in the morning so if we needed to ask for smth it was not possible

Review 7：This hostel has 3 girls in traineeship which where just a disgrace for this hostel. They could not speak any english and the moment they were talked to, they run away to get "help" from the other 2 girls, with no positive outcome. So on in the end, do not talk to the trainees if you are not fluent in portugese! (no english, french, italien, russian or danish!)
