Review 12：We arrived at this Resort after a tour of the island on a motorbike looking for a hotel where spend our last two nights in Phuket. Very nice and very large. Private beach. It offers very nice rooms. Great restaurants. Huge pool. Spa. Excellent massages. Really professional, technical and prepared. Very good prices. There is so much personal, fast, friendly and engaging. They offer a free shuttle service to Patong Beach which is nearby. We stayed in a cottage on the beach, certainly the best solution to be close to the sea, restaurants and everything. Surely the rooms on the hill offering a beautiful view but having the beach outside the home is always the best solution. We attended the dinner to celebrate the new year. I want to thank the staff who set it up, they were great, obsessive attention to detail. Yummy food. Good music, Beautiful Thai shows. Really all very good. Just a shame that it ended too soon, and I must point out the lack of lanterns. However the show that gave the Patong bay view from the beach where there was the celebration was special. I recommend it to those who want to relax and enjoy a resort like a holiday village. (On Instagram "ilmatteos" some photos)

Review 13：Very slow service for example i had to wait over 30 mins for two glasses of water with ice. At the end of our stay we were told we had stuff out the mini bar when we didnt.

Review 15：A few little things that for us shouldn't happen in a 5* such as, no welcoming drinks, long time to check in and check out, staff a bit pushy on suggesting expensive extras (dinner on the beach, BBQs, massages). Fighting in the morning to secure a bed on the beach as there are only a few and people dump their stuff on it at 8am to only use it an hour in the afternoon.

Review 16：The gardens are truely impressive. The beach cottage was huge, comfy and clean. Proximity to Patong Beach by free shuttle if you fancy a bit of adventure. Big breakfast choice. Family friendly with a few daily activities to entertain children.

Review 21：It takes a lot of time to get to room (ocean view rooms) by slow funicular. It is kind of fun but if you forget something in the room it can take 20-30 minutes to go up and down. Be prepared to relax and take it easy.

Review 23：There is really no many things I could complain about. Once we went for the Thai cuisine buffet on the beach and I would never recommend it to anyone! The food was awful, I'm a fun of Thai food, but it was just really bad. 4 of us being there shared the same opinion. There is no bar open 24/h same for the room service- close at 23:00. Snorkeling around the hotel is not really exciting, you can see some fish but if it's your priority I would think about different area.

Review 24：Staff was amazing, extremely friendly. The hotel is beautiful, garden, private beach, swimming pool. I went there with my girlfriend and parents( first time in Thailand for them) , we stayed in 2 "honeymoon suites with jazuzzi ". It was just great. It was really sad while we had to check out from this place. It's really close to Patong, but far enough to avoid noise and parties. Thank you for great experience Thavorn!

Review 25：It was our first stay with.....we were amazed with the nature. The resort itself is really nice for relaxation. Quite close to everything. The resort has everything available : shuttle bus to Patong, exchange, restaurants, concierge for trips....big thank you to Marco, but of course to everybody as well. P.S. Review 26：It is fabulous that a free shuttle bus is available into Patong, but one returning a little earlier than 10pm would be great. More often than not we ended up getting a taxi back to the resort from Patong which was a little pricey.

I would recommand eating outside the hotel, not booking tours here, definitly not pay for the massage, not ordering a taxi here, dont even buy a cola or a beer here ;). The shuttle to town will be the best friend for you wallet... The hotel is beautiful, so the price for the hotel itself is ok. I would have given this hotel a 9+ if the hotel would have a shop for water/cola with normal prices, would give honest information about taxi-rides... Just those small things that make you feel like a "guest" instead of a "client".

Review 42：The beach is amazing (very quiet, small beach, not much nearby), the pool is very nice, our room (house on the beach) was beautiful, breakfast-buffet has options for everybody, fitness is limited but good quality material... There is not that much to do in the hotel (almost nothing if you consider their prices), so either you just like spending the whole day on the beach with a book or you need to take the limited (but good, free and always on time) shuttle to town.

Review 46：We had a fantastic stay. Such a wonderful place! They are really modest on their description. Beautiful beach full of coral over the sand. Very good to snorkeling. Full of nature and little cute animals. Kids and adult go crazy with the cute bunny.

Review 47：Amenities in the room were not replenished on a daily basis so I needed to call Housekeeping in order to get more shower gel. I needed a late check out as my flight departed late evening. I was quoted a rate that was far higher than the rate advertised on Booking.com for an entire night's stay. Eventually the guy agreed to drop the rate for my late check-out to the rate on Booking.com even though I didn't stay the night. The resort needs to review their late check out policy and rates.

Review 48：The location is perfect! Close to Patong, but with the peace and tranquility one needs to escape the outside world. The resort offers a free shuttle to and from Patong which is really convenient as taxi fares in Phuket are extremely high. There is so much to do at the resort- water sports, cooking lessons, spa, gym, trails, great restaurants and a private beach. Rooms are neat, well decorated and very spacious. Sai, Amen and Alona ensured that I had a wonderful stay. This resort comes highly recommended and I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Phuket.

Review 72：Unfortunately, some basic details in this amazing hotel are simply not taken care of. The sheets were very old, had sewn holes and were also ripped in several long rips of 10cm. The blue towels were bleached in several spots. In the Old Siam Thai Restaurant the food was poorly made, we had a fish and a curry, the fish was totally dry, not fresh and the food was blend. In the same restaurant we were sat in a table with a dirty towel, and again, with several sewn holes. On arrival we waited in our room for our luggage indefinitely and had to call 3 times to the reception before getting it. This Hotel has an agreement with a taxi company and they will not call public taxis for you, instead, you are obliged to use their 2 to 3 times priced taxi service. The service in this Hotel is very slow in everything, so you should allow 15min just to get a bill. Overall, I would go back to the Hotel but not to the Old Siam restaurant. It is just a shame that they don´t take care of the details that could really add up on the overall pleasant experience.

Review 73：The facilities are very beautiful and the gardens are well taken care of. The breakfast buffet was very varied and simply amazing. The room was very spacious, with a beautiful balcony with an outdoor jacuzzi, all well decorated and arranged. The staff in general was very nice, always smiling and kind. The Bar near the pool had great cakes and was perfect for an afternoon coffee. A lot of friendly bunnies wander around the facilities.

Review 84：the spa was not flexible! we have booked a Thai massage 2 times but never of those were managed by the staff because they have time limit! the spa also has limited staff wherein if we need other therapist they cannot provide as they only have 2! the spa should allocate time for the guests according to the guests availability. it's very important because most of the people wants to relax and thus needs massage but they were never flexible with time! also the price for the massage are quite too high compared to that of Bangkok! even if we stayed in the 5* hotel in Bangkok, still it's cheaper.

Review 86：Pillow is quite high so is not suitable for everyone. Mosquitoes would often get into the room after it has been cleaned. A bottle of personal repellant is provided but would be better if room is given a bottle of bug spray. Could use more bus to Patong. Place is quite secluded and has no other shops etc around but that is expected and obvious when booking.

Review 108：We got sick from staying at the resort and had to go to the hospital with a salmonella infection. We did not eat other places so only place to get was at Thavorn. The resort is a bit out of the way - if you are looking for a tranquil experience this is it. The beach was not so great. The beach pavillions were often taken by people placing their towels early in the morning.

Review 116：Searching for a hotel with good value of money is the most difficult part whenever I go for holiday. I had to search on comments about the hotel so I would have basis on which hotel to choose or not. When I made a booking with Thavorn, I was only looking for a decent comfy hotel to stay during my holiday and I never thought that I will get more than what I have expected! Upon entering the lobby area, I already felt the warmth of the people who received me for check-in. By then, I knew, it was like a home away from home. I stayed for 1 night only but my expectations were like beyond what I have thought of getting. The people are nice, the location is perfect, the foods are great, the swimming pool is absolutely amazing, not to mention the spacious room allocated for me which was right in front of the beach. I could hear the ocean breeze all day and night. Amazing Beach Cottage!. I would definitely come back and stay here again. Will recommend to friends.

Review 117：Sea was very rocky, however the possibility of the hotel boat saves you. a bit distant from the Patong Town center. There are free shuttles to downtown but not between times 15:30-21:30 which you usually look for. however you can find other opportunities easily.

Review 119：This Resort is really beautiful and has its own fairy tale about the Nakalay dragon. I was impressed by nice landscape and nature around the Resort. There are colorful Orchid Garden, many rare plants and trees from the entire world, birds, rabbits, roosters and chickens, turtles, pigeons and goats etc., which makes a staying memorable and outstanding. My compliments to the Owner, who is taking care of nature so well. The resort is located in secluded Nakalay Bay just 20 minutes ride to Patong. It is easy get to Patong , because Hotel provide free shuttle bus to Patong 3 times a day or can use a taxi, which cost 400 Thai Baht per one way. The room, food and service were also fine. It is great that Hotel has a Russian Speaking Manager, Ms.Alena, who made check-in very fast and explained to me about the Resort’s services and facilities. I will choose again this resort for my next trip.

Review 120：Fantastic, hotel have good location that near Patong and have wonderful private beach. All staffs are helpful and Sawasdee guests in all day. In the evening time many rabbits came out then made me to feel as Alice in Wonderland. I absolutely tell that I will back again on next year.

Buffet in the mornings was too much of a free for all, single people taking tables for 4, long queues for eggs etc. I didn't understand the need for 3 different types of potatoes and BBQ chicken on the breakfast menu in the 'European' corner - bizarre for breakfast unless that's a Russian breakfast norm!

Review 130：Great location and stunning sunsets from the beach. Can only swim at high tide due to reef but two fantastic pools help this! The place is stunning and facilities are amazing - highly recommend place to stay...food is my only weakness and it was for Thavorn Beach too. We didn't sample dinner I must add!

Review 131：The facilities were poor, and the service was extremely disappointing. The beach is not for swimming, too many rocks, so we had to go other places to swim. The staff, with the exception of one or two people, showed absolutely no interest in making us feel comfortable or solve any of the issues. We felt they didn't really care about our comfort. We chose the hotel because of the kids club that they advertised but the kids club was no longer open. A lot of the time there were not enough sunbeds on the beach and the staff was reluctant to help bring more of them. The service at the restaurants was pretty poor, and really badly organized. The breakfast was really poor for this standard of hotel. We don't recommend this place, maybe it was good a few years ago but our stay there was very bad value for money.

Review 132：The location is good, quiet place, the gardens are beautiful. Rooms are spacious.

Review 133：The hillside ocean view suites are old, have original fittings and our room smelled of damp, the breakfast buffet is very low standard and badly laid out where it is located adjacent to the outdoor and uncovered seating next to the pool.There are people all around smoking next to diners, food and young kids at breakfast time and few staff attending to the tables to clear away used dishes. The options for an evening meal and drinks in the hotel at night are limited and uninspiring to say the least, the atmosphere around the place is almost non existent and characterless, once this would have been a pleasant resort now it is a run down relic of the past. I do not recommend this hotel for the prices they charge and what is on offer, this place needs to move with the times unfortunately. Do yourself a favour and look at some of the modern hotels around Patong for less money and better facilities, in most cases, as we found when we moved out and went elsewhere.

Review 135：it's too far from the next restaurants; they have a taxi-mafia. you have no chance to book a foreign taxi to pick you up for airport; prices were too high; not enough lies on the beach!

Review 136：the whole ressort is set-up really nice and we enjoyed every day in our solo-bungalow! food was good but the restaurants pricey; perfect stay to relay for couples and families (there is enough place for everyone)

Review 137：Upon checkin, we were told that there was a problem with the water in the Beachfront Cottage we booked (and paid for) 2 months in advance. We were then told that we could not stay in the hotel at all and they had rebooked us elsewhere and that the hotel was fully booked. We did not want to stay somewhere else that they had chosen for OUR holiday and asked for a refund which they said would happen in 3 to 4 weeks! The Hotel Manager refused to refund us in Cash or do an immediate refund to our credit card, as we did not have enough money to go and try to find another hotel at such late notice. When were finally offered a Hillside room which was painful to get to using the Cable Car, and had a filthy smell coming from the room. The staff were rude to us throughout our stay and any small request was very quickly answered with NO. The day we arrived we also met 4 other couples in the pool who had experienced the exact same issue and had also refused to go elsewhere. Very disappointed and will NEVER return to this place.
