Review 1：Reservation was to include 2 free buffets. The hotel does not offer this any longer and told me to tell booking.com to remove it from the offer. I should be re-imbursed for the difference in cost. I reserved the room which was to include the free buffets!

Review 9：No gym, at check in the person that checked me in was not too friendly. An older lady checked in my daughters and she was straight out rude. Don't really need that, we drove 4 1/2 hours and that is the last thing that I needed!!!!

Review 11：When we drove into the "Sign-In" area I had to pull up into the Valet area. A valet came out and asked what did I want and I told him I had to Resister, then I needed a Valet to take my luggage to me room after I registered. He was very curt with me and pointed out I was parked in the Valet area and the register area was back as I drove in. I then told him I needed the 3 services and that should be sufficient... When I registered I made arrangements to request a 12th floor room facing the river but I received a room facing the river on the 6th floor. I made the request when I made the reservation because this is our 3rd stay and my wife enjoys that 12th level. We were surprised that we did not receive passes for the Boat ride we had had on the last 2 stays and asked the register clerk and she stated we did not have it as part of our register. We did request that we be allowed to charge meals to our room and the register clerk stated she added it but when we had dinner that evening we were turned down because our register did not allow it. We paid the bill ourselves and went to the register area and asked what had happened with our request and was told the original person taking the request did not enter it completely. The manager of the registrations stated the system should have allowed the purchase. We do not know why it did not but we do know and experienced that it was turned down.... I will end for now and cease wasting time for you to read and me to type...

Review 12：I was not pleased with the selection of food for the morning buffet, there use to be more to choose from.

Review 14：Bed and pillows were awful and they claim to have the most comfortable pillows in the world. Staff was slow to get things done. In regards to dining, we made reservations and had to wait an hour to get in once we arrived on time.

When I got to my room, there were pubic hairs in the draws and bathroom, coffee spilled on the counters and phone,feces smeared on the light switch in the bathroom.Looked like it hadn't been dusted or vaccumed in a while, beds may not have had clean sheets. Moved to another room, when I called the desk about my remote not working, the lady at the desk was very rude.

Review 24：The mattress was paper thin and the room was so dated. The drain in the tub was clogged and took forever to drain. Breakfast buffet was like prison food.

Review 25：The bed was the most uncomfortable thing ever! My husband and I would end up in the middle of the bed facing each other (as in a letter v) and would have to climb out of the bed in the morning. We've stayed at The Tropicana several times and they have great mattresses and upgraded sheets!! Needless to say, our backs were aching bc of it!! The young man at the pool who supervised was unprofessional. He would walk around us like a hawk looking for outside beer. We even had a friend who had a room adjacent to the pool and he said we could not store our ice chest in his room bc it was against the hotel's policy!! However, I did see several young women pulling out beer after beer from their coolers and he never said a word!!

Review 26：The breakfast was yummy! And all the staff at the restaurants were very friendly and helpful.

Review 27：Location was nice, hotel comped breakfast buffet and river cruise. Hotel had 2 pools, which is nice, but still not enough pool chairs if you get down there later than 11 on Fri-sun. Both pools can get crowded on these hot days. Overall a good stay for the money. We love the river walk.

They said all rooms were taken even though I had already requested a non smoking room. Room had mariguana on the floor.I had room key problems ect... it was a nightmare of a stay. By the time we left property all my cleaned clothes smelled like smoke. I don't understand how you can you conduct business with this hotel. I will not use your website nor recommend your website with friends and family.

Review 45：The bed was too soft and we both rolled into the middle of it each night. The pool-man on duty took his job way to seriously and made people quite uncomfortable. He would come by and check for outside liquor every ten minutes or so. However, he did let some people keep their own bags with beer inside.

Review 46：The room was clean, neat, and comfortable. The pool *3rd floor was clean and neat. I loved the mountain view from the 3rd floor pool! The fast-food restaurants are a nice improvement. The grill has great coffee and a great ,morning croissant sandwich. The casino smells so much better than before! You are not overwhelmed with cigarette smoke!!

Review 47：Not enough available elevators at checkout time, causing an inordinate amount of time to get down to first floor for checkout. Also, security seemed to be very lax on kids in casino area. Bathrooms in casino area need serious update.

Review 49：husband was bite twice by spiders. Elevators wait time was more then 25-30 minutes during check out time, and in the early evening time for dinner time. Security was having some people use service elevator. Bowling alley was available for uses on Saturday 8/1/15 until 9:30 pm

They don't acknowledge you when you've been in line for more than 15 minutes, when you ask for help they were rude. Seating ushers in buffet were kind of rude on Sunday. Monday breakfast at buffet was not up to par with the rest of hotel, options were extremely limited.

Review 57：Had to take a smoking room, booking.com does not hold your room in the event of a credit card glitch. Fixed small credit card problem, but no one tells you your reservation gets canceled and rebooked, and you get whatever is available. Had a headache from smoke smell.

Review 59：Booking.com and Riverside Resort did not inform me that the hotel was sold out of non smoking rooms. The casino would not honor the non smoking reservation. I told them that I had (2) young children and did not want a smoking room that is why I reserved a non smoking room. I either had to deal with the room or try and find another hotel with vacancies last minute, which would have been outrageous expensive. The hotel blamed booking.com for the issue. Also, I was supposed to receive (2) free buffet tickets and (2) cruise tickets. The registration desk tried telling me that I was not supposed to get them. I actually had to show a supervisor my confirmation email that stated I was supposed to receive them. This hotel had the rudest registration desk I have ever encountered.

Review 65：Not able to get a discount on any meal in the hotel when checked in. Response was if you didn't get thru the inter net, we can't help you. Always nice to be offered during the stay.

Review 66：We booked a nonsmoking room due to one of my children has asthma they only had smoking rooms available. So they said they would give the room an ozone treatment which meant we could not get in the room for 1 hour. However it is was either not done or ineffective so we had to change hotels, of course now at top rate so cost us a great deal.

Review 76：Room cleanliness- coffee spoon fell behind dresser and then we saw the trash and cow webs. Room was only vacuumed the second day after we left a note to please do so and to pick up dirty washcloth from floor. Very poor housecleaning. Breakfast on the 29th we had to go to the Aquarius.

All extra charges did drop off about a week and a half after but still when I went to front desk they didnt know what the charges were for and just kept saying theyd drop off. I also didnt like the energy saving card, I like to come back from the river to a nice cold hotel room.

Review 84：Carmen at the register check-in 5pm - 7:30pm department stated booking.com does not notify riverside hotel if there is a request for non-smoking or smoking room for stay in. I myself was very upset due to the fact I have asthma and will not tolerate the location. I asked Carmen to please provide us a non smoking room as requested on booking.com Carmen then stated she would need to speak with her manager and she then walked away from registering section and returned 15 minutes later, my child was very tired from our long drive and heat it was bed time. Carmen then stated there is nothing she can do her manager states no other room available. I asked to contact the check-in department early morning for available rooms the next day and she stated "I can try". Carmen provided next available representative name Anthony. I had the most unsatisfied stay on Friday night with asthma very active and having trouble to breath my kids were confused as to why our towels had a strong stench of nicotine, there were cigarette buds under the bed! it was very disturbing and uncomfortable for my child and I. finally the following day I attempted to request a stay in a non smoking room with Anthony and he later stated I would have to pay additional charge. I was outraged with all this false information being provided to myself and the employees not able to provide any service because of my health condition. need I explain our time at the buffet for breakfast..my family group of 2 had to wait 30-45 min for the servers to seat us at a table while letting the other groups behind us seat first. I later complaint and asked for answers the server at the tables states she was told by front server who sends the groups that my family and I were with a group of 20 people! I had no words to explained the frustration and stress I simply asked the front server to speak with her manager she then used her pen to point directions of where I should go and find the manager.

Review 85：breakfast in the newly remodel restrant wasn't that good very bland taste, ordered eggs over medium and they were raw inside. not a good selection I felt.

Review 87：The beds were very hard & uncomfortable, pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The carpet was wet. The room smelled like mildew and sewer. The shower didn't drain well, there wasn't a fan in the restroom. The pool needed more lounge chairs,and a few tables with chairs would be good.

Review 88：The pillows we're small and lumpy, the maid didn't come 1 of the days, the black out curtains had moth holes, the maid never replenished the shampoo or soaps, we ran out of toilet paper.

Reserved 4 nonsmoking rooms 3 nights and Mountain View room, I was told all non-smoking rooms were gone but could upgrade for $159 a night, we weren’t prepared to pay the additional fee. We had to wait three hours to go in rooms while they tried cleaning the air. The rooms still smelled like an ashtray and we got to look at a wall. Went back later to registration desk to pick up buffet coupons they didn’t have earlier, while standing there new check-ins were being given nonsmoking rooms. We tried the buffet the next morning it was awful the food was cold and bacon was raw. The café next to buffet was better. I just got home and checked my charge against my booking and I was overcharged on two of the rooms.

There were cigarette burns everywhere. The bathroom was dirty and had to keep the fan on the whole time which added to more noise. The door to the balcony didn't have a lock. The graveyard front desk staff was not nice.
