Reviews for Cape Sienna Hotel & Villas

Review 1:It is up a hill and takes about 10 mins to walk down to Kamala beach which looked lovely. A pleasant walk if you are reasonably fit. An abundance of older Europeans and Ruskies lying around the pool made it feel a bit crowded..

Review 2:If you like glamming it up on your holiday - this is the place for you. Great bars and pool / lounge options with a decent breakfast. Great place for sunset drinks. Nice balcony with views over the ocean

Review 3:The only thing that we did not like was the shuttle hours. There were one free shuttle to the Kamala beach and a paid shuttle to the Patong beach only once in a day. We wished there were flexible hours for shuttle. And probably no need even to mention about the wifi as it is a general problem for all hotels in Phuket ))

Review 4:We liked everything. It is situated in a quite part of Phuket, so it is a perfect choice if you are looking for some peace, also it is not too far from the city center if you wish to see the night life, shopping centers. We booked a honeymoon suit with an outdoor spa tub which was really nice and clean. The view from the suit was amazing. Exactly as it was described in the pictures. We were really happy when we were welcomed with cool towels and cold thai tea when we arrived in the reception in hot weather. Breakfast was amazing with wide choice of fresh food and fruits. There were 2 lounches and a pool bar, but as in most hotels prices were higher than outside of the hotel. The hotel does not have a beach but Kamala beach was in a 10 mins walk distance from the hotel where you can also see lots of restaurants, bars, coffee houses, spa salones with affordable prices on the way to the beach. Hotel offers you different tours and activities if you wish, but again you can book them outside of the hotel if you wish something with lower prices as well. Generally it worth a 5 star hotel.

Review 5:Air conditioning was loud & doesn't turn off once it's reached the temp set.

Review 6:Staff extremely friendly & helpful . Breakfast great selection. Shuttle service ideal & reasonable compared to fares taxi drivers were charging. Would definitely go back to stay here.

Review 7:No beach directly in front of the hotel, although Kamala beach is 10min on foot. WI-FI signal was totally unstable and unreliable, a hotel like Cape Sienna should not let this happen. (The hotel policy does not allow children under age of 12 to the hotel, which may sound good for people who want to relax without kids crying or shouting, but I somehow feel this is a discrimination. It simply does not feel right. )

Review 8:The villa, which we stayed at with our friends for the first two days, was absolutely breath-taking, but even the standard ocean-view studio was really great. The ocean view. Large and comfortable beds. The shuttle service to Patong. We got a plate of complimentary food which was a really nice touch.

Review 9:I expected such a nice hotel to have elevators, which was not the case.

Review 10:Very nice view from the room's terrace, fancy furniture and design, luxurious breakfast.

Review 11:The staff don't speak English.. The service poor and the staff not polite..

Review 12:The view from the hotel is amazing. We loved the room with the jacuzzi at the porch . The room was comfortable and big.

Review 13:Taxis around there are a rip-off, prices of the spa were way too expensive. We preferred to call the Spa Oasis, which offered free hotel pick up and drop off, and great quality services

Review 14:We loved the area, very peaceful and walking distance to Kamala beach, but yet short drive to other popular beaches. The hotel was outstanding and comfortable.

Review 15:Cleanliness is not up to my expectation. The jacuzzi has some dirt particles inside.which I have to drain out and refill. And the jacuzzi pump is not working.

Review 16:View from the hotel room is fabulous. The airport transfer is great and the driver actually welcome us with a cold towel. Which is more then what I expected.

Review 17:Room service was especially slow and some simple requests (e.g. healthy breakfast boxes, containing fruit, due to early departure for a bike race) were forgotten about.

Review 18:The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and the chef was accommodating when it came to our dietary requirements.

Review 19:a little overpriced ride from the airport if booked with the hotel

Review 20:great room, spectacular views, breakfast, facilities, great walk to the beach and friendly staff

Review 21:The-lobby staffs didn't have survice mind however the staffs at the resturant were helpful. The toilet had some dirty area. The bathroom also small and had some bad smell.

Review 22:The vanilla sky lounge was very good for relaxing and the cocktail were fabulous. The breakfast was very good and had many kinds of beverages. The bed was very soft and good for sleeping.

Review 23:Breakfast not so tasty, but wide choice

Review 24:Friendly, extremely kind staff (especially Sit and Andrea), beautiful interior with amazing view over the sea, spacious and lovely prepared 'honeymooners' suite. Outdoor jacuzzi with rose petals and some oils...Location is ok, close to the Kemala beach which is decent. I prefer Laguna, Surin or Patong. Breakfast is avarage, but 'Poolside' restaurant delicious. They have a wide choice of international and Asian food. Everything what we ordered was very tasty. I can recommend for couples, less for families with small kids, cox there is no much facilities for them (many stairs, pretty deep pool).

Review 25:The deskclerk. immediately asked for credit card. Did not even say a proper hi or welcome. The bathroom was dirty with a showerhead full of mortar. Quality of breakfast bad, Frenchfries were drowning in oil. Nit crispy at all. The state of the facilities (Need renawal) Welcome fruits were on the ledge of the balcony and these were placed in the room on the second day. Either way. Waaay overpriced for what you get.

Review 26:Kindness of the cleaners and the view.

Review 27:There should be more items in breakfast, specifically non pork items.

Review 28:Room, ocean view, swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa, hotel was very open, enough natural light and air

Review 29:Old bath room, the staff didn't recognize we have booked the room for three nights and the key card was expired on the second night even we notified them in the morning of that day since we saw the detail was incorrect in room card.

Review 30:Very soft bed, many kind of breakfast

Review 31:The staff quite ride except at the Pool bar, cleaning and Concierge, low level of service at front desk. Very compelling in terms of timing (bar close at 23h30, pool at 20h30...)

Review 32:The view, the location

Review 33:The restaurants are open only till 11 o'clock

Review 34:We liked the hotel very much and staff Yut, Pia, Dada,Gift, Pueng Racha or Rachi (i forgot her name) they were very helpful. All are very concerned, courteous.

Review 35:Plum restaurant fine dining we would not recommend found a fly baked inside bread.also very expensive when poolside food is better food.

Review 36:Staff were very welcoming and helpful.we felt right at home.

Review 37:It is difficult to get out to nearby town, since we had hired bike, didn't face a lot of issue with this. At check-in we were informed that we need to pay 2000 Baht per night of stay as refundable deposit. Well... in a vacation staying 4 night at Cape Sienna, having to keep 8000 Baht unused will definitely affect a planned travel budget, However we managed to negotiate to bring it down to 1000 Baht per night. Still I wish we are informed about such deposits while booking or atleast sometime before check-in.

Review 38:The breakfast-they had minor varieties on each day and chef's specials upon request, spectacular sea view from the room, the Hot bath in the balcony is amazing feeling and extremely romantic, the room interiors were beautiful and their special room fragrance, also it was interesting to have an opportunity to choose flavor of our bath set. The drive to patong was just 15-20 mins. Phuket fantasia is just 5-10 mins drive away.

Review 39:Location sucks if do not have a car. Kamala beach is a dud. It takes 15 minutes drive to reach batong beach where everything is.

Review 40:Once we were in the hotel, everything was excellent except WiFi which was spotty and slow. Breakfast and the views from everywhere were top notch.

Review 41:The villas and rooms has wooden material and there are some insects that shows up inside the villa.

Review 42:View and staff also the swimming pool. Everything was great

Review 43:The front desk staff could be friendlier. They hardly smiled. The breakfast could be better!

Review 44:Undoubtedly, the best about this property is its stunning view! It overlooks the sea and it is just absolutely breathtaking. No other way to put it.

Review 45:The staff are not so friendly to guests. The room boy, receptionist, and especially the bellboy.

Review 46:All of hotel's facilities are very good and comfort. Especially for our Honeymoon Suite Room. Its really wonderful room with a nice sea view, and cozy Jacuzzi private bathup spa.

Review 47:Hard to communicate in English, had to go and talk to reception to get anything done differently.

Review 48:Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, beautiful sea view, clean and quiet

Review 49:This is not the hotel's fault. Too much Chinese this season, they making so much noise at Poolside Restaurant during Breakfast time!!! :(

Review 50:Beautiful ocean view!! Great Customer service!! :) (Especially thank you for "Ms.Da") Delicious Food & Service from Plum restaurant!! Lovely stay!!!! :D

Review 51:No complaints at all really. I was a little surprised there were so many children, as I thought it was an adults resort only, but I guess they make allowances during non peak season. Maybe they should be more clear about this so not to upset certain guests with a different expectation. One point about the rooms - could do with a clock. other than that - PERFECT.

Review 52:Staff were very friendly. Nice un-intrusive service. It was a lovely sanctuary each night away from the busy streets of Patong ... but I enjoyed Patong aswell. I wanted to stay somewhere quieter.

Review 53:Steps going up to hotel because I have a mobility issue

Review 54:Great staff and places to sit even on wet days. Bar service great and food wonderful. Swimming pool and spa excellent.

Review 55:Without asking, the hotel converted my initial payment from THB to AUD at a detrimental exchange rate. If the invoice is in THB then they should charge their customers in THB unless the customer gives them their permission to convert to their home currency at the hotels exchange rate. The breakfast could be a bit more substantial.

Review 56:Fantastic views over the bay, great location with a gentle stroll down to Kamala beach. Enjoyed the Rocks pool. Local 7Eleven few mins walk away where you can stock up on supples (large bottles of water 14THB compared to 190THB in minibar).

Review 57:I stayed at Cape Sienna for 3 nights after living in Thailand for 4 months. The hotel was the perfect place to wind down, relax and pamper myself. The setting is wonderful, the food was very good and the Spa excellent. Highly recommended.

Review 58:The breakfast choices are pathetic. This could be the only reason that i will reconsider for my next visit.

Review 59:We stayed here for 3 nights during my last visit in Aug 2015. The location is ok if you plan to rent a car. The hotel staffs are very friendly.

Review 60:Overall the hotel is not very hospitable. I found the staff very clinical and everything must be paid in advance before they even finish talking to you. Maybe because they are not a big chain, I was expecting a bit more of a personal touch to it.

Review 61:I liked the location of the hotel, near Kamala beach, that is a lot quieter, but not too far from Patong Beach. The view was also excellent

Review 62:It's up a massive hill so if you don't want to walk far I wouldn't go here, it's so expensive to eat there and they forget to mention they add on 200 baht to every meal you have basically, the breakfast isn't very nice it's just plain and basic! there is a restaurant just around the corner which is half the price and just as nice. they also charge you 200 baht a night you stay.

Review 63:The views was lovely, the pool was nice and we had a spa bath so that was nice also.

Review 64:Nothing except this place is not convenient for elderly couple/ handicap people and customers with no car.

Review 65:Everything about this place is perfect for honeymooners. Tranquil, nice scenery, cosy atmosphere makes it a unique getaway. Staffs are helpful and friendly makes holiday so much fun.

Review 66:I expected night swimming. But the running time is over 7pm. So Icouldn'T.

Review 67:Staffs are very kind. So you might feel very comfortable. Also veryclean and nice swimming pools make me stay inside of hotel. Eventhough it is a little far from Patong beach, hotel's suttle bus ischeap and good. Also pool side restaurant has reasonable price andawesome tastes.

Review 68:location is very bad. Right on a hill and way too far out of the town which is very small and not very nice at all. I would not recommend it, I would rather stay in Patong where there is more to do and nicer places to stay.

Review 69:breakfast was good.

Review 70:had to pay for shuttle into town, this should be free as it is at all the other resorts. Main pool was very exposed to all guests dining

Review 71:Staff are lovely breakfast was great bed comfortable and room quiet

Review 72:Pool is right in front of the dining area - no,privacy A little out of town, but they do offer a free shuttle into patong

Review 73:The view Spa on the balcony

Review 74:Staff: the hotel staff are not very helpful on getting one for us unless we use the hotel own service which is 25% more expensive than the taxi company without any extra service. When I asked them to get contact the taxi company after I expressed the hotel taxi service is too expensive, they are very reluctant and only dialled the number after 5m discussion and simply just past the phone to us. Also they tried to charge us the full day rate while we checked early than the usual check in time rather than the half day rate.

Review 75:Location: in the quiet part of the island but not far walk to the closest beach. Both the room and the hotel public area are facing the sea with beautiful view

Review 76:breakfast choice was limited.

Review 77:Room is incredible. View is amazing. Staff is friendly especially the Bell Driver Mr Nain. Very hospitable, friendly, recommend us to good places.

Review 78:Taxi's. Hotel taxi are a bit expensive. Try finding the taxi stations in front or at the side of the hotels. If you want the cheapest, go for tuk-tuks ;)

Review 79:If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful environment for a good value for money, Cape Sienna is the perfect hotel for you. Not only it can guarantee you the "silent" nights, but also the serene sceneries around the area. Perfect for couples.

Review 80:The location isn't the best because it's on a hill and it takes a few min walk down to the beach, restaurants and massage places. In front of buildings 3 and 5 is a road which can be noisy sometimes especially if you're on the first floor. Depending on which building your room is in you might have to walk a bit from the lobby.

Review 81:The view from the room and the restaurants is beautiful. Sienna Rocks is a great place for sunbathing and to see the sunset. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are spacious.

Review 82:Wifi very unstable and week in room. Checkout process could have been improved as we had to repeat our airport shuttle to 3 different staff

Review 83:Location , facilities, jaccuzi , view , pools and spa. Room was very well furnitued. Also shuttle to patong was excellent.

Review 84:The furniture it's old We book a table with view at one of the restaurants, they confirm but when we reach there they give another one with no view. Nothing to do with a 5* hotel

Review 85:The view is really nice(only if you stay at superior floors, otherwise it will be cover by wires) You can choose your shower gel flavor

Review 86:The staff was very helpful, always smiling and willing to assist. Sea view was breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious and offered just enough variety.

Review 87:Restaurant and mini bar prices are very expensive. Limited shuttle service. asian type breakfast

Review 88:Great view, comfortable and clean rooms, free wifi, nice restaurants and beatiful hotel

Review 89:Location, you have to walk 15 minutes to get to the beach where you can swim. And then the beach is really trashy. Pools are really small, made more to sit in and look good than swimming

Review 90:Awesome bed, nice rooms, good view

Review 91:Kamala is a nice holiday town. Location of hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Nice pool / sun beds area. Chefs at b'fast are very friendly.

Review 92:Limited bus shuttle and wifi is not to stable

Review 93:The hotel was clean and quite. Amazing view, really good for relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful

Review 94:It would be great for more frequent free transfer to Kamala beach and Patong beach in a day. Especially if we wish to stay for longer days next trip.

Review 95:We like the sea view from our bed, pool side, during breakfast and from the lobby. It's the beauty of this hotel.

Review 96:However all the staff were friendly we had some language/communication problem sometimes.

Review 97:The hotel was clean and quiet. One of the best of location for a relaxing holiday. The breakfast was good enough as well.

Review 98:Hotel's condition was okay, but since I was 6 months pregnant, I didn't realize I had to do alot of climbing around the hotel. Bathroom tiles ageing, and the sink is not ergonomically designed.

Review 99:It was a quiet beautiful place, away from the hustle of Patong. Nice view of the sea from the pool. Staff were very nice.

Review 100:Nothing, I really liked this hotel so much and thanks for the good friendly helpful stuff

Review 101:Very friendly stuff - very clean hotel - rooms big - bathroom very clean - facilities are very good - after check out the stuff allowed us to use the infinite pool till 6:00 PM cause we have late flight - Vanilla Sky restaurant is perfect place for sunset - breakfast very good by the pool side

Review 102:That we have to walk 10 min to the beach, the hotel could provide transfer as it is really hot. Kamala beach was a bit dirty, so we decided to enjoy the pool in the morning and take a taxi to a different beach every day, which was really nice to get to know Phuket. Surin beach is just 5 min driving and it is really nice.

Review 103:Cozy and romantic environment, pools were fantastic, with excellent view. Big, comfortable and modern room with balcony with view to the beach. Food was really good, many choices, both Thai and European at good prices. The sunset was so beautiful from the top bar, with nice sofas and view to the beach. Hotel would be just perfect if it would have private beach. We also really enjoyed the pool table near the Vannila sky bar. It only opens at 16:00 though :( they are very competent arranging tours, by giving good advices on each one to choose.

Review 104:Drinks and foods in the hotel are a bit expensive

Review 105:We stayed 3 nights in the Junior Honeymoon suite with the jazucci on the balcony, so we had an amazing time. Great spacious room and very nice view. Staff are helpful and very kind, wifi is very good, the pool and the place for the sun-beds very well-situated and comfortable. The hotel may not have a direct access to the beach, but the Kamala beach is only a 10 min walk.

Review 106:Very bad checking in, i had no hot water in my bathroom, told them 3 times nobody fixed it, pool is Dirty, sheets of beds were not changed everyday, they were not clean

Review 107:The bed was so comfortable

Review 108:given that the hotel is spread out, it would have been nice for someone to show me the other areas, for example, the tennis courts and other facilities in case I waned to use them. I really only saw my room / pool area and reception and spa

Review 109:loved that every room is a sea view loved the peace and quiet, yet only a 5 mins walk from 7 eleven and other shops don't need to leave the hotel - there is plenty of sunbeds for sunbathing, pool, pool bar, pool restaurant, spa....everything you need at your fingertips

Review 110:Great facilities, friendly attentive staff, perfect venue for relaxation and comfort. We would highly recommend the honeymoon junior suites, the couples spa package and the rooftop bar Vanilla Sky.

Review 111:Wifi in the room not to good on mobile but I think this is an iPhone issue more than router.

Review 112:Friendly staff Excellent choice of excursions Great food selections and restaurants Room comfortable with great view of the ocean

Review 113:Dust bunnies in the corners of the room and hair in the bathroom behind the door. There was oil residue on all surfaces and i thought this was not a very clean place. That being said most european holiday locations rarely are. If you are an american international traveler just be prepared for dirty in foreign countries. Fyi, the gym was kind of small and not enough equipment to get a solid workout in. I guess that is why we have a beach ey!

Review 114:View was awesome and the staff was friendly.

Review 115:rooms located very far from reception. food was average. for a property claiming to be five star, there is still a lot rough around the edges -- there was a mattress dumped in front of our passageway for the entirety of our stay.

Review 116:views of the bay from the room were amazing. property also located on a nice, quiet street known as 'millionaire mile.' bed was very comfortable and toiletries were personalized.

Review 117:The staff at Sienna were just about pleasant enough, but because we havebeen to places where the staff have been extremely friendly, attentiveand accommodating, we didn't feel that this place was of the samestandards. Also, the Wifi is appalling. Keeps cutting out and veryunreliable and frustrating. We heard others complain at reception, andupon checkout, we alerted the problem to them too, but little notice wastaken. This would be enough to deter us from a second visit.

Review 118:The views were amazing and made the stay very relaxing and peaceful. ThePlum restaurant and Vanilla Sky Bar were very nice with great food anddrinks. Breakfast by the pool was a great way to start the day.

Review 119:Wish cheap cocktails at happy hour went a bit longer - they were soooo tasty!!!

Review 120:Everything. The rooms were very comfortable and well designed. I loved both the pool areas, the cocktail bar at sunset was amazing as was breakfast each morning by the pool. The food was amazing and the staff friendly. Very pleased with our choise to stay there, the no kids policy was also great!!

Review 121:Having to go home!

Review 122:Everything!!! What an amazing resport - staff were courteous andefficient, pool areas were both very nice, only 10 minutes walk to thebeach, great location for getting tours from, food and drink were alittle more expensive than you would expect in Thailand but the qualitymade up for this!

Review 123:Unsuitable for wheelchairs, bar and good restaurant not access-able for handicapped people, location too far away from crowded beach, no free shuttle service to and from airport

Review 124:Large room, view, good spa, rock pool before opening

Review 125:You have to constantly resign in to the Wifi The sunbed area is too small to cater for the number of guests and they need to find a way to secure the mattresses on the beds themselves. The gym is way too small for an adult only resort. Thought it really good value for money this time but trying to book for same period next year and prices already gone up by around 50%.

Review 126:This was our 3rd visit and some of the staff remembered us which was nice. They are really helpful and genuinely seem to care about the guests... The property location is excellent. It's adult only mostly (except for the villas) so it's peaceful and relaxing.. Vanilla Sky Bar has the best views although the prices are pretty steep. Breakfast choices are fantastic.

Review 127:This hotel is strangely designed. It's basically a tall building. Our room wasn't great, little sunlight, view hidden by building in front. There are 2 pools, but you may as well assume that there's one since the other one is separated by a road and is very small/disconnected. Horrendous wifi. Not a 5-star, more like a 4-star.

Review 128:Food and pool were nice.

Review 129:Wifi connection breaks down all the time. Hotel fails in small details that, if fixed, would elevate it to a premium location. Massively overpriced over the Christmas period.

Review 130:Comfortable rooms with amazing views. Food very good in all restaurants. Pool area is nice and comfortable. Food is great.

Review 131:It was an amazing place to go and relax. It was close enough that you can walk to the beach but there's also the luxury of being up on the hill with an amazing view of the ocean with an endless pool.

Review 132:Wifi connection is really too slow Nothing else

Review 133:room with jacuzzi on terace The different restaurant The swiping pool on top of the sea The Gudge and comfortable room The breakfast and the roof bar

Review 134:Hotel location is a bit far from Patong beach and they do not offer enough daily shuttles to the beach (1 daily) and Patong (2 in the afternoon). Bus only takes 9 people and during peak season is always quickly booked up. Breakfast is the same every day with little variety. Rooms do not have baths only showers. 5 star hotels should have baths in all rooms. Some rooms offer big jacuzzi baths but these are situated outside on the balcony and rate is very high for this room type. Restaurant meals are good but drinks were very expensive at 4.5 times higher than at the supermarkets. Hotel towels are not thick and fluffy but rather a bit old and stained.

Review 135:Hotel had beautiful views across Kamala Bay. Beds were very comfortable & rooms clean. Restaurant a'la carte Asian meals were good.

Review 136:Nothing much not to like.

Review 137:Great location and good facilities. We are gym users and this was a bit oversubscribed at times. Breakfast well organised and adequate. Meal in Plum restaurant was superb. Great location to walk to Kamala beach where there are loads of good restaurants and quiet bars.

Review 138:room smelled like mildew sometimes very strong. Shower grout had mildew. Room could use a dehumidifier

Review 139:Beautiful view, staff friendly, comfortable beds, good food at the restaurant and liked the free buffet breakfast

Review 140:-bus shuttle to patong was always full -many stairs to climb to the roof bar and -other places, not suitable for people with with walking problems on a nice hill but no beach acces no sun chairs at near beach

Review 141:very nice pools wonderful roof bar friendly staff nor to far from patong near village kamala has nice restaurants and small shops and taylors

Review 142:Messages not passed on till next day or late that evening - everything fabulous

Review 143:Location,Friendliness of staff, extremely comfortable beds, views will come back

Review 144:My only criticism would be that the towels in the room were not the fluffiest but I am being picky!

Review 145:The staff, the pool, the cocktails, the great choice at brekkie, spacious room, great sea view, walking distance to Kamala. Gym also good. Nice comfy sun loungers. Everything looked very new and well maintained. Happy hour at the pool was good value... £4 for a v nice cocktail. Bed was great, v comfy. If you needed a taxi to get to town it was easy, usually you could get one within 5 minutes. 200 baht (£4) to get down the hill to Kamala. V close to airport so quick transfer.
