Reviews for Pousada Naturalia

Review 1:Nothing.

Review 2:Superb location and clean and comfortable rooms. Staff are amazing and very helpful. Diego the manager was extremely attentive to our needs and always went the extra mile. Thank you.

Review 3:The ilha grande is becoming a big garbage (especialy the city center) with many dogs eatings the garbages left around. It smells and is disgusting. I am worried that this paradise is now becoming an uncontrolled/under regulated touristic place that would be too avoid.

Review 4:The poussada's location is great, there is really friendly staff, a good breakfast (could vary from one day to another), the room is clean with a nice view on the bay.

Review 5:You have to ask for eggs for breakfast - it's not clear that this is how it works, that you have to ask for it.

Review 6:Super helpful staff, exotic fruit for breakfast and an amazing view - you can spend a lot of time just swinging on the hammock and watching wildlife around you (there's plenty of birds flying around)

Review 7:The breakfast was delicious, staff was really really kind and generous. Super lovely place, really enjoyed the space and the location. also what a beautiful island!!!

Review 8:Must check the location on the Google map, it is wrong. This only 'bad' thing

Review 9:Assistance of owner was very helpful. The location is on the small slope and you can observe very wonderful Seaview. Also you live in the real botanic garden. The staff was friendly and helped with advices.

Review 10:This is a beautiful pousada with a relaxed atmosphere, knowledgeable & friendly staff, and a truly magnificent view from the room. It is a bit of a climb with suitcases, but definately worth the trouble! I hope I can come back one day, I would love to see more of the island and enjoy this pousada again.

Review 11:Should give better directions on their booking.com listing

Review 12:Great pousada on the Island. Staff is great and helpful in many languages. Rooms, views, breakfast, and location are all really nice

Review 13:Comfort, cleanliness, location, breakfast, the staff and manager. Wifi in common area worked ! Just an amazingly beautiful island. And the rates are very reasonable.

Review 14:The only things upset me were minor: the bed is a bit too hard for me, but not impossible to make yourself comfortable with pillows. The ceiling fan in our room only had one speed, super fast and-about-to-take-off, and to turn on the AC you need to ask for a remote at the front desk; but it was fresh enough for us to just sleep with the shutters unblocked by glass.

Review 15:We were stressing out about many things on the way to the island, but it all melted away as we were met by the friendliest and chillest staff I've ever encountered. Greeted not with numbers and credit card machines but with a tray of fresh watermelon juice, water and chilled towels to freshen us up before we were shown the spacious, neat and pleasant rooms, given an overview of the area and what to do, and left with a fridge full of items priced the same as the supermarket (!). So, kick back, have a beer on a hammock literally a few dozen meters from the sand and candle lit cafés. Amazing experience.

Review 16:Pousada Naturalia made my stay on Ilha Grande incredible. This island is a paradise itself, but Pousada Naturalia's team made our stay feels like home. If you have the chance, take a room with sea front view! It was amazing.

Review 17:The breakfast area is a bit dark The pousada is away from the beach (so you cant have breakfast and watch the sea) and the road to it is quite steep (10-15 meters). This enables you to watch the bay from your room but could be an issue for certain people.

Review 18:Great staff, always helpful, answering all questions, speaking their languages. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit and nice bread rolls. Nice view of bay from room

Review 19:Beds were hard for our preference, but we would stay here again

Review 20:Location (away from main part of town and ocean view), hospitality of staff, gorgeous grounds, hammock

Review 21:Leaving too soon

Review 22:The view from the room is breath taking. It feels like being immersed in nature, but with all the comforts. The staff is really nice and helpful.

Review 23:Beautiful sea view from room. Wonderfully located a little way up from the beach on the edge of the Atlantic rainforest. Very good cafes/restaurants a few metres from the front of the pousada. Excellent service. When we arrived, we were greeted with fresh juice, cake and an introduction to places to see in Ilha Grande. Every morning one of the staff will drop by our table to have a friendly chat, ask us about our plans for the day and give recommendations. Sumptuous breakfast with fresh juices and platters of tropical fruits. Wifi is only available in the main lobby but in the afternoon there's always coffee/tea and cake served there, so it's great to check emails and have a tea break at the same time. Not having wifi in our room also helped us to disconnect.

Review 24:You can get there through streets (streets are made of sand), but it is much quicker crossing the beach on foot. This means carrying the suitcases through sand, which is not ideal... We could have paid somebody to take them there but couldn't find anybody at that time. The place is also almost at the end of a quiet steep street. Again, not really good to get there with luggage, but this also allows to an amazing view from your private balcony :) Also, mosquitos everywhere, but this is normal in the rainforest!

Review 25:The hosts Diego and Eri were amazing. Super helpful and friendly. Eri recommended a place to have dinner close to the pousada called Lua e mare, which was superb. They also organised somebody to carry our lugagge on a trolley for free when leaving.Breakfast was also really good with different juices and fruits.

Review 26:Nothing at all

Review 27:Let me count the ways... It was excellent from the start: Laurent emailed before our arrival to talk to us about how we could find the pousada, ways of paying and so on. When we arrived: very comfortable beds, AMAZING view from the balcony (I had the best times just relaxing on the balcony, enjoying the SPECTACULAR view), fantastic breakfast spread and very very helpful staff that spoke perfect English and French. I absolutely adored the place

Review 28:nothing.

Review 29:The hosts are very welcoming, helpful and speak english (rare!) The rooms on the second floor with the see view were just wonderful as everything else there!

Review 30:Quite situation, beautiful view, very helpful and friendly staff. Open air space for breakfast; daily at 4 p.m. complimentary coffee and pastries. A lot of good communication with travelers from other countries.

Review 31:Cold water for the showers, but comprehensible since the heating plant is based on solar power. And cold water shouldn't be a probem in the average weather conditions of the isand. Powercut, but we had been warned in advance by the hosts that could happen, so we had torches with us and was also romantic!

Review 32:Great location: imersed in nature, few steps from the beach andthe best fish restaurants in town, and rooms with amazing views. Excellent staff: everybody was friendly and took care of any needs we had, speaking a lot of languanges fluently Excellent breakfast

Review 33:Room was unimpressive and dated with a slight musty odor. Not beachfront.

Review 34:Beautiful views from the balcony and a short walk to the beach as well as staff that went above and beyond to help in our logistics. Great breakfast with an assortment of tropical fruits.

Review 35:Sewage smells occassionally from bathroom sinc. Would not recommend to anyone who wants to be right in the town centre, but the walk is pleasant and not far at all.

Review 36:Nice, natural, peaceful. Balcony with view and hamoc was beautiful.

Review 37:Nothing

Review 38:Very charming hotel Nice staff and owners Good breakfast Nice welcome with coffee and cakes

Review 39:Nothing - it was perfect!

Review 40:Beautiful accommodation Amazing views from the room Great breakfast Helpful and friendly staff

Review 41:Wifi doesn't work in the rooms.

Review 42:Helpful hosts.

Review 43:Good location in quiet part of main town. Lovely view from the room. Friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast

Review 44:Diego the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location was wonderful overlooking the bay. Loved it.

Review 45:Location close to beach. Views. Balcony. Beautiful, clean comfortable rooms. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

Review 46:The hotel provided excellent service.the host was amazing !! Very nice rooms and very clean .Defenently will return .

Review 47:Excellent location close to all attractions, bars, marina... Beautiful view from the balcony.

Review 48:Could only stay 1 night as was fully booked :(

Review 49:Staff were very helpful Good price for a beautiful room switch sea view Modern bathroom Close to the beach and restaurants

Review 50:Bit difficult to find from the pier.

Review 51:We particularly enjoyed the quiet location and the kindness of the staff, always willing to help/give advice. Remarkably good breakfast with fresh tropical fruits, different breads, cakes, etc. Good sized room with a balcony and wiews to the sea. We would recommend Pousada Naturalia without any doubt.

Review 52:The distance from the town made the area quiet and more secluded. But it also made it a bit difficult to get to and from the pousada. Carrying luggage across a mile of sand can be surprisingly exhausting!

Review 53:Everything was absolutely wonderful. The staff were friendly and engaging, the rooms were kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, the views from the balcony were outstanding, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. It had all modern amenities combined with a bit of a rustic feel. The only thing more amazing is the fact that a room with an ocean view here can be had for under $100.

Review 54:The only way to get to the pousada is via the beach, which is difficult to walk on barefoot/or with sandals on as the sand is very coarse. Breakfast was served outside (covered terraced area), which can be nice, but meant that the food was often covered in ants/flies. Small bed.

Review 55:Clean rooms. Lovely balcony with hammock. Close to a good BBQ place.

Review 56:Does not accept credit card, and the island has no ATM machine.

Review 57:Isabel was very kind and helped us on whatever we needed. The front view of the beach from the balcony is great! Very peaceful and 8min walking from the village center

Review 58:there is nothing i didn't like it was all great!

Review 59:the location and the design of the place. easy to get too. really friendly and helpful manager. great breakfast and very pretty all around

Review 60:Pousada Naturalia is a terrific place to stay on a paradise island; quiet, clean, comfortable, in the middle of nature (many different colourful birds) and at only 100m from the beach. Rooms have nice balconies with fantastic seaview. We only regret we couldn't stay longer than 3 nights. Breakfast is delicious, with plenty of choice; fresh fruit and juice, local backery and pastry, cheese, ham and good coffee. Yann and Isabelle (both are poliglots) were great hosts and gave us all useful tips and advise. Also the other staff members were very friendly, this team knows all about hospitality. Thank you for this and we hope our comment will encourage other visitors to book at your Pousada. Ariane, Patrick and Eleni Belgium

Review 61:It was a beautiful and very clean pousada. We had a great sea view from our room. The breakfast was amazing and all the food was fresh. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Review 62:Slightly elevated location to provide beautiful views of the beach sea.Relaxing hammock on the patio. Great breakfast each morning served in aopen garden area. But most of the all the owner and staff make you feelwelcome and just like family. Isabel took care of our every needpromptly with a beautiful smile. We look forward to visit again.

Review 63:I didn't like having to leave when our vacation was over :(

Review 64:This places was amazing, the manager/owner Ian is very friendly end extremely helpful. He welcomes you when you arrive, with water and juice, and every morning he talks to every guest to make sure everything is fine and gives them tips on what to do in this amazing island. Ilha grande is a hidden treasure, this place is the most beautiful and fun island I've been so far. Is two hours from Rio de Janeiro, plus the one hour boat ride, but it feels like an international spot, with people from all over the world visiting the island.

Review 65:Unique and natural pousada built into the mountainside with decent views of the bay and ocean. Isabelle and Jan were incredible hosts, patiently spending time very day offering alternatives and insights as to how spend our time on this beautiful island.

Review 66:well......considering the quality of the other local pousadas..this place is a paradise....pure paradise....a paradise floating above a sea of dirty, trash heaped, mean spirited mediocrity, kind of like heaven is supposed to be.......so I am told...

Review 67:everything...from management treating you like family, to the great views from the spotless rooms, to the wonderful breakfasts....excellent in all respects....

Review 68:No wifi in the rooms.

Review 69:Friendly, personal and valuable service Excellent rooms with exclusive views Quiet place and perfect location Beautiful 'zen' design.

Review 70:The staff was friendly and very accommodating! The breakfast buffet put out every morning was healthy and delicious!

Review 71:Mosquitos

Review 72:Breakfast and very helpful staff

Review 73:Nothing I didn't like :)

Review 74:Very beautiful pousada, super friendly and helpful management, great location - two thumbs up!

Review 75:Everything!
