Review 1：very poor salad buffet, actually the whole dinner and breakfast buffet weren't very versatile - at least not like they should be in a 4 star hotel.

Review 3：Generally, hotel staff was not very kind. Cleanliness in the room was quite poor (cleaning ladies came only after 14h), as well as in the pool area.Hotel caretaker came into our room after 21 hours to replace the lamp :(

Review 5：Provided wrong check-in time via booking.com email. Didn't answer phones to clarify or allow late check-in notification. I lost one night of booking -- hotel staff didn't try to make any meaningful amends for this (e.g., offer half-board), just charged the full price for the missed night. Manager's lame excuses ("our accounting can't handle the request") weren't helpful, either.

Review 7：The quality/price is not right,rather 3 than 4 stars worth. For a 4 stars hotel the breakfast was rather basic. Fake juices,limited fruit offered etc.

Sea view is worth additional fee. Free parking not so far from the hotel. Staff was very polite and helpful. I had a very pleasant stay at Histrion.

Review 23：We had halfboard, and therefore, dinner was included. However, we could not enjoy any of the food. At the outdoor pools (on the beach but separated from the free area) the hotel guests are asked for additional payment for sunbeds and parasols. At check-out we reminded of items which we consumed from the minimbar, but did not apprear on the invoice. The items were then added to the invoice. Before we left the hotel, the receptionist came to us explaining,that there was an extra bottle of non-sparling water which we did not pay for... (EUR 2,10)...

Review 24：The hotel is a true monument of the socialism: huge and ugly, yet the location is perfect. Most of the guests were seniors, which gave a certain atmosphere to the hotel.

Review 34：Everything is too old, the douche and toilet hardly work, no hood in the bathroom. But the most awful is the restaurant. There is almost 1000 of people at breakfast and dinner. Very hard to find a place. Need to wait until the table will be cleaned. The waiters are rude and try to pay no attention on your needs.

Review 39：The rooms with the sea view are really nice. You may see plenty of yachts and motor boats passing by. They are also more quiet in the evenings and equipped with adjustable sunblinds at the balconies. It is worth extra charge. The hotel is within walking distance to Piran and Portoroz center. The indoor and outdoor pools convenient for little kids.

Review 42：Quite bad staff - first they gave us a smaller room without additional bed, then they tried to let me pay TWICE the price of the room and pay the children too, although in booking.com it was special offer for free stay incl.additonal bed. The cleaning staff also not so reliable. In the restaurant very slow service (wine) - they come quite quick only if paying cash... - The restaurant in the morning is a big confusion, as the food is only in the right wing although another 100 -150 people having breakfast also in the left wing - The food - terrible coffee, juices with water, otherwise just lower average.

Review 78：We did not have the requested beds set up in our room upon arrival. Roomservice brought us 3 of the same dish when we only ordered one but wehad to pay for all 3. Our bell boy rushed to the room leaving us behind.There is no valet parking offered. We had to pay for pool towels. We hadto rent robes. The food was ok...not grand. When requesting towels, theyonly gave us two when we needed 4.the staff was NOT on top of their game. For the price paid, we have stayed in far nicer hotels w adequate staff and attention to detail. Staff didnt look happy to work there and it showed (except for front desk staff.) we will not be revisiting this hotel ever again.

Review 92：The hotel is really big and Soviet-style, was not renovated for a time. Really long aisles to the rooms. A big komplex, really touristic surrounding. In the evenings music is heard from the nearby restaurants.

Review 98：The rooms at Histrion are okay, but not really 4 star quality. They are clean, but rather small - the beds could be wider, and the luggage rack was only just big enough for the suitcase. The shower comprised a high narrow bath with a shower screen rather than a proper shower. The rooms also lack the standard complimentary tea/coffee facilities. The balconies are good sized, but the high concrete wall of the balcony obscured our view of the lagoon when we were sitting in the chairs. Also, the price was a little bit too high. If it had been, say, 20% cheaper, I'd have said Histrion is a great choice!

Review 99：The facilities at Histrion are what makes it a 4 star hotel: the indoor salt water swimming pools are very clean and great if you want to get out of the sun during the heat of the day in summer, or if you have young children (we were travelling with an 18 month toddler) and find going into the sea with them rather difficult. There are many different pools (kids pools with slides and long deep pools for serious swimmers) that you can always find one which is virtually empty, and as a guest at Histrion you also have access to the outdoor swimming pool at Vila Barka. The hotel's private beach is also nice, but can get a bit crowded in summer. The breakfast buffet has a great range of good food and the breakfast room overlooking the sea is beautiful. All the cleaning staff and waiting staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 107：EVERYTHING!!! great hotel! a steal for the money. first of all the location. its half way between PortoRoz and Piran and in walking distance from both; so you get to enjoy both worlds. second the rooms are spacious and have grat ocean views. the staff is so helpful and always in good spirits. and the spa/pools of the hotel are out of this world. really. i started counting the pools and stooped after 6! one day i had leave the hotel early - before breakfast and the staff prepared for me breakfast box the lasted me for the whole day ! and i didn't even ask for it. ho; and the food at breakfast was excellent. so ; as i said- its a bargain . i will defiantly stay there again and again.

Review 108：definitely far from 4*, maybe 30 or more years ago that was 4*, now is far from modern standards, hotel is very old, rooms are small, bed uncomfortable and small, very small bathroom, I sow here some good comment for wellness, but wellness is good only for somebody who don't know for better, 1 small and old sauna and Turkish bath, overpriced, 12 eur for 2h, again far from modern standards, hotel need complete renovation, or they should sell it as 2* or max 3*
