Review 2:The view from the restaurant -- AWESOME
Review 3:Requested a no smoking room. We were given a smoking room.
Review 4:We met a security guard checking doors. He was very friendly and it was nice to l know he was there. Restaurant was great and great service.
Review 5:This room they gave me should be condemned. Felt like I was going to fall thru the floor, and bathroom was falling apart. The tv was a relic! Seriously, this is 2015, they dont even accept that tv at goodwill.
Review 6:The cofee was good.
Review 7:the bed was awful and hurt my back so bad I had to sleep across it and the room was dirty or just very old ......
Review 8:very inexpensive and the staff of the pioneer were awesome
Review 9:30 years ago, good place to stay,(little competition).Today, run-down, worn-out . No parking near your room at night. Too spread out, like a motel. Tiny TV, remote didn't work.
Review 10:It was brief
Review 11:bathroom needed updated, caulking real bad mold and mildew, toilet ran all nite, they needed diverter on air/heater heat blew up under the drapes.
Review 12:Liked the location to the river, and the bed's were comfortable.
Review 13:Room badly needs some renovating and refurbishing. Appearance looks old and dirty. Sinks and toilette, etc. need replacing.
Review 14:The price and the location were good.l
Review 15:The hotel is very old and needs to be updated. Our door was hard to openthen when it did open the knob would not latch shut. The lady whochecked us in was not friendly at all would not give me a chance to evenask for handicapped room she was like we already up graded you. Probablywont be staying there again.
Review 16:The bumbleberry restaurant was awesome we would go back in therejust to eat.
Review 17:Waited 3 hours for the rooms to be ready. Ended up taking one then waited one more hour for the second room. They were dirty and beds like bricks.
Review 18:Price
Review 19:EVERYTHING ABOUT THE PIONEER! DO NOT HAVE TO GO THRU THE CASINO WITH ALL OUR STUFF. NO ELEVATORS AND WE JUST PULL UP TO OUR ROOM AND PUT OUR STUFF IN! AND THE RESTAURANT IN THE CASINO HAS THE MOST UNIQUE FOOD! DELICIOUS! TWO THUMBS UP FROM ALL EIGHT OF US !!
Review 20:The low baby toilets, slots that didn't pay & no place for our children to be part of our reunion. Had to go to Harrahs where most of our family stayed with children, loose slots & great places to eat.
Review 21:The rooms were great for the adults in our group & for meeting our Laughlin family there.
Review 22:The hotel check in took FOREVER. The staff was reluctantly helpful. The pool was closed all day Saturday for a wedding. The spa was BROKE?? The pool was dirty. They should have way more non smoking CLEAN rooms.
Review 23:The pool and beach access, easy parking.
Review 24:Need way more non smoking rooms. The pool was dirty and the spa was CLOSED??? The Pool was closed all day Saturday for a wedding. The pool was the main reason we went to Laughlin.
Review 25:The pool.
Review 26:The motel-like bungalows made for easy vehicle access right outside ourroom & take our pet out without going thru an entire casinoespecially since being handicapped.
Review 27:the TV was a little small and hard to see if laying in bed.
Review 28:i liked not having to go through a casino to get to my room. it was really nice to be able to park right outside our room
Review 29:Liked the closeness of the hotel to the beach/river. Also LOVED the restaurant in the hotel. Would recommend it for anytime of day for any meal to anyone.
Review 30:This room was so disgusting. Filthy doesn't even describe it. Bloodstains on the carpet. (Bullet??) Holes in the curtains. The shower wasso disgusting there was no way we were going to shower in it. It was aone night stay on the way to Colorado. I wished we would've justslept in the car. It gives me the creeps just to think about it. Themotel should be condemned. Don't stay at this horrible hotel!!!!
Review 31:There was nothing to like. The price of $24.99 should'vetipped us off.
Review 32:Sink drain plugged - not able to be fixed moved to another room and rugs in both rooms were filthy, stained, frayed and had numerous burn marks. The room was classified as "non smoking" but the large open space under the door allowed the exterior smoke to filter in and everything smelled of cigarette smoke including our clothes and luggage. Sinks were old and worn. Blankets had burn holes and the box springs had pee stains from previous dogs. TV's were ancient but they did work. It was obvious that any profits were not put back into upkeep or upgrading the facilities.
Review 33:The staff were very friendly and accommodating and linens were a better quality than from the rest of the facility. Location was very good.
Review 34:my sister lives in Bullhead and I live in CA . Love to drive over for a couple days just to get away .At Pioneer I can bring my little dog and not worry when I am out . The room is always clean bed is comfortable price is great
Review 35:There wasn't much to like. The room had a TV that was probably 15 years old, with 10 stations (maybe less) that didn't come in. The Wifi was paid for $4.95 per one day or $11.95 per three. Through a Paypal Account. I paid for it because I had to do some homework while there and had to reboot it every few minutes to get it to work. Room was dirty. Staff wouldn't allow us to get ice in our cooler even though it was 113 degrees out and our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator and the ice was on the 1st floor. I could go on and on but only have 2000 characters. Seriously stay somewhere else.
Review 36:The Casino restaurant Bumblefield I think it was- was really good. We had prime rib hash and while I couldn't begin to eat it all, it was very tasty.
Review 37:Worn-out furniture, moth in the bathroom, TV remote didn't work, toilet ran until you jiggled the flush handle.
Review 38:Price. Most inexpensive room on the Laughlin strip.
Review 39:Well the rooms could use a little help.. But other than that good place to lay your head down.. Great place to park your boat..
Review 40:Love the new beds.. Very comfortable..
Review 41:The only problem we had was that housekeeping did not clean our room for one night.
Review 42:The registration staff was exceptionally kind. I really like how the gambling hall is quaint, yet really comfortable and nice! I would really reccomend staying here to anyone that wants to save money and still have great service.
Review 43:No more free wi fi. New service was too expensive and was pathetically slow. A waste of money.
Review 44:The staff is friendly, Good value, good boat parking. Good for travelers with pets. We love this place. Yeah it's not Harrah's but we don't come for the hotel. It's just where we sleep.
Review 45:The room and the bathroom were very old and abused by the time. Actually they are way behind our living time. WE have seen allot of insects and cockroach curling around the bed and in the bathroom, and the bed matrass it should thrown out because, the springs pushing up the thin sheet cover, make your sleep miserable and heart. We believe this hotel is ready for demolishment. Because of its wood in structure you will hear every light movement from the second floor and next doors.

Review 47:had a bit of a problem checking in...had to make a side trip to Bullhead to load a debit card with more funds to cover the hold money they wanted.
Review 48:Nice room, very quite and very clean, bed was great, pillows were wonderful.
Review 49:Everything, there was a big hair ball under the toilet paper roll when we first got there. If two people slept in the bed one one person got up the other would roll off.
Review 50:Nothing, worst experience of my life.
Review 51:Would have liked a larger TV
Review 52:Blueberry Flats... food was great and the view while dining over looking the river, just outstanding. Rooms were in excellent condition
Review 53:Sticky stuff in carpet in bathroom No hairdryer No coffee casual area Machines tight Shower uninviting
Review 54:Close to river walk Has private beach area Beautiful area in back Restaurant wonderful Sell homemade products
Review 55:Ice was not available and the hotel wanted to charge for it, While playing slots we ordered a Rum and Coke and the waitress brought a diet coke with rum and refused to change the drink. .
Review 56:Location of the property, Close to everything and the theme of the Pioneer.
Review 57:When we got there the staff was welcoming. We then walked into our room and there was trash in between the beds, someone's old sandal next to the bed, dirty underwear hanging behind the bathroom door and makeup on the pillow cases. The bed sheets had burn holes from smokers in a non smoking room! The carpet was dirty and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed, the sink gave an awful smell when washing hands or brushing teeth. The shower was clogged and dirty and filled up with water when showering. When I approached the front desk to ask for clean sheets they complied and sent a cleaning team in but could not switch us rooms. Later that evening there was a fight outside our door which we called security and they showed up fast. People were drinking and partying all night making it difficult for all of us to sleep. Never going back again.
Review 58:Security responded quickly when we called. Also their boat parking lot was roomy and good distance from the rooms.
Review 59:Overall stay wasn't bad. I just wished they paid a little more attention to the trash cans placed throughout the property. The smell was pretty disgusting.
Review 60:Asside from the long wait. Breakfast was very good.
Review 61:In side room structure was not maintained well. Plaster coming off wall, Loose fauset, wall borders on wall cracked, but for the price that was fine.
Review 62:It is in the middle of everything.
Review 63:The decor and and upkeep of the room and hotel needs a little attention. For instance, the ice machines, TV's, beds and stairs could use an upgrade and/or reconstruct. Possibly a redesign of the decor in the rooms and/or better furniture. Unfortunately kids in the above room were stomping and I could hear everything that was going on all night.
Review 64:The ambiance was great, and the helpfulness of the staff was great and speedy. The restaurant availability was awesome. The scenery and availability to the river is excellent.
Review 65:The fact that i had to return the blow dryer after every use. A real big inconvenience to me. Also the night operator would not reveal her name.and NO cable tv hated that.
Review 66:The price.
Review 67:We had a smoking room and it still had the smell of smoke which is to be expected (we don't smoke). We weren't asked about a smoking room & I forgot to ask. The bed cover had blood stains.
Review 68:The rooms were affordable and available.
Review 69:When I arrived at 3 pm .like I said i would on booking.com. A very rude genteman named Erik told me the checkin time was at 4 pm I told him the site gave me a option for 3 pm and he informed he her does not have to do anything booking.com says .That booking.com has no say in what time I checked in and HE is the only one that makes that decision.Along with a few other degrading remarks about Booking.com.So that started my stay on a bad note which made it hard to enjoy yself. Then being woke up at 4:30 am by delivery trucks made it an even worse stay.
Review 70:The rooms were clean that is all i can say good about this place.
Review 71:After checking in at 4:30 P.M. I went to my assigned room and found it had not been cleaned. ie bed unmade, dirty towels, dirty cups on the table. walked back to check in and got a different room. 10:30 p.m. the kids upstairs are playing basketball. called front desk and complained. They did nothing. 11:00 PM checked out, no refund, and drove 95 miles and got another room.
Review 72:The bedspread and the bench had cigarette holes in them. Non smoking rooms are at a premium. Wallpaper peeling in places.
Review 73:The restaurant was excellent. The room was quiet. The air conditioner worked like a charm. The pool was great.
Review 74:Never have had a horrible stay, and I've been staying there for over 10 years !!
Review 75:The restaurant in the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner is very, very good !
Review 76:The room was horrible. I expected quaint, but we got stained ceilings, 30 year old carpet and a room that smelled like 30 year old smoke. I will say the bathroom was clean
Review 77:The casino was quaint and I appreciated the old school feel. I especially liked the slots that dropped money. I missed that.
Review 78:The bed was very uncomfortable, I have back problems so it was rough sleeping, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back.
Review 79:Location and gambling. I love that the hotel is pet friendly
Review 80:The room was dark, the carpet was torn and there was cracks in the wall by the AC. The water in the shower never got hot. Also tried to use the hot tub and there was a group of like 15 people in it drinking and security didnt do nothing. It was as joke!
Review 81:Location.
Review 82:This hotel is old and needs major updates. To be fair I saw they are replacing carpet with tile floors, but the wallpaper is way dated and full of smoke as is the old drapes, old televisions. I had to get a smoking room to be at the waterfront with my dogs...WHY? There are "no smoking" rooms, but not pet friendly rooms? There shouldn't be any smoking rooms and at least (4) pet friendly rooms in that area as it's near the grass. I say no smoking as it's a wood structure building. Rooms should include flat screens ,refrigerators and microwaves. Also Ironing supplies.
Review 83:The staff was excellent and responsive. I needed a refrigerator and I got one. We were going on an excursion and needed the room cleaned early since the dogs would be left in the room. They did it without complaint. The front desk clerk changed my room so we could be by the waterfront. kudos to the staff. Please eat at the restaurant. Food was delicious and way plentiful.
Review 84:will not stay there again till they get new bed's. even cheap mattress's would have been better. one even had a spring popping thru. lucky we didn't get impelled. the other was so sunk in, two people rolled together. So you had better like who you are sleeping with.
Review 85:people were nice.
Review 86:There was no hot water first day for showers. Second day showers were scalding and no cool water. Called desk, no one ever came both times. Shower knob was broken, shower had little water pressure. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. Ice machines were broken and had to buy ice bags. Faculty was understaffed for event for the weekend. Not worth the $$ we paid per night.
Review 87:The location of the hotel is right in the middle of everything. We love staying at the Pioneer if you are in the Water view side.
Review 88:convenient, pleasant, accessible to other attractions and events. A definite fit to our laid-back relaxation desires. We had been there many times with our pets and plan on coming back
Review 89:the only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the person checking us in, he had no customer service skills.
Review 90:the overview of the pool was amazing and so convenient.
Review 91:Dilapidated rooms that could have/should have been refurbished years ago. Better yet, the buildings need to be torn down and a buoy anew!!!
Review 92:Location is in best location to walk just about anywhere
Review 93:The room advisor was some what rude and actually made a female friend in our group feel afraid to make a room request.
Review 94:Old western feel of surroundings
Review 95:Requested fridge diabetic. Not there and none available. Why did you book us when requests can not be met? 2nd day brought fridge which froze the contents. Rooms are old, poor shape. Just because we have a dog does not mean she is dirty or will wreck the place.
Review 96:Linens were wonderful and plentiful. Housekeeping lady brought lots of ice when no fridge. Most staff did not seem to care.
Review 97:our room was not good at all, wall paper tourn from the wall, no drain stop for the tub, bathroom floor was dirty, carpwt was tourn from the mop boards, and our beds were not made the best, they were still wrinkled, we have no intertions on staying in there again, and we stayed 4 nights, we will not jrecomend the pioneer to any one, and to top this all off the macnines in the casino was tight.
Review 98:There is no way to know if they have pet rooms available until you get there. When you book on line at a pet friendly hotel you expect to get a pet friendly room. There is no place on the add that says to call them first.
Review 99:TV was all snow. Vent cover barely hanging on wall over toilet. Said they would send someone to fix but in four days, no one ever came. Very poor customer service.
Review 100:location
Review 101:Thin walls. You can hear everything. Luckily I am a heavy sleeper. Do not stay here if you are a light sleeper.
Review 102:The restaurant onsite is above average. The mattress was firm. The fact that it is a motor inn. My golfer friends were able to pick me and my clubs up no problem.
Review 103:The fact that there are no river activities at the time was sort of disappointing. Our anniversary is in February so we have to deal with not a lot of outdoor activity.
Review 104:The location on the river was great. Just far enough from Las Vegas and the big city commotion. The Pioneer has the old western charm to it and the value of the room, dinner and drinks makes for a relaxing time.
Review 105:Rooms are really old beds are uncomfortable linens are old and ugly and dirty towels were dirty and ugly bathroom was really outdated and the bathtub had ugly stains
Review 106:The price
Review 107:The lights shocked me due to loose fixtures the room sloped down, the door lock didn't work, the tv had poor reception
Review 108:Staff accommodated us by discounting our stay.
Review 109:Found a bug in the bed, water took 20 minutes to get warm , then was scalding hot . There was no hair dryer or coffee pot in the rooms. The beds were so low to the ground it was like sleeping on the floor !
Review 110:The location
Review 111:We've stayed here many times & request the same room. We had a very busy weekend w/our event we attended & was nice to be close & central to many directions. Always a Great time.
Review 112:Some updates to the TV would be great. Some of the electrical outlets need to be fixed.
Review 113:Very convenient for taking the pet in and out. The room was very nice.
Review 114:Overcharged for room. Haven't received credit yet. Room smelled of smoke walls cracked, big gap under door. Shower wasn't working properly. We enjoyed the casino so we tried the hotel. Never again will we stay in the hotel,But, will still go to casino. We were disappointed in the restaurant. Food used to be good.
Review 115:Very friendly people in the casino
Review 116:It is very dated! Old tvs and furniture... And well, everything is OLD!
Review 117:Cheap and quiet! Very friendly staff. They kept me feeling comfortable and welcome. Even all of the other customers were friendly. Even won some money and caught a free buzz! I would recommend this too anyone looking for the cheapest room and great location. It is located next to the golden nugget which has the best night club in Laughlin Arizona! Will be staying there again!
Review 118:Restaurant offered no meal specials and prices were higher then those properties around them.
Review 119:Convenience of parking my car in front of my room. Like the decor of both the room and the casino facilities..
Review 120:I am disabled, told you that.why put me on third floor of a building that the Elevator does not work properly. Due To bad elevator and distance to casino you lost the $200 gambling Money in my pocket.most important You lost my patronage never to return.
Review 121:Can't seem to think of any thing.
Review 122:Rooms need some updating to the wall paper and bathrooms.
Review 123:We like the location from highway, other hotels, loved the location of the pet friendly rooms. the dining room had great food.
Review 124:There was no maid service, there was also no mention that if you stay more than one night your room wouldn't be cleaned and you would need to ask for clean towels. The room was very old. It had a small 22" tv on a stand. They still use bed spreads, which most hotels no longer use. There was no hair dryer either. No elevators and we were on the 2nd floor with an infant. Oh and to check out you had to go to the front desk.
Review 125:I chose this hotel because it had outside rooms and I didn't have to walk thru a casino with an infant, but there wasn't much I liked about it.
Review 126:Smelled, room odor really bad and it was a non smoking room. Had to go buy air freshener. Rug stained. Bed uncomfortable and bottom mattress looked stained and really old. No hot water. Bath faucet all over the place.
Review 127:Convenient for the weeding I attended
Review 128:We needed a pet room but was very surprised at how dingy the place was.I stayed at the Pioneer about 25 years ago and the floral wallpaper ,bedspread and ugly pink carpet ( which had black stains on it) must still be the original. My husband wanted to turn around and leave, but I was very tired so we stayed. The internet photos showed that the place has been remodeled, but I guess they skipped mine!
Review 129:staff was friendly
Review 130:Waitress at the restaurant at Bumbleberry Flats was rude not friendly trying to get us out of there fast made us feel uncomfortable. (she seemed prejudiced toward us she talked to everyone else nicely and even carried a conversation but with us she was very different) Other waitress were friendlier even brought us coffee instead of our waitress. We did not enjoyed our breakfast, we payed for our meal and went some where else to eat.
Review 131:Price of the room, staff at the registration desk very friendly.
Review 132:No coffee pot Lady at check in was a bit defensive so set a bit of negativity at start of stay No little fridge and I've machines not working I did not want to answer just 2 of the questions in this survey but you forced me to answer so I just filled in a false box. BAD idea if you want honest surveys!!!
Review 133:Location and rate GREAT restaurant and good food at reasonable price Nice bar facing the river
Review 134:Staff needs to learn better customer service at registration desk had one in training yet the others seem not to help older male needs a attitude adjustment Dining hall needs a better menu food service needs improvement had to eat at other locations due to quality and service
Review 135:Location and the value for the lodging
Review 136:It looked like we had stepped back into the 60s it was so outdated. The bed sunk in the middle and the room had a musty smell. We cancelled as soon as we saw the room.
Review 137:The staff was very friendly and did not hesitate to cancel our reservation and not charge us any money.
Review 138:The vanity was too low. Very old small TV. The room had not been renovated in a long time. I could hear my neighbors upstairs.
Review 139:The staff was great. Made eye contact and greeted me at all times. All staff members appeared to be genuine.
Review 140:They could not find our reservation and we mentioned we had 3 children, we were told they were not on reservation , so they accommodated us , but did not mention it was upstairs, I am disabled and use a cane or walker , I had trouble getting upstairs and back down, the young lady saw me with a cane and did not ask, she was more concerned with the young man she was training, other wise the stay was very comfortable, thank you.
