Reviews for Quinta das Lavandas

Review 1:Not a strong negative, but the bed size is a double, not queen or king. Fine for us, and it was described as such.

Review 2:Wonderfully peaceful yet an easy drive into Castelo de Video for meals.

Review 3:When I made the reservation I chose the most expensive room because it had a terrace, but when I got there I was informed that the terrace was outside the room, without any privacy (glass doors), so of course it was not possible to use it. Therefore the price charged for it was not fair and in my opinion this kind of misinformation is totally unecessary.. as it just frustrates guests... (even at such a nice place!).

Review 4:Owners are really nice people, beautiful property, excellent service.

Review 5:There is no lunch/dinner in site (but this is clearly mentioned in the description). The breakfast is really good though.

Review 6:Everything was great, the location and the farm are amazing, the rooms are very confortable, and the decoration of the house is very well done. Very friendly staff.

Review 7:Out of the beaten path but surrounded by interesting and fun places to visit. They were pressing olives in their barn making olive oil when we arrived. The owner pointed us to his favorite local restaurants and villages to visit.

Review 8:The rooms, grounds, breakfast were all lovely; but we were most struck by the care and kindness of our hosts (owners). My husband had the bad fortune of getting ill the first day at Quinta das Lavandas and Estêvão and Theresa simply went out of their way to make certain he received the correct medicine, food and reading material. Luckily the illness did not last long & we were able to enjoy many side trips from their Bed & Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the restaurants they not only recommended, but hand drew a map for us so that we would not miss the location. When we left, we felt we were leaving friends. Myrna from Marina Del Rey, CA USA

Review 9:Location is not impossible but make sure you have a map or gps in your mobile. There are almost no signs to find it.

Review 10:Great big house. Very nice decoration, design and taste. Spotless in the cleaning and Teresa the best!

Review 11:The wifi could be better.

Review 12:This is a very nice "farm hotel" if you want to relax in a very quiet place. It's located away from any noise and you only hear the birds and the breese. The hotel house is pretty new and very well decorated. The room is big and the bed is very good. Bathroom is nice. The hotel hostess is a very friendly lady that tries to explain you all what you can do to make your stay pleasant. The swimming pool is nice and new. The farm is very nice to walk around and, if you will stay there in mid June or July, you will enjoy the lavenders fields. They should be beautiful. The breakfast is really a good with local and traditional food in a very pleasant room.

Review 13:The location is absolutely beautiful and the Quinta itself is exactly as in the pictures, could not be more perfect. The breakfast was superb, with local specialities and everyone was extremely welcoming. We got some excellent references for restaurants in town from one of the owners and our only regret was that we couldn't stay for longer.

Review 14:Breakfast could be better ( qualiy bread?) limited space in breakfast room.

Review 15:Welcome drink, extreme cleanliness, location amid lavender fields

Review 16:Beatiful lavender field with an engaging aroma. Magical place, serene and conforting.

Review 17:Beautiful location. The owners were very helpfull with everything. The showed great hospitallity.

Review 18:Loved the tour of the farm and distilling operation by our hosts.

Review 19:The sympathy of the owners, the belvedere hill, the pool, the living room, the rythm and the silence of nature.

Review 20:nothing at all.

Review 21:everything. From the small size operation to the space given to the clients.

Review 22:Leaving

Review 23:Kindness and attention of the owners

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:Everything

Review 26:WIFI didn't work in our our room but wasn't really a problem as the property is so homely that you can pop into the lounge room or TV room to log in. Very social and friendly.

Review 27:A lavender oasis just minutes from the town. A fabulous place to relax and recharge after a day of sightseeing or travelling. Teresa and Steve are so friendly and go out of their way to help you see the surrounding sights. The pool is fabulous! 23 degrees celcius in May - divinely refreshing. Breakfast was the best we have had so far on our travels in Portugal, the staff even ask if there is more they can do. We absolutely loved Quinta das Lavandas

Review 28:Firstly the dedication of the hosts, who are truly and that make us feel totally at home away from home. After the gorgeous suggestions you have made in terms of enjoying the cuisine and historic sites in the region. The space is unique, absolute tranquility. The whole process of obtaining biological Lavender is ancient and very interesting. The ability to harvest our own fruit for breakfast makes this place a single site. And the little foxes, of course.

Review 29:Friendliness of owners and staff Tranquil Location Breakfast

Review 30:warm familiar welcome. excellent infrastructure.
