Reviews for Hotel Ticuán

Review 1:The only thing I didn't like was at the restaurant I'm not talking about the food I'm talking about when it come down to paying the bill. I paid in USA money which was $40 dollars my bill was $21.47 out of $40 so I should be getting back $18.53 so I gave the waiter $10 dollars of tip so my leftover should be $8.53 so when I went to complain about it the lady got all maday say if I was sure like really do you know how to count. .lol.but all was good just remember if you pay in USA Dollars make ur count too ....lol because you just never know

Review 2:I love the fact that is close to everything and is a beautiful hotel I got the master suite couldn't expect more best room ever we love it. it's a clean hotel some good friendly staff but over love the place

Review 3:The room was to hot for me, I could not regulate the temperature in side or the room. It was necessary to open the window.

Review 4:Location is amazing. It is easy to find funny places. The taste's food in the restaurant is so delicious.

Review 5:Had problems with the RCA alarm clock and setting the thermostat.

Review 6:Friendly staff; most speak English. E.g., Miguel who served breakfast lived 12 years in San Diego and was credit to the hotel. Tried to teach me Spanish. Very decent hotel in central location.

Review 7:The front desk doesn't help out at all. Glad I didn't stay at this hotel, I could've been charged 0 dollars for my reservation, but the lady at the front desk answered the phone 1 day before my reservation decided to tell me that her supervisor was going to take care of the cancellation. Guess what? Their was never a cancellation and I was charged. I didn't even stay nor I got to the hotel yet I was charged. Even though it wasn't my fault because if the front desk staff would've given me correct info. I wouldn't be as disappointed.

Review 8:Air conditioner/heater didn't work. Elevator kinda shaky

Review 9:Pretty interiors, nice staff, room with nice view of city, good shower, room safe, location near everything

Review 10:Free breakfast is just for one people for per room, even we stayed 2 people in double bed room.

Review 11:Hotel Staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, free parking and wireless

Review 12:1.- we stayed on 614 and the Friday night Noice it was just to much. 2-. when I did the reservation I ask for a silent, quiet room and they didn't respect that, and they came up with a story saying that all of the quite rooms were all ready reserved when I did my reservation almost one month ahead, of course I didn't believe on that. 3.- please respect reservations concerns.

Review 13:I like the location close to almost everything some of them at walking distance.

Review 14:Out of more than 50 visits over the years I only had one minor bad experience in which I was charged $2 extra for a missing hand towel at checkout. I did not take the towell!

Review 15:Favorite TJ hotel for last 7 years. Excellent quality, value, security, convenience and service. Restaurant food and service amazing. Very English friendly.

Review 16:I had a little issue when I got to the reception and the lady wanted to charge me a different higher price other than the special offer I got here in booking online but at the end it all worked well I got my special offer.

Review 17:I like the area of the hotel close to all the restaurants and stores.

Review 18:Front desk ask you to wait in lobby to have staff check your room before completing checkout.

Review 19:Very nice room. Lots of security inside/outside..Free parking and breakfast.

Review 20:Check in was efficient but very unfriendly. Did not feel welcomed there at all. No smiles, no eye contact. After checking in, the bathroom sink was noticeably dirty. Blue toothpaste still in the sink. Made the rest of the room feel suspect as to cleanliness.

Review 21:Free parking.

Review 22:Safe easy parking. Taxis always in front. Several security guards. Security camaras. I ordered ministroni Soup and a chefs salad to my room. Best soup.

Review 23:Uncomfortable parking access on foot.

Review 24:Spacious room, excellent system of illumination, very sustainable, cleanness, delicious dishes to try at the Albahaca's restaurant.

Review 25:This Hotel is by far one of the best stays I've had in Tijuana. It's conveniently located in the heart of the downtown. Walking distance to everything. The accommodations are great. They offer friendly service, free wifi everywhere and a nice bar in the lobby. Most definitely recommend that you stay here when visiting Tijuana.

Review 26:The first night we were on a very noisy side of the hotel, but our room was changed as soon as we asked to be moved.

Review 27:We loved the newness of the hotel and all of the workers. We especially loved the restaurant

Review 28:Unfriendly front desk staff. Deliberately put me in a room that was facing the discoteque. Loud music playing until 7 am from the discoteque.

Review 29:The rooms are comfortable.

Review 30:The workings of the parking garage is much to be desired. After returning from a 7 day trip they had no record of my car. Didn't know where it was and could not find my keys. It all turned out ok but it was a stressful adventure for a tired traveler. I will stay there again. Things just work differently in Mexico.

Review 31:The rooms were furnished much nicer that I expected.

Review 32:On booking.com site, I requested breakfast, when I got there, there was none on my reservation or was it offered to me

Review 33:The room was very nice & clean. Very comfortable.

Review 34:Nothing bad to say about this hotel you'd love it

Review 35:When I first got to the hotel I was amazed by the cleanliness and their staff. The room was very clean very comfortable and all your amenities were there I would stay again. We ordered room service came very quickly and it was delicious .

Review 36:Its a top notch hotel. The food is great, sometimes I only come to eat. Ive been coming here for a few years, its nice to see the same people working here, like old friends.

Review 37:No pool =(

Review 38:It is close to almost everything you'd want to do ( if your going to party and what not) but say like a block away from everything so not to noisy and you get a free blast

Review 39:I loved everything about Hotel Ticuán.

Review 40:The staff helped me make my reunion with Abel Valerio Romero more memorable and romantically because they played a vital role in making it possible. Thank you Ticuán Staff for your cooperation in making us both me (Lulu) and Abel very happy. We will return every chance we can to relive and recapture that moment of our lives. And yes, Abel propose to me and I said Yes, I will marry him. I love this Hotel Ticuán. Thank you all very much. We will never forget it.

Review 41:I would not recommend this hotel for a family with kids. The noise from Revolution Blvd would not be suitable. This is a singles or couples hotel.

Review 42:The hotel was close to everything. The restaurants, clubs and the casino are steps away from the hotel.

Review 43:The wifi, is to weak I call some many times if they can fixed, but they can't! !!

Review 44:Was a exelent service, very kind people, and the guys of the bar, Exelent, especiality Manuel, good customers service

Review 45:Noise is a significant problem in this hotel. If you are on the Calle Revolution side forget getting any sleep. The noise from the Las Puglas Club next door is almost intolerable. From 10 pm to 6 am was thumping bass so loud it drowned out the TV at full blast. Staff was able to move us the following day to a room on Calle Constitution which was pleasant. The facilities and staff at this hotel are excellent and otherwise this is an amazing place to stay.

Review 46:People smoking inside of the building !!!!! Smells and is not please t at all !!! I won't go back to this hotel , I don't like the smell, I dont want to smell or be around smokers !!!! Midst for that I won't recomend it. !!

Review 47:Service was great !

Review 48:The only thing I didn't like was about the breakfast that suppose to be for free but only if you go downstairs not a your room service

Review 49:everything was good

Review 50:Credit card fraud from staff. They tried to charge $158 for an airline ticket. My credit card company caught this and denied it. Caution...I still recommend the hotel but don't use credit card.

Review 51:Very clean. Nice rooms. Location in Tijuana close to everything.

Review 52:I had to pay for breakfast and the restauarant isn't cheap and food quality is average at best. Order the coffee for 20 pesos you get free toast along with free refills

Review 53:All the staff can speak excellent English, and the rooms are very clean. Each room has a safe

Review 54:Check in 5:30 pm room was not clean. Ask for iron & iron board only iron available. Promise iron board next day & they don't have. I need to buy one. Cero Internet. Need to go to the front desk twice a day to re- program the key.

Review 55:Price

Review 56:Windows didnot avoid completely the loud music coming from the bars that are close to the hotel.

Review 57:This hotel has security guards on service all the time, very comfortable and clean suites; very polite staff and delicious food.

Review 58:The room was not ready ny 3pm. We were offered a different room with no tub. We refuse and eventually the room we reserved was only ready at 4pm. The room has no rerigerator.

Review 59:Has jacuzy type hot tub. Restauant near by clean and good fod.

Review 60:that check in starts at 3 it should be anytime u get their

Review 61:i always like staying at ticuan good service and good location the only thing is rooms get booked too fast

Review 62:it just needs a better insulation to avoid the noise of the streets, only when you go there and try to sleep, maybe a swiming pool be great too.

Review 63:specially that it is very close to everything, it,s clean good service and very comfortable.

Review 64:Parking was sometimes difficult with security personal saving spaces for special event participants instead of me, a paying guest.

Review 65:The staff and food service.

Review 66:Internet is the big problem, cut out multiple times for long periods. When contacting reception, they didnt know how to reset the router. Was woken up 1.5 hours before checkout to see if im staying another night. They didnt have exension chord. Check in 3pm, checkout out 12pm, lights were flickering. But reception and internet are the worst.

Review 67:nice bed, great cable tv

Review 68:Light too dim in room Carpet in room need deep cleaning Telephone not operational Revolution side very noisy at night on weekend.

Review 69:*friendly and helpful staff *cleanliness

Review 70:Probably due to my own ineptitude the AC is feast or famine. We either freeze or bake.

Review 71:Clean, new well decorated, well located and the staff is wonderful

Review 72:I had to change room from north side of Hotel to south side due to excessive noise levels from adjoining Las Pugas dance hall that plays loud music until 5 am.

Review 73:Nice location, good food, and friendly staff.

Review 74:D check in was very bad..I had a reservation for me and my wife..and I got a dobble bed room..d price was not d same as it show on booking.com not coming back

Review 75:The bathroom towels....! I could have removed the paint off my car with them....!

Review 76:This Hotel is centrally located offering great value for your money. The room was clean & quiet and the staff was very pleasant.

Review 77:Ticuan is centrally located in the downtown Tijuana area. As soon as i walked in the place looked really modern, clean, n friendly staff. My room greeted me with a fresh scent of cleanliness. The AC was blasting and work perfectly. very nice, clean, and comfortable rooms. one of the rooms we stayed in had a very clean jetted tub and it was definitely spacious and comfortable. I am defifnitely making this place my usual place to stay. Try it!!

Review 78:A minus for this hotel was the customer service offered by the front desk. The ladies checking in guest are rude. I've been here on multiple occasions and every time has been the same. They hold conversations and don't acknowledge you waiting until they are done talking.

Review 79:This hotel has an excellent location. It's located a few steps from Avenida Revolution. It's comfort and cleanliness is a plus. We have stayed here on multiple occasions and have been very satisfied. The friendly service offered by the staff at the bar was awesome to say the least. This hotel is our favorite.

Review 80:It does not bother me because I like to party but the music at night on fri-sat can be loud til about 3-4am (to avoid that get the junior suites that have no exterior windows, maybe some are regular rooms but i noticed only junior suites were in middle of hotel). I wish they can install a rooftop pool and a gym somewhere, besides that I love the place.

Review 81:Location is perfect for my likes, it's close enough to Revolution Ave but far enough from the dirt and grim of it all (except for Las Pulgas next door but I don't mind). Master suite I recommend it if you can (duvet cover is comfortable compared to the other rooms with comforters given instead), the hotel is very accommodating to almost ANY need, the staff are amazing and also extremely helpful at all hours. Jacuzzi takes about an hour to fill so think ahead :)

Review 82:Check in was rude. not that this is a bad thing but if u want to sleep remember you are in the middle of party town, so the nose outside is massive and does fill the room till around 5am or more

Review 83:Great room, clean, parking, valet. Was given great advice to go to ceasers hotel, ( brilliant food).

Review 84:They gave us a tiny room the Walls had black scuff marks all over the walls the carpet was stained the room smelled terrible .they called it a business room . We complained and they moved us to a nicer room on the 7th floor

Review 85:The staff was very nice except the maintenance man and maid had a very loud argument outside our room at 8 in the morning

Review 86:Its staff charged me for a extra night and made a mistake and had to charge me more afterwards witch was weird???

Review 87:Great location ! Very well maintained! Very clean! Good internet

Review 88:every thing was excellent

Review 89:I took my parents with me and they're in their late 80's, they felt right at home. That will always be my place to stay from now on when visiting Tijuana. My heartfelt thanks.

Review 90:-I stayed at two hotels on this trip with a block away from each other; In my opinion Hotel Ticuán is a bit expensive for the location when you can stay at the Creaser’s Hotel for half the cost (with "almost" the same quality!) ($68 vs $34) -Wi/Fi Connectivity can be improved. -No mini-refrigerator in the room

Review 91:-Very Clean and comfortable - Having good size Safety Deposit Box in the room

Review 92:All staff was very nice, free parking, free WiFi, excellent room, decoration, shower water pressure was the best, drinks in the bar were great as well as the service from the bartender and waiters. We will definitely be back.

Review 93:Carpet had stains, beds were just average and rather small, bathroom door didn't lock, lights were too dim in the whole room, ice machine in just one floor, customer service was terrible and lobby bathrooms were gross. Overall price for Tijuana is a tad to the upscale side but it is definitely not worth it.

Review 94:Location.

Review 95:Only thing that is wrong is that you need to reserve because there is almost never vacancy

Review 96:Rooms are very nice and also comfortable. Not that expensive compared to other hotels near by.

Review 97:Our only complaint is that we were not told that from the room we were assigned you can hear the music as if it was next door (which it was)... We complained about the loud music the first night and we were told it was because of the festival. The next night was the same loud music from the lounge next door. When we again complained about the loud music we were told they could move us to another room. By then we were only about 6 hours from checking out. The problem of the loud music is apparently an every weekend problem and should be told to guests upon arrival and let the guests decide whether they want another room or not.

Review 98:Internet /Wi-Fi connectivity could be improved! -no freezer in the room

Review 99:-I dare to compare this hotel to a 4 / 5 stars Canadian hotels without hesitation in terms of comfort, cleanliness and service. -Good size safe deposit box in the rooms. -High quality Bedding.

Review 100:Although the staff was nice enough to put us in the most quiet room, we could still hear music from the clubs near by until late in the morning, which isn't very nice when you have a 5 month old.

Review 101:The staff is awesome, the restaurant is very good and the bartender Jorge is super nice and makes some Really good seasoned olives so you can eat while you drink.

Review 102:Was not told that the suite was located on top of the music all night, had to change room to an interior ( no exterior window ) but quiet

Review 103:Hotel great all around

Review 104:Beds were not the best too small for two adults to share. Beds were also too soft and bouncy. Room wasn't very clean (found hairs and small trash in corners of room and bathroom). Location is not the best but they installed cameras and have security men throughout hotel to make you feel safe.

Review 105:New hotel for the best price in TJ. Granite countertops, luxurious bathroom. Flat screen tvs. Luxury features found throughout the room. Room service provided late night.

Review 106:Rooms clean but inadequate for the following : Remodeled with mood lighting thus making it impossible to read in bed or try to put your makeup on Shower has no hand bars thus we will not return with our mother No electrical outlets near the breakfast table ( we had a suite) making it difficult to work and charge laptop at same time

Review 107:Loved the staff Great restaurant Parking included with room

Review 108:The night club noise from a nearby club. When you check in ask for a room away from the noise.

Review 109:The hotel was great. Very clean. The food in the restaurant was excellent and priced fairly.

Review 110:Centrally located.

Review 111:Beautifully decorated, modern and classic Spanish style. Had a very nice view of El Foro from the room.

Review 112:Front desk staff not to friendly..

Review 113:Great place to stay.. love it..

Review 114:The food, the location and the facilities.

Review 115:Front desk staff...they have an actitud..poor actitud...need 2 improve

Review 116:Location is grate..

Review 117:up keep of the hotelit is an ok hotel

Review 118:location

Review 119:all perfect

Review 120:Everything was great, the staff was very friendly and respectful.

Review 121:Not worth the money. Staff is not helpful. And the FOUR STAR hotel does not provide tooth brush and tooth paste

Review 122:Clean.

Review 123:Everything

Review 124:Thier attitude

Review 125:Staff problems with check in

Review 126:What I didn't like was that they ask you who you would be sleeping with

Review 127:No adjoining rooms

Review 128:Super clean and convienent

Review 129:The Cleanliness it was how they make you feel welcome && secure

Review 130:The staff was rude, cold and unfriendly.

Review 131:Everything was great!!!

Review 132:Friendly, efficient staff. Modern, clean. Great price for a wonderful place.
