Review 1：The room smelled a bit as if it had not been aired recently or the rubber on the carpet-back had such a smell. And as it was freezing cold I kept the windows closed otherwise probably airing would have done the trick. The hotel is a bit noisy. Many old people visited and they had the habit of walking in the hallways either late at night or early in the morning talking loudly. And maybe the staff in the restaurant can change their shoes from heels that sound like a hammer to something less noisy on the stone floors as I could hear them walk all evening. If you are a light sleeper best to ask for a more quiet one then the one I had but then you maybe miss out on the balcony and the jungle theme.(What I will do when I come back). Maybe make the breakfast a bit less expensive

Review 2：I had a very nice big room all for myself called "the jungle room" that was themed around tropics with elephant lamps, curtains and cushions with jungle prints and fur on the bed and "colonial" furniture. I can imagine for a couple quite inspiring :) Overall look of the hotel is old fashioned holiday luxe. Balconies, fireplace, winter garden, stone floors. Great value for money. Good breakfastbuffet with lots of choice. Near the zoo and the WW2 memorial cemetery and battlefield. Great walking over the Grebbenberg. Free parking.

Review 3：The bed mattress kept moving as it was a twin and not a double.

Review 9：Shower head was spraying everywhere until I covered the pipe with a washcloth. No phone in room (101A) and clerk not at desk to advise and have corrected. I would have told the clerk at check out, but was not asked how my stay was, and was cut off by clerk going to the next person.

Review 10：Location is next to Ouwehands Dierenpark. Restaurant staff was very friendly. Meals were very good. Comfortable room, although dated. Stayed one night in room with balcony.

Review 11：The location was perfect for our trip to visit friends in Veenendal. There were ample parking spaces on arrival and check in was quick and trouble free. The staff were very polite and helpful and we were in our room within 5 minutes of arriving. The room was comfortable with a nice en suite bathroom. The breakfast was varied and suitable for all tastes. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good value for money.

Review 12：the only thing to nit pick about and it did not have any reflection on our stay is that the rooms and bathrooms need updating and better lighting as they seemed 70ish and dark.

Review 13：staff were great and went out of their way to do all they could to make the stay great. everything was very clean and tidy, breakfast was good and evening meal was very good. we loved the location near eateries and shops and the zoo but peaceful and relaxing, all in all we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most likely return.

Review 14：Almost everything including poor facilities in the rooms. It's definitely not 4* or 3* Hotel. I specifically asked for 2 single beds and surprise, surprise ! only double bed was available however later they decided to give us 2 single rooms.

Review 49：This is a good hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The staff spoke english and were reasonably friendly. It is a 10 minute walk from the station. The breakfast was excellent with fried and continental options. Bar was slightly on the expensive side but no worse than other facilities. Free wi fi is excellent and there is plenty of parking.

Review 56：We were delighted with our stay at this hotel and would have liked to stay longer.The staff were very friendly and very helpful.The appearance of the hotel was very attractive ,and for us it was in a good location.The zoo was next door to the hotel though we were not able to visit this time, as the main reason for our trip was to see some friends.We would certainly visit again.The food was excellent and we had a fantastic breakfast each day.I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Review 57：I like that it was close to public transport - there is a bus stop noteven a minute away from the hotel and nor is the train station far.Two minutes away is the Ouwehands zoo, which my son enjoyed.

Review 59：Wonderful location: a quiet place on the outskirts of a small town, in a forest, 10 min walk from the raiway station and the nearest town, next to a bus stop where the bus will take you to other nearby locations in under 1/2 hour. Next to a zoo, which is good for vacations with children, and the hotel offers discount tickets to the zoo. The rooms are small but well-equipped, good breakfast, bike rental on the spot.

Review 60：Room 302 is very close to the machine room of the elevator and after 7am it gets busy and the noise from the elevator makes it hard to sleep further...
